I've got an idea for fox 35, and my fellow blogger. Fox stands to gain ratings, and web traffic, as well as taking a role in supporting democracy.
A TELEVISED POLITICAL BLOGGER'S REFERENDUM with the theme Americans Solving America's Problems. Participation should be open to currently active bloggers, including fox reporters, up to, let's say 40 total, with 30 seconds each to briefly address each topic. Five days, five topics, a half hour each day, although it could be filmed all at once. Have a follow up debate series the following week with the top 10 based on viewer votes, where the speakers would have two rounds of one minute speeches. Speaking order would be based on luck of the draw, for each topic. My proposed agenda of topics:
1) What is the most significant change we could make to improve America?
2) Where do Capitalism and Democracy meet, that is what should be the role of the government in regulating the practices of Corporate America for the national interest?
3) In light of historically low presidential and congressional approval ratings, how can we reform the political process to ensure accurate representation of the majority? Is the two party monopoly counterproductive?
4) Considering soaring jobless rates, and trade deficits, how should we address our trade policies?
5) Given the cost, and rising global tensions, do we need to reconsider our occupation and reconstruction efforts in Iraq?
Participants could retain anonymity, if they'd like, just require a login and password to enter. I will out myself. This a chance for REAL people, make a REAL effort, through a REAL free press. This is a way to make all of this actually mean something more than venting rhetoric. Who else has got the guts? Speak up. If you believe in what you say, then stand up and be heard. Answer to this Fox. Here's your chance. It's viable and it's profitable. E tu, fox reporters, must be able to appreciate the concept if your blogs are anything more than contractual obligations. Please, at least post this, run it by your producers, judge blogger response, and give an answer.

They are really the same principle...If you like "bi-partisan" legislation, you enjoy it better when you're getting screwed two ways at once. Your thoughts?
Suspending the Debate?

John McCain announced he is suspending his campaign to return to Washington in light of the economic dilemma, and he also now wants to postpone the FIRST presidential debate with only a month and change left til the election. This in addition to the wall the campaign has put around Palin at campaign stops, and campaign ads that clearly blur the truth or just flat out lie. Don't get me wrong, because I was p.o'd when Obama refused to do a series of town hall debates. I'm beginning to believe that neither one of these candidates has a platform they believe in. Just more of the same 'get me elected' junk from two candidates arguing to be agents of change... Change is inevadable, we've seen alot of change the last eight years, well, actually the last sixteen years. Good or bad is in the eye of the beholder. It's clear to see the interests of corporate america supercede ours. I don't see congress declaring an emergency session to reevaluate the free trade agreements that clearly have contributed to the joblessness and trade deficits and stagnant economy. Republicans want a free market when it serves them, but want the government to bail them out when they fail. Investment comes with risk. THEY should take the loss, not the taxpayer. Democrats want to tax and spend, Republicans want to cut and spend, spend, spend. We need to stop spending everything not absolutely necessary and levy the taxes necessary to get us out of foreign debt. We give these companies tax breaks to move overseas. I hate 'em all....politicians that is.... WE NEED TO SUSPEND THE US GOVERNMENT TO RETURN TO DEMOCRACY.

I highly doubt fox will post this, as they won't post any clear indictments of the NWO. Although they will post the distractive partisan bickering. Fox... You are part of the problem.
Economic guru, I am not, but it doesn't take one to see what we are up against here... The more you look at the numbers, and listen to our treasurer and our presidential candidates, the LESS it makes any sense at all. $1.3 trillion dollars(which is a typical unreallistically conservative figure) is what Paulson's vague proposal is slated to cost, and that is for the GOVERNMENT to assume control of the largest mortgage entities in America, the largest insurance entity in America and purchasing valueless debts of countless other struggling banks. And then they have these puppet economists putting the pollyanna spin on the whole thing, implying that this will actually PROFIT the government and people. Pollyanna meaning unrealistically optimistic. By assuming these debts, it is being said, banks will be freed up to extend even MORE credit which will supposedly restart the economy. Fix the credit epidemic with MORE CREDIT? With astronomical jobless rates, skyrocketing energy and food costs and personal debt, how is lending more going to help anything beyond a short lived burst? Best case scenario, people will then again mortgage these properties from the government AGAIN, just shifting and reshuffling the same problem. Worst case scenario, the government and taxpayers are stuck with worthless mortgage securities and unpaid loans when it doesn't work and the banks run right back down. We are in the most vulnerable position imaginable. We already have a budget we cannot fund. Not to mention the 53 trillion dollar entitlement nuke that's about to drop. We have been laid to waste by debt and reckless spending, despite partisan bickering, there are NO conservatives in Washington. WHO IS GOING TO BAIL OUT AND TAKE CONTROL OF THE US GOVERNMENT IS THE BIG QUESTION.

Despite attempts by the candidates to relate to working class Americans, neither side has taken a stance on reforming our trade policies that really stands to improve the situation for the American worker. Obama's solution to everything is tax credits, which is a euphamism for welfare, which would be nice if money grew on trees. . . well I guess money is printed on paper, that comes from trees, and the more money they produce, the less it's worth, like fruit . . .so I was wrong, in America money does grow on trees, but we owe Farmer Federal Reserve and the Banker Boys nearly 10 trilion dollars. What's a few more trillion between buddies, right? McPalin is working the time tested approach of playing on 9/11 and war time patriotism, and their solution to the economy is "energy indepenence", adding Alaska's National Wildlife Refuge to proposed drilling expansion. Have we as Americans not witnessed the trends in the fuel industry? With this global capitalist mentality, which has manifested it's ambition and potential with the implementation of the FTA's and WTO, do people really still rationally believe that increased drilling will mean lower prices? That oil and natural gas, like oil and gas pumped from federal and state land and offshore already will be sold at market value, to whoever buys it us, the chinese, whoever. We are in a sense, allowing these corporations to rob us of our national resources, with tax incentives. We pay a price that is so high, industries profits are so high why?. . . not because of production costs, but because of market value, however whenever there is a production issue speculation runs rampant and prices increase more than they ever go back down. The investment banking industry is a big player in all of this. These "American" corporations are no longer American but Global. In a sense, they are their own sovereign entities, although we as Americans bear them on OUR backs, more and more so as we as a people allow corrupt leaders to further indebt us to the very same corporations. Free trade would be great if it were as it was presented to us originally, but this "FREE" trade is a one way street. We're doing business with our enemies, and putting the american worker in unfair competion with foreign industry that does not have vaguely respectable labor, environmental or quality and safety standards. Our trade defecit, national debt, unemployment rate and economy speak for themselves despite partisan spin and stock exchange numbers. The future is never certain but the path we are on is quite clear. I welcome any opposition, because it won't be the truth. See what your leaders ambitions are at http://cfr.org and http://spp.gov
DECLARE YOUR INDEPENDENCE!
It's time everyone get a grip and quit buying into this partisan bs election that the media has down our throat since '06. It's irrelevant. These politicians, who portray themselves as bitter enemies, really aren't. There is a game being played and WE are the pawns. If the American people were paying the least bit of attention, the next revolutionary war would be fermenting right now. Why are our borders still open? Why are they clearing all the analog radio frequencies? Why are they putting RFID chips in US passports? Why does the FEDERAL RESERVE, a private institution, control the value and inflation of our currency? Why does NOONE in the media talk about the SPP that Bush secretly signed with the mexican president and canadian prime minister? Why do they still defend the Free trade agreements? Why will this never make the community page? ..Why...Why? I'll tell you why. We are being corraled into global communism. Don't believe it? ALL OF YOUR CANDIDATES, AND ALL MAJOR MEDIA HEADS ARE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS. LOOK IT UP AND SEE WHAT THEIR STATED INTENTS ARE....LOOK UP SPP.GOV

Do you believe any of our candidates are intent on or capable of bringing about change, and if so what do you think that change will be?
Patriots or Patsies?

What is a "patriot"? I think it is some one who loves his country and the people thereof. Right-wing media is using the word as a guilt trip though. Anyone who openly disagrees with the administration, it's policies or the war must be un-patriotic. Well our nations first "patriots" were anti-establishment. They must be unpatriotic though, because I'm sure they would be disgusted with the Patriot Act. I consider myself a patriot. I know where and who I come from. If history truly repeats itself, then for the interest of liberty, for the interest of democracy - that is the interest of the majority above the aristocracy, it is time people of passion, if there are any left to shake off this top heavy, lame duck government in pursuit of another. There is a time and place for war - when there is no peaceful alternative, and that is where we are locked up. We are beyond the point of reform. In my opinion, we would be better off to divide this nation into seperate sovereign entities, hopefully who could be allied when the smoke settles. Our nation wasn't established in the perspective of today and the hundreds of millions of citizens we now have under a central government. Liberty is being sacrificed. Justice is not only blind but deaf and dumb too. States don't have the sovereignty they should have under the constitution. Oh, I should probably say God bless this.. and God bless that... but I can't stand the vanity. I just hope God can forgive the ignorance.
