Kudo's and well done, Sarah - I was even able to overlook your frightening resemblance to Tina Fey.

You, my girl, have nailed it - you've done EXACTLY what it's going to take to win this election and to lead your party for possibly the next 16 years:

You took Obama on, you called him what he is, and you REALLY pissed him off.

The key to beating ol' big ears is to take him on directly, because he doesn't handle confrontation well, he doesn't like to be questioned or made fun of, and when he's off script he invariably says something stupid that he regrets later and that hurts him.

The key to this victory will be to get Obama to disqualify himself, and he'll do that by changing his story, making misquotes that can be used to show his lack of understanding of the world around him, and looking uncomfortable and unsure under stress.

Which is why he won't agree to the debates he initially wanted with McCain.

Palin took Obama on directly and now he has to answer.  I'm sure that David Axelrod is writing furiously as I type this, but reporters looking to 'give Obama a chance to respond' are going to be waving microphones in his face while he's upset, and that bodes well for our party.

Well done, Sara - and as you put it so well, "The only difference between a pitbull and a soccer mom is the lipstick."

If that's "right out of the park" and "nailed it," it only goes to show how eight years of George W. Bush's poor speaking skills and mangling of the English language have dumbed down our perceptions, expectations and sense of quality.

Palin's speech was both uninspired and uninspiring, lacking in substance and style. I expected something truly historic and groundbreaking, not a tepid high school valedictorian performance. "Snarky cheerleader" and "homespun schoolmarm" came through loud and clear; "decisive leader" and "presidential replacement" did not.

Palin needed to communicate her vision for America, but she harped on what the opposition would supposedly do (as warped through her own subjective prism) -- rather than concentrate on what *she* would do. She gave us nothing new or concrete to stir the heart and mind, just more of the same worn-out partisan vitriol. Her string of stock cliches also contained more than a few convenient, hypocritical omissions, untruths and contradictions. How can she inveigh against bigger government, growing deficits, rising taxes and scarce vetoes, when those are precisely the fruits of her party's virtually unchallenged governance over the past eight years? What of her flip-flopping on the "bridge to nowhere" pork barrel project to save political face (supporting it until public outcry made doing so untenable) or the $20 million debt she left tiny Wasilla, Alaska (population 9,000) as a "fiscal conservative" mayor? How about the conditionless talks Bush agreed to hold with Iran this past June, despite his previous "appeasement"…

(Continued)...bluster toward others suggesting the same? Do those fall under her pert little anathema?

National and international crises aren't amateur hour; a snide, folksy plain Jane act isn't going to cut it. Palin, her speechwriters, her tutors and her handlers needed to do much, much, much more than what she did at that podium. Very disappointing: has no one in the GOP establishment learned from the Harriet Miers fiasco? So much for the big debut: all it revealed is someone who'd make one heck of a hostess on "The Price Is Right" or "Let's Make A Deal."

"The only difference between a pitbull and a soccer mom is the lipstick"? Palin said "hockey mom," not "soccer mom" -- but perhaps that's just evidence of your not listening to the speech too carefully, Wizard, which might explain the glowing review you gave it.

You mean - an Obamatized left wing liberal didn't like what she had to say about your Messiah being an unqualified blow hard?

Son, that's the DEFINITION of right out of the park

ROF!! I tell ya.. Bush has spanked the pants off of the liberals for his two terms, the entire time they called him the bumbling idiot too! (must drive them nuts to know they got beat by him after all that too)

Now they see this comming down the street? LOL!

That light at the end of the "Bush Tunnel" is McCain and Palin on a freight train! The media and liberals NEVER anticipated this! Honestly, I don't think alot of Republicans did either! The GOP ticket here is a political sunami that has the Democrats standing on the the beach with their little plastic bucket and shovel suddenly standing up and looking out at that wave, realizing that it won't even make sense to try to run!

Wiz, I could not agree more! Governor Palin was unbelievably awesome! She chewed up Obama and spat him out!

She has truly shown her competence and ability to hold the office of Vice President, and no one with even two brain cells to rub together could possibly deny that!

She will beat down Biden so bad during the VP debates he will wish he was never born! The humiliation will be fulfilling for me, even orgasmic. I can't wait for that, and I will record it so I can watch it over and over!

So, ladydanielle, help me out here.

Young girls need to be controlled, and can't be trusted on their own responsibility? They should be told whom to date, when, etc?

That's your opinion of young girls?

I guess in this day & age, yes they do need do be controlled. But, then again, look at the role model. 5 kids & one mentally retarded. I guess overpopulation isn't a factor when it comes to Global Warming, Crime, Traffic Jams, Gas Shortages, Epidemics & Disease, Starvation, Poverty, Prison Overcrowding, Homelessness, Unemployment, Beach Erosion, Inflation and the ever-growing legalities of Where to place our Landfills. one person equals 10,000 LBS of garbage, 20,000 Gal. of water, & 10,000 GAL. of Gasoline. (overpopulation.org) Sweet Jesus-even GOD Stopped at 2! She's pluggin more kids out than a poodle in heat & encouraging her offspring to do so as well! I guess those drunk eskimos are pretty potent after eatin' moose & Popov Vodka-Damn....Oh well, It's O.K., turn on that 90210 & American Idol & let the kids have their way-It's O.K., Maybe by the time the next election comes around, beastiality will be the norm! Freshly-sheared-sheep for all & God Bless America!

maybe the government should just tell us all how many kids we're allowed to have?

at least the Palin's kids and grandchild will have a mother and father who love and support them.

I think that's a pretty good idea. Let's face it- Not a single one of us ever ASKED to be here-we just got thrown into this world & we do the best we can! Sad, but true- maybe there should be a cap on children~ It's a good and controversial thought...other countries have resorted to it due to the aforementioned problems. That would be a good blog topic~

Ladydanielle. You seem to be confused, and tormented with hatred.
Governor Palin is running for VICE PRESIDENT!!!

I don't know if you realize this or not, but the vice president does not run the country!

Another typical brain dead liberal!!!!!

What nonsense!
