This blog is for Steve Gehlbach. Since you and I are the only two golfing bloggers on here I am wondering if you are going to catch any of the Masters this week? Have you ever been? I have and it is beyond words. The super bowl of golf is here folks and I am sure Tiger will do well!

is golf a sport? how come golfers don't tap each other on the rear like football? how come golfers don't spit like baseball? how come golfers don't have fights like basketball, baseball and hockey? i don't think it's really evolved into a sport

Ok Spiedo I read my blog multiple times and still I fail to see where I called golf a sport or suggested even once that was what this blog was to be about. You are correct it is a game and not a sport. Today an amateur called a penalty on himself. When was the last time a football player asked to see his play in slow motion so that he could call a penalty on himself? When was the last time you saw a pro golfer involved in drugs, cheating on their spouses or dog fighting? It is one of the last honorable "games" out there. Yes, you are also correct they do not punch one another, it is a game of honor and these men also have morals and mutual respect for one another. When they lose they shake hands and congratulate one another.

Grown men should not really touch one another on the ass either. Just my opinion.

Golf is the greatest game on earth. Period.

He's only angry he can't hit the ball.

When I play golf I am one with nature, earth, GOD.

I'll take four hours of bliss and constant struggle to better yourself, making light of mistakes, and making a fifteen footer for birdie after flagging an eight iron from a bunker.
Golf is life shrunk into four hours.
Perfect your Golf game and you will see life in a new light.
Your true personality comes out on a golf course. Many don't like what they find.
