Michigan's Secretary of State just declared that Michigan will require proof of citizenship before issuing driver's licenses.  It's about time they took a stand to defend the constitution on the matter.  7 more states to go.

Most of them don't have a license anyway so what's the difference. Not only do they not get a license but don't bother getting insurance either. When they get in an accident or pulled over, they just bail out and run.

Here is how to tell if if they really are concerned about drivers licences: If the state would be willing to offer a license that is say just for an operator's lic. and not presentable for anything else! Virgina for example takes underage kids and takes a profile picture instead of face front. Other states actually turn the ID 90 degrees.

But no.. when a state wants to give them the very same ID as a legal citizen, then they are NOT sincere, and are playing games.

Even trying to pass off to me that someone here that already has no respect for our laws is going to get a legal license AND insurance? Oh Please! Do I look like an idiot? Go pass that off on some liberal!

lol.....when I moved to florida, they wouldn't accept my MI license as I.D. to register to vote, or get a FL license.
