I saw on the news, how the reporters were interveiwing the owner of the Gun store, who sold the guns to the Wacko that did the VT shootings.

They were asking him if he felt responsible, and about the current Gun laws.

Why do we NOT see reporters talking to Car dealers, and talking about if the dealer is responsible for the Drunk driving deaths, or any of the many deaths caused by cars.....

 

Now

I would like to know how he was able to pass the background check, if the kid was in the hospital before for mental illness???

 

Just my thoughts on a few things.

If the mental health and government officials had done their job and recorded his adjudication, it would have showed up on his background check. Don't blame the gun dealer or the gun.

He passed the background check exactly as it was predicted he would back when the legislation was passed. His records were not in the instant check system because whoever it was that was responsible for doing so did not put them there. The flat out impossibility of keeping such a system current was the main argument against the bill. As a result the gun dealer does as he is supposed to finds no report.And the system is as predicted useless
