Anyone else stop to wonder just what our government is going to do with all of these homes they now have control of?  Could we be witnessing the immigration and housing problems converge?  It doesn't seem that there are enough American's who can buy them.  Given both of our candidates stance on globalism, I wonder if we'll have an open immigration policy emerge, or even a foreign government buying up bulk lots of real estate.   What do you think?

Just an opinion government control and ownership is communism.... How they divide it that makes it socialism. Sounds like a win win situation.. LOL..

Sometimes a little regulation is better than none and a lot of control later. Most of the other g8 nations wont get into this housing problem we have because of sub prime regulations they have..

BTW like your profile. I don't think politics is anything more than trying to fear people into the fact if they question anything they'll get called names anymore. Also like the R.A.T.M.

“I believe that banking institution are more dangerous than standing armies… If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency… the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of their property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered”
-Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

I do believe the Real Estate Market will rebound, eventually. I got my license to practice just as the market crashed, and I immediately put it on "Voluntary Inactive". I just took and passed my 45 Post-License Course, and put my license right back on "VI"
I've yet to ever work in the market, and have never sold a single piece of property. I'm hoping with the rebound will also come new regulations that prevent another disaster, such as the one we're in now. Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Brokers and Banks were not only ones at fault for this mess. Consumers lied right along with everyone else, and everyone was driven by greed and "get rich quick" dreams. Right now, many people are SOL.
I would like to see the Government somehow, step in and help people out, but I'm at a loss as to how. I heard a figure from an analyst that it would take something like $2700.00, from every, single American to "fix it." Many people don't have that kind of money
to fork out, to fix someone else's life that's FUBAR!
