Never the one for doom and gloom, I am nevertheless compelled to offer an observation.

Our once proud and powerful country has a terminal condition, sort of a national cancer, the United States of America is dying.

Our core values, the ones which have sustained us for over two hundred years are rotting away.

We are DYING FROM WITHIN.

The greedy, the ignorant, the selfish, the criminals of history have placed their comfort, their careers, their safety,  and their miserable short sighted agendas ahead of the Country.

"What's in it for me?" is the cry.

"Save my pension plan" is more important than saving the Country.

We are dying.

Are YOU one of the murderers? Did you vote for Dumbo?

We must remove the cancer at it starts with each  American making their own sacrifice.

Let's start by kicking all politicians out of office. Say NO to everybody.

Please quit blaming us who voted for Bush. I would do it again and again. Gore, Kerry, Bush..there was no other choice for me. Just like you have your reasons for voting for whomever..we did too.
The Dems have pretty dirty hands too and also grimy fingernails where they have been digging in the pig sty. Let us not forget the story starts at the beginning of the first handout. LBJ and his Once Great Society..with all the grubby little hands in the pockets of everyone.... WE HAVE BEEN SO BLESSED!!!!!
I am disheartened with Bush, I am disappointed in Bush..but I don't hate him

I guess it’s easier to put the blame on Bush rather than the real lousy President which caused most of the issues that hit Bush right at the start of his term! Bill Clinton. Most of the failures are related to his worthless days as President. Can’t blame it all on the sitting President unless you just don’t want to accept the blame as it should be accepted. If the womanizing Clinton would have taken action to secure the Country from Terrorist and or took Bin Laden out after his first attempts most of what we are seeing now would not be an issue!

And YES! Its not just the USA that is dying it is the world as a whole that is dying. The scum of the earth are taking over and we are letting them! It is just mostly here in the USA that we let all the criminals run free, fill up our prisons and allow them to further burden us and our nation. Liberals gotta love em!

Try as you may Rguy, it's not the fault of Slick Willie. The suggestion indicates the desperation RWNJ's feel now that their hero has sold them down the creek. Too bad pal, you're stuck with the truth and most people realize what it is.

And YES, those who voted for Dumbo after he showed himself to be a fool, an idiot, a liar and a criminal SHOULD admit their mistake.

The buck stop squarely on the desk of Creepy the Contagious Commie (father of bailouts, fat cat enrichment and destruction of a great economy).

Every American should be willing to say NO to a bailout which puts the final nail in the coffin of free enterprise. So what if your little nest egg shrivels away to nothing...what's more important, your personal comfort or the future of your country?

Every Congressman who votes to approve this fat cat giveaway should be indicted, convicted and hung for treason (right after Dick and Dumb lead the way)..

I will however suspend the sentences if ALL the greedy criminals who defrauded our country are indicted, tried, convicted and sent to the gallows first.

Nothing else can save us from ourselves.

Come on people...how about a little sacrifice for you country?

"The greedy, the ignorant, the selfish, the criminals of history..."

Let's not forget the greedy consumers that thought they could "Flip that house" and make a quick buck. Or the ones that bought more house than they knew they could afford. I agree that there is an epidemic of greed in this country but it's spread evenly from top to bottom. I have been inoculated against greed. It's called good upbringing! That's something else that's missing these days. Passing along the values that keep us from being tempted.

Moo,

Do you have nothing to add to the topic besides Ron Paul this and Ron Paul that all the time? Stay on topic like you told me to do and don't be a hypocrite!

Well said mmustangg I saw lots of people buying houses even as they kept rising in price. I saw one community go from $225,000 to $350,000 in about 9 months. I looked at most of the people who were buying and wondered how they could afford the houses, new cars and all the other things they had. I now know how they did as I see the houses sit empty.

Yes Yellowdog, I can put the blame where it belongs as I know where it sits.

FLR,

And to make matters worse, people saw equity in their homes skyrocket and they rushed to the bank to borrow against it! So now instead of having one mortgage, they have two! Like I said, greed is equally spread.

I am one of the few that took the time to lower my debt. I didn’t spend above my means and prepared for what I saw coming. My wife was laid off in July and even without her income we will be able to survive just fine. Will have to give up a few luxuries but we will survive!

Now I just have to pay for all the others who did not do the right thing and act like responsible adults. Excluding the few who just happened upon hard times without fault of their own. I’m sure there are some of them out there.

Lets not forget the rotten Lobbyist!!! They should be outlawed.. And I agree with Mustangg and FL. Anyone with a brain, who See's home values increase from $225,000 to $350,000 in nine months AND still BUYS deserves everything they get! They don't deserve my hard earned money to bail them out. I wasn't out buying bigger, better, more, more, more, more..... They should investigate and retrieve the money from the thieves who profited and the village idiot Fannie/Freddie Exec's who approved such ridiculous loans. Don't forget to throw in the govt officials who knowingly allowed this train to run off the track. :+(

Vote for Ron & he'll work on that!

We can see from certain Reps standing firm that some understand the magnitude of what all this means and how it is anything but good for the majority of WeThePeeps.

Whether it's enough to slow this 'rescue' down remains to be seen. I'd like to be optimistic. But I'm a realist too. I don't see those in congress who are going to profit from this as going down easily. So confident they seem w/an election only 39 days away...

You do indeed have the right to place the blame wherever you choose Rguy...so what if you're absolutely wrong!

It does the soul good to confess...admit that your boy is a worthless cretin.

Right stang, the flippers and real estate "experts' fueled the greedy dash to the cliff side..........from a philosophical standpoint, the dems belieeve that the ignorant and greedy must be protected from themselves (in order to protect US from THEM) while the RWNJ's believe all should rise or fall on their own merits/demerits.

This is a legit position for both but the new game in town is that the two have been combined to allow the greedy to defraud and them WE (the hard working, responsible majority) bail them out.

Let them ALL go broke and to jail. If YOUR 401 goes in the crapper it's worth it.

Yellowdog, I’m not wrong and it really doesn’t matter whether your willing to except that or not. At least I don’t support a admitted illegal drug user. If you’re willing to want to get rid of all the criminal Politian’s then why would you want to support one that is not only a criminal of greed but a true criminal as far as supporting drug dealers and the use of illegal drugs? That to me make him worst than even Slick Willie! He even felt that he was above paying for traffic citation until he decided to run for President! He is a real choice isn’t he. One that we can should our children as what not to be!

Let's see Rguy....your boy Dumbo the Dancing Dunce is an admitted alchoholic, cocaine user...is HE the one to whom you refer? or is it the one who smoked a joint but didn't inhale? Willie liked the girls and a good cigar, while your idol Larry Craig seems to prefer chance encounters with guys in the men's room...take your pick.

It may be your poster boy of the hypocites Rush (to judgement) who rails against drug abuse but took thousand of pills (enough to make him deaf (he's already the King of Dumb).

I would prefer NO politicians over the bunch of liars, crooks and thieves that we have now, roger. and YES I could do a better job than any of the miscreants which YOU seem to worship.

Don't forget that you are entitled to spew forth any drivel you choose thanks to my pals at the ACLU.

All y'all can try to assign blamr till the cows come home. How about some solutions? Why not give the money to legal adult taxpaying Americans? Seems to me that would fix the whole thing. To hell with the greedy companys and their CEOs. Say you have a job at Walmart and you set a fire by accident. Half the store burns down. Are you fired? Sure! Do you get a hefty severance package? Well, do you?

They're all bad and no one party or group is to blame. Y'all are just looking for scapegoats when you should be looking for solutions. Do you think that those in government are that much smarter than you are?

You know, all this talk about greed reminds me of a blog I started about people having too much money. A year or so ago, people were spending money like running water. Spending on things like video games, flat screen TVs cell phones for 10 year olds eating out 5 nights a week, spending on every gadget that Best Buy could put on the shelf. All the while, they complained that they couldn't afford health care. What people should have been doing was SAVING! If people had saved their money THEN, this wouldn't be such a crisis NOW!

LOL YellowDog - You seem to think I idolize any Politian for some reason. I don’t. I think that most of them aren’t worth a pay check as most are only serving one propose and that is to secure as much money as possible and a retirement check equal to the base salary and tax free. I just dislike your choice most of all. I also don’t feel that we should bail out all those who were so irresponsible an greedy. Seems that most of the Dems who you support sided with the one you call Dumbo. That in its self makes me wonder who the real Dumbo is. As I said I have looked into the future and saw what was coming way back during the Tech crash and started preparing then. Doesn’t matter much to me which way they choose to go with this bail out and I’m sure it matters less to them what I think.

What you think does matter Rguy.

I'll bet we agree on more than we don't.

The give and take gets a little spiffy at times but our ACLU pals make sure we all have the right to disagree.

I also don't see the need to bailout greedy or stupid lenders/borrowers/investors/idiots.

Let the chips fall where they may. Any Rep who votes for this bill should lose in November.

If every household in the US would get their share of the bailout Vit, we'd all have a share of about $475,000.

Just pass the bill, give the $$$ to the citizens and tell the banks and wall street to pound dirt.

Ronald Reagan had certain great ideas with his Reaganomics, however Bush 41 messed up and renegged on Campaign promises, and absolutely stopped any focus upon the economy during his second year in office, and Bush 43 basically ruined everything and from the year 2000, the national debt has risen from $5.6 trillion to $9 trillion! Damian!

the one and only point i agree with you on is...fire every single person in government!~ thats the best way i know to clean house ! start fresh and new! as far as this "ALL" president bush's fault..grow up ! i dont care who is in office now.it is not all his fault! this mess was happening BEFORE 9-11.it was hidden.cant hide it anymore and obviously it has gotten worse and out of control.why does this have to be about the "party" in office? this is about AMERICA! what we have allowed over the "many" years..not just the last 8!
we have a serious issue before us..instead of looking to blame how about we work our way out of this.for the better of our country.

The real debt (if you disregard the accounting "creativity" of the gov't) is reported to be 57 trillion.

It's ironic that the Pres and the republicans have led the charge for deficit spending.

Liars, crooks and thieves.......all who infest DC (with the temporary exception of the 228 who voted NO on the fat cat bailout).

Blame MUST be assessed and the guilty MUST be punished.

Otherwise, nothing changes.

If we imposed the death penalty for official corruption or at least LONG prison sentences, thing may change.

Dick and Dumb MUST be indicted and tried for war crimes. The hague is the only possibility since the Dem's in DC are handmaidens to his corruption and incompetence.

YD,

You said... "If every household in the US would get their share of the bailout Vit, we'd all have a share of about $475,000."

How do you get your figures? www.liberalmath.com? *lol*

If you take $700,000,000,000 and divide it by the US population of 305,299,399(as of 12:22pm today) you get $2,292.83 per person. Either you got lied to or you are the one telling the lie. Or do you not fact check. Which is it?

I did the math myself and THEN found this to back it up... http://tinyurl.com/3hsr95
