It's amazing to me, a self professed liberal, pinko-commie, that I am leading the assault on the Socialist and Welfare State mentality which is running rampant.

If a life long Democrat can't stomach the Government Bailout of the rich and greedy, yet the RWNJ Republicans think it's just DANDY....what has become of us?

Are you "conservatives" the new "Comrades of a Socialist Regime" (established and nurtured by George W. "Marx and Lenin"  Bush) , which will redistribute the wealth from the middle to the rich?

The next few weeks will see Government Bailouts to the auto companies, the airlines and of course to wall street firms, lenders and other "capitalists" who no longer can depend on the free market system to survive.

Welcome to the United States of Socialist Bailouts, the Land of the Rich Getting Richer while the few middle class remaining,  GET THE SHAFT.

Come on "Bushies", what have you to say. I suspect the silence will be deafening.

I guess it's Clinton's fault?

The French are at fault. The only change we will see is change for the worse; no matter who wins.

The difference is that in a socialist state, the government wouldn't loan a company money. They would have owed it to begin with! Every time you say bailout, why not say loan? Because is doesn't make your argument look good? The government LOANS business money all the time.

I'll ask you here as well as the other places you've ignored it.

Would you rather AIG go under and take all the retirement accounts of average people along with it or would you rather the government step in and protect the assets of Americans by extending a SHORT TERM LOAN?

A loan with a huge interest rate and a 2 year pay back period makes your splashing of the word "bailout" seem less like a gift and more like good business move. I'm expecting you to reply with your normal "what if" response. Have at it.

"Come on "Bushies", what have you to say. I suspect the silence will be deafening."

Deafening like when I pointed out that ALL oversight hasn't been removed? Deafening like when I pointed out that fines have been assessed on regulated companies? Deafening like when I pointed out that a Democrat is chairman of the Senate Banking Committee?

YOUR silence is the only thing deafening! *lmao*

A "loan" which is never repaid becomes a lawsuit (imagine the attorney fees!!!!) .....will it be repaid?

Who knows.

Bottom line...our country has abandoned the free market system in favor of a SOCIALISTIC enterprise, run by LIARDS, CROOKS and THIEVES...of both parties.

Your HERO, George the Groveling Goon, is Captain of the Ship...or should I say "Chairman of the Central Committee".

May America rest in peace.

YD,

You really stepped around the words "what if" reply but your statement is still a what if. What if what if what if. Remember, socialist would have owned the company to begin with. This is still a loan. Dance around that!

Moo,

If you'll REMEMBER, Guy Fawkes was actually caught, hanged, drawn and quartered for his treason! Leave it to you to promote a domestic terrorist!

Yea Stang, the past two years of Barney Frank really caused this problem.

Try as you may, your boy is guilty as charged and everyone (including YOU) knows it.

It's good for the soul to admit :

George is a fool.
So are those who voted for him.

"If you'll REMEMBER, Guy Fawkes was actually caught, hanged, drawn and quartered for his treason!"

A fate our Founding Fathers would too have shared had things not gone our way. Instead our nation was born. Cool how that worked eh?

Besides, it was a great movie.

OK, enough silly fighting. If a government doesn't protect it's citizens it's not doing it's job. Not just from foreign invaders, but from within. I'm not advocating regulation here (I'm a true conservative) but sanity. Getting permission to do something is a fact of life. it's been that way throughout history and should continue. The sub prime thing (that's what started this crap) should have been refused from the onset as idiotic. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Both candidates are far too good to be true. Woe unto us.

Woe is right Vit.

Why not the same punishment for corrupters, swindlers, crooked politicians and anyone else who lies, cheats and steals?

Draw, quarter, hang by their thumbs and then burn what's left at the stake?l

Try not to be obvious in your ignoring this! especially since you though no one would challenge you here.

Moo,

V was a movie that had as much to do with Guy Fawkes as Oliver Stone's new fantasy flick will have to do with George Bush. In Britain, they celebrate Guy Fawkes death! You hold him up here to be a hero of some kind. Way to go!

That's what makes our pal stang, such a jewel in the rough, MO....he is the leader of the 19%.

I guess 19% of what he says makes a little sense but 89% is hot airish, BS.

That poll lasted longer than I thought. Usually when they go against the talking points they are taken down and usually replaced w/a silly poll that is left up for hours.

Tho, the poll that had 80+% saying the Obama/Biden was the better ticket for our nation on the economy than the McCain/Palin ticket was taken down and replaced with this one. Which doesn't reflect well on the GOP either.

No wonder the GOP wants to ban political clothing from the election. Can't have a sea of Obama shirts in the polls when the vote-counters deem a McCain win ;):

I've got two words:

1. "FRANKLIN"
2. "RAINES"

Chew on those words for a while. Now describe the taste.

But you'll go on blaming the entire fiasco, as you do everything, on the Bush administration.

YD,

I could nail an irrefutable fact to your forehead and you would still find a way to ignore it! When I point out Democrats that are as much to blame as anyone else, you act as if those facts don't exist. I can see why you and your clone say it's not worth arguing a topic with me. You can't do it without ignoring facts. Like these...Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd IS A DEMOCRAT!

Or

Freddie Mac cooked the books under CLINTON but was caught and fined $400 million under BUSH!

Ignore those facts! *lmao*

"No wonder the GOP wants to ban political clothing from the election."

And the Democrats want to bring back the Fairness Doctrine because liberal talk radio can't compete! Your link had this in it "...little-known, decades-old law..."! I seem to remember reading where that law was originally rammed through BY DEMOCRATS! Ooops!
A lot of states, like NY for instance, have restriction on signs and handing out pamphlets within 100 feet of a polling place. This is nothing new. Don't forget, this law prohibits BOTH candidate's advertising. And yes, "Obama or McCain" on a t-shirt IS advertising! Democrats only obey a law when it benefits them!

We're going to trust a poll from the Clinton News Network? What would happen if the feds did not bailout these huge companies? Think of the jobs, investments and tax base they would lose. You libbys want it both ways. You would cry if he did nothing and you cry when he does something. Nothing is ever good enough for you...no wait...that's my ex-wife...ha ha ha...Same difference....
