Last Post 16 hours Ago

I defended John McCain against the attack of a BLEEP last week who claimed the Senator was a War Coward. I was so steamed, I make remarks not usually seen from the 'ole dawg, and my remarks caused my pal stang's blog to get yanked.

Could it be that McCain IS a campaign coward?

He has requested that the Friday debate with Obama be "postponed" because of the fiscal crisis (one mostly the responsibility of HIS party, the Grand Old Party of Deregulation and NON-OVERSIGHT).

Is Johnnie Boy afraid to face the music for his parties blunders?

Is the War Hero a Campaign COWARD?

This post doesn't make sense. He only asked that it be postponed, not canceled.
With good reason too. He is not trying to back out of anything, just that he thinks the crisis should be handled first.

I respect him for that. Why don't you?

The time for McCain to worry about the economic crisis was during all those years when he voted for unbridled deregulation and tax breaks for corporations sending capital and jobs overseas, while voting against sanctioning Red China for unfair, unbalanced trade practices. His sudden concern for the economy is disingenuous, for his policies provided the crucible for the meltdown. This economic crisis can't be solved by a quick-fix bailout whose white-collar corporate welfare is going to saddle generations of average Joe taxpayers for generations to come. Congress needs to take its time rather than rush into anything rashly -- so it's odd that McCain can't spare a few hours to make the debate.

McCain is still willing to debate in place of the VP debates. He is showing good sense, because he realizes that Palin isn't even close to being ready. The whole Republican campaign has been plagued with lies and disparaging remarks.....no need to be surprised about this "sudden" move.

McCain isn't a coward, but he isn't stupid either.....maybe a little slow when it comes to selecting good people.

Well ya know.. we might not have needed this debate if your Liberal HERO there would have agreed to ANY of the town hall forums....

Once again.. liberals are putting party agenda ahead of country.

Daytona, I was wondering how long it would take the liberal retards to pounce on this. He's begged Obama for debates, and the incompetent democrat always avoided it...like the plague, and would quickly change the topic. Now, that McCain is making a commitment towards trying to work on the economy issue, all of the sudden muslim boy wants a debate...it's about as shallow as when he thumbed his nose at women, then as soon as McCain selected Palin, Obama quickly runs out and seeks female help...what a clown! What an empty suit!

Yellowdog - He's no coward, you're a moron for even posting such. Obama's the coward, the anti-American, and a arrogant liar to boot.

Shadows - he's not slow; not like Biden, who Palin will chew up in the debate. Maybe Joe will ask those in wheelchairs to stand up again! The fact that you say the repub campaign is plagued with lies strictly shows your lack of character, since you're the one telling a lie, and a serious lack of grasp on reality.

Obama/Biden - Dumb & Dumber II

Few things have so clearly differentiated the difference between John McCain and B. Hussein Obama. On one have we have a US Senator that understands the need to stand up, be a leader by putting aside campaign politics. On the other hand, we have a ego maniac who shows little concern for the people he wants so badly to govern. If you can't admit how desperate this makes the dem/libs looks now- you'e had too much of the koolaid.

I don't think McCain is afraid of the debate.
I believe he is USING the postponement of the debate
to make him look good, as if he and/or Obama has
the power to do something the other senators can not.
He hopes that by asking Obama to join him in postphoning
the debate, voters will see him as a leader who
puts country first and is making a personal (token) sacrifice.
What a bunch of baloney! Voters will see through his mask.

CnP.. I see a new blogger here has asked you why you blocked his posts on YOUR blog.....

Doesn't know anyone here, and you blocked him just for his stance? What an absolute hack you are!!! I see NOBODY is getting through on your posts which means even the other liberals here have run from you and your absolute propaganda!

Eventually you will just fade away, or the other liberals here will tell you to go away as you continue to illustrate socialist agenda over American values!!

What an intellectual COWARD!

I don't believe McCain has ever been a coward,
about ANYTHING! He's not running away from anything, trying to hedge a debate, (UNLIKE Obama) or backpedal. Like Frank said, all he asked for was a postponement.

McCain is a war hero and I've said so.

His idea of postponing the debates reeks of a fear of being linked to Dumbo The Dancing Dunce at this critical economic meltdown time.

It's very funny to see the RWNJ pals of mine continue to (a). defend their hero, Creepy the Certified Clown and (b.) attempt to blame the "liberals" for a problem clearly caused by the misdeed and poor governance of their boy, Dumbo the Flying Fool.

I think McCain senses that his goose is cooked and he's looking for a way out.

Are you blocking stuff Pro? Let the fools have their say, it's fun to see who can "out dumb" each other .

He's blackmailing Congress, saying he will only go if the bailout is passed. That's no change. Kind of similar to how Bush bullied through the Patriot Act. Look Dodd and Franks, really made this happen, I agree, but even the republicans stood by and watched it happen. People forget that all of that money these banks poured out in these mortgages goes somewhere. Now the same people who always advocate a 'free market' and deregulation want to pass a bill allowing the Treasurer to restucture private banks, with a trillion dollar blank check. The market has to stabilize itself, the REGULATIONS are what need to be in legislation. The Government, in a sense, assuming control of the the majority of the mortgage and insurance industries is COMMUNISM. Tell me how it isn't. Now, they could very well fall even harder, at our expense, on top of an economic meltdown...people only look at one side..President Bush and McCain, among others were confident in the economic system not too long ago.

BOTH SIDES, they are all sounding desperate! It's all the same no matter what presidential campaign it is or ever will be. At this point in time - it's all about choosing the best that can get us through the next four years. If we hate the media and the presidential campaign for slinging mud - what makes those who can't see the positive side of things any different? I choose to be different and investigate for myself the good things on both sides so I can be ready to vote wisely when the time comes! We should all take that position - because no matter what we say - good or bad - we the American People can not make a difference if we focus only on the negativity of the matter!

I also have to add - I have noticed when things are high rolling and everyone is thriving and doing excellent in life - We are all Republicans - then when we fall - we expect a bail out and then we all become Democrats. Since EVERYONE in the US want's their cake and eat it too - this leaves ALL of US being a mixture of Republicans, Democrats, and Liberals! So the sooner we can admit to what we - the US Citizens really are - the sooner we can actually start to act like a United Nation for a change. I can't believe we have fallen for the biggest psychological warfare ever and that's to let ourselves become so divided that we can't think and do for ourselves and have to depend on others to make our choices for us. I know people don't want to admit to it, but we are closer to being a One World Nation than many think. For those who believe - this event is described in the Bible as well (I stated - for those who Believe). There are so many things to support this statement, one being that we are in debt to China and are in the process of becoming more so in debt to bailout out the failure of Investment Businesses. Many of the smaller nations depend on the larger ones making it in the world in order to survive. We don't want our economy to become like Russia nor the Middle East, however every single Nation has an invested interest in what is to happen to the US Economy. Because what we do affects many other Nations and what other Nations end up doing has a great affect on us as well. Because we have been so blinded as US American Citizens, we inadvertently allowed this to happe

Because we have been so blinded as US American Citizens, we inadvertently allowed this to happen. And the more time we waste arguing over matters - the more time we give the Government to make their move without our approval. Before we know it - we will become a One World Nation - and the thing of being a Republican - Democrat - Liberal - or whatever you choose to call yourself - will be a thing of the past.

Abunai, I thought that both Obama and McCain had agreed to the terms and date for the presidential debate.

Is this another example of not being able to believe and/or depend on much of what McCain says? I wonder what foreign leaders would think of that characteristic? Not exactly a way to build trust.

Let's face it, even though the topic of the debate is supposedly one of his strongest areas, he is just not up to this debate. Poor Palin must be terrified about hers.

Well shadows, this crisis must be resolved by Monday. I do not think asking Obama to wait a couple of days more is backing out of anything.

McCain is simply giving the country priority, just as the Republicans skipped the first day of the RNC because of the hurricane.

McCain is needed in Washington. Isn't Obama a senator also? I bet he doesn't even show for the vote. He would be useless anyway. All he ever does is vote "present".

Paste all you want BM (aka Gotchya), you shall not cause another meltdown on my nickel.

Obama has taken the cowardly road in voting "present" Frank. He didn't want to leave a trail of votes which could cause him problems in his campaign.

Face it folks, Obama is an empty suit who can deliver a good speech.

That's why I feel inclined to bust McCain's chops...he has always been a maverick and a fighter and his words and actions of late make him just another two faced politician...he can do much better. I hold him to a higher standard...we all know Obama is unprepared to lead and is a bag of wind...it seems JBoy is too.

McCain looked confident, experienced and trustworthy.

McCain is NOT a campaign coward. I've always liked the guy.

Obama looked poised and smooth.

As far as judging a debate, it was mostly a tie. The debate will not change a single mind.

Question : can McCain overcome the stigma of being the guy from the party which ran the economy into the crapper?
