This question is for the true fallowers of God. Should the world end now, and you find youself standing before the Lord, and he would ask you "Why should I let you into heaven?" What would you tell him?

I would tell him "Because I took time to learn how to spell and know that there's no such word as 'fallowers' in the English language." Lord, have mercy on those who hawk your word without taking the time to proofread their own.

Gee, Candy, your latest screed sound a lot like something from the Gospel: "God, I thank you that I am not like other people -— robbers, evildoers, adulterers -- or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get." (Luke 18:11-12). That was the prayer of the Pharisee, the most religious and moral of Jesus' day.

As for the tax collector mentioned -- a traitor to his people, employed as he was by the Roman Empire's occupying forces in a profession where honesty was a rarity -- "he would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner" (Luke 18:13).

Jesus' verdict? The tax collector "went home justified before God," not the Pharisee. "For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted" (Luke 18:14).

I'd ask why sensible Joe thinks spelling on the INTERNET is such a crime against humanity and why he judges those without proper spell checkers.. :P And why the Jehovah's send progressively better looking women out every time I tell them I am not interested.

Why worry about it if you truly believe in god and the after life. To me you'd be going to a better place. Bring it on!!

pretty sensible joe... to justify yourself by raising yourself above others is wicked.. My only defense will be I do not deny his grace and I am forever repentant for my sins. I believe christ puts it pretty well in regard to woes and blessings. You have to forever look at life through the eyes of a child to understand the kingdom of God.

Every time I read someone saying the - end is near - I have to shake my head as I think to myself - all of this talk about the end is near is really rhetorical. Does everyone realize that at some time or another in their life - the end is actually near? Don't we realize that we are all born to die and when we die our time on Earth is done?! I believe that our God is ever loving and patient with us - more so than we humans can ever be - that is why I don't believe God will ask why we should be let into Heaven. I believe God is so ever forgiving - that we will have even the last minutes of time to learn the Truth and be forgiven for what we have done on Earth and God will open the gates of forgiveness to us so that we may rest in eternity with God. So the end is always near for all of us - the question should be when will we wake up and make that time mean something real to both God and ourselves?

I wont have to tell him my good deeds to get to heaven. He would know that His son, Jesus Christ, Died on the cross for my sins that I have asked forgiveness for. I am Saved By Grace.

THE REAL QUESTION SHOULD BE; ARE YOU DOING GODS WORK? DO YOU REALLY BELIVE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HEAVEN BECAUSE YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON?

Michael, I would shift the order slightly ...
1) God says it.
2) That settles it (whether)
3) I believe it (or not).

Hey Man, not quiet sure what you mean so I wii just put it like this.
God did and does say it.
I did and do believe it.
And that does settle it for me.
Good to hear from you didaskalos.

I knew what you meant GM. What I was trying to point out is that there are folk who think that their believe or lack thereof changes the realtiy of what God has said or done. So even if I DON'T believe what God has said it doesn't mean that it is subject to debate be cause it is already a settled issue in realtity whether or not it is believe or settle for that person. Understand the nuiance?

Hope you are doing well ... prayed for you today brother.

Yea I understand. After I responded, I read it again and saw what you saying.
It is sad to know how some people live their lives thinking that, just because they don't or won't hear the truth they won't be held accountable. How wrong they are. I have said it before; I would rather live my life like there were a God and die and find out there was no God, than to live my life like there were no God and then when I die find out that there is.
I'm doing O.K. thanks for asking. Thanks also for your prayers brother.
