Its a sick world out there and most of the thanks goes to the court system that fails to protect us. While the courts would rather put someone in jail for smoking pot, to do that they have to let a real criminal out(one like the sicko in this story).

I think this guy did a good thing by showing just how vulnerable that jogger was to a more agressive attack! But I'm sure others including the police and that jogger won't look at it like that! But who knows...it was a wake up call and if the wrong person would have been waiting for a jogger to come along it could have been worse so it should be looked at as a wake up call! However, if that was the case as I described then this guy went a bit to far to make his point by spitting on this jogger, that was way out of line! The guy didn't need to go that far to make the point!

Shannon I can't believe such a wonderful and astute reporter ASKING WHAT HAPPENED........let me tell you what happened.....WE LIVE IN A MESSED-UP WORLD TODAY......NO RESPECT AND NO NOTHING.....and then again WHOSE TO SAY THE JOGGER didn't make this up? Dont' they have a fund for Criminal Acts which someone can collect from..SORRY I GUESS I HAVE THE LAWYER MENTALITY that for every act there's a compnesation TO FOLLOW. ALL I KNOW......THAT BACK IN MY DAYS...yeah we had criminals YEAH we even had THE MAFIA......BUT OUR CHILDREN; OUR ELDERS AND MOTHERS AND FATHERS WERE RESPECTED.............and I HAVE TO SAY..WITH ALL THAT'S GOING ON IN THIS WORLD..OBVIOUS BY THE MEDIA.......YOU WOULD THINK SOMEONE WOULD BE MORE CAREFUL TO BE OUT JOGGING AT A CERTAIN TIME OF DAY...............just like the THE CAR WHICH WAS RAMMED THROUGH THAT HOUSE...I THINK THIS IS "AN INSURANCE JOB" FOR A POOR MARKET............not the poor homeowners......sorry.......its must be me...HAVE A GOOD DAY..........that I meant with all my heart...besides weren't you the one that almost got shot during a news of FBI capturing some hood..BE CAREFUL AND BE SAFE.

The sort of person that doesn't deserve to be in existence. I ask you to keep this in mind. The world is not worse than it was in the past... just televised more. We live in a time where information is @ our fingertips. Things will never be perfect... only semi-perfect. :)

shannon -- you called it -- sicko. Every age and every society will have its share of them. What distresses me is how they are being dealt with. They need to be removed from society.

Secondly, spitting on someone is assault. It's a crime, pure and simple.

. . . Ok, hold on, I'm waiting for the Disney blue birds and Charlie Brown popping hearts that I see everytime I see a Shanon Photo . . . Thinking of Nancy Pelosi . . . OK! That shocked me back!

Time for GOOD responsible citizens to carry the personal compact TASER that is now available. It would have been a GREAT ending with this sicko twitching on the ground. Of course they should run background checks and make it very difficult for those with criminal histories to get their hands on them.
