DO YOU SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE WAY MR. JOSE BAEZ IS HANDLING THIS CASE? IS HE SAYING TOO MUCH OR NOT ENOUGH?

"Attorney's" either means belonging to or connected with one attorney ("an attorney's briefcase") or is a contraction of "attorney is" ("The attorney's going to court now"). "Attorneys" is the plural (more than one) of "attorney." One must gain a grammatical mind before one can gain a legal one -- or a journalistic one.

I'm not sure about legal practice or lawyerly tactics, but I am sure about the professionalism of correct English grammar. "Attorney's" either means belonging to one attorney ("the attorney's briefcase") or is a contraction of "attorney is" ("The attorney's going to court now"). The plural (more than one) of "attorney" is "attorneys." Correct grammar expected in journalism.

Well, he's getting his name out there, so that when someone with some money screws up, maybe Baez will come to his mind.

In that, sure - he's doing it right.

As for the best interests of Casey Anthony? No way, but then, the broad killed her kid, so who cares if she didn't get good representation, right?

Seriously, he's made her look pretty guilty. If she IS guilty, then he's playing it right, however if she ACTUALLY didn't kill her own kid, then he's made her case unnecessarily difficult

I agree with wiz. He just wants people to remember his name. It's going to be hard for him to defend her considering she IS guilty. Everytime he stammers over his own words, that becomes more evident.

Sensiblejoe ~ I understood what was being said and that is enough for me.

My answer is that I think he is acting to protect his client the best way that he can. That's his job to do what's good for his client. As charges of felony child neglect were filed today I must say I was a little amazed that this was the extent of the charges filed against Casey Anothony. He now knows the charges and what he needs to defend his client against.

As for us the laymen, all we have now is speculation. We have the family saying that they believe the child is alive. We have the investigators and prosecutors claiming foul play, possibly even murder. I think that with speculation, based on hearsay, we are behooved to give both sides the benefit of the doubt.

As for me, if I were to speculate based on the demeanor I've seen Casey Anothony show in court and what little we have heard of her story I have two likely theories.

One is that the child accidentally died and she is covering up. If it were accident, that is far from murder and would lay in the same realm and the charges that have already been filed, felony child negligence.

Second is that she gave her child up to someone and is now acting out of shame to keep that secret from coming out. This would be the best of the two possibilities. This too would lay in the realm of a felony child negligence as well.

Her attorney is defending her based on the testimony and story she has given regarding the disappearance of her child, and in that regard he has provided a solid defense. How this unravels will show us just how compete

(Cont... from cut off post)

How this unravels will show us just how competent Jose Baez is. If, as some have suggested, he is sabotaging the case with regards to his comments then he will have betrayed his oath as a lawyer to serve in the best interest of his client. I also assure you that he has probably asked Casey to tell everything she knows because in the end this is the only thing that will keep her from hard time.

Like it or not her attorney is dead on. It is his job to defend her guilty or not and to get her off if he can. Asking for immunity was a smart move on his part and you can bet that there is a set up plan to ask for a change of venue should she ever go to trial because of all the publicity this is getting about "her" instead of the "child" missing. If I were her attorney I would do the exact same thing...tell her to keep quiet...dance around all topics discussed over the phone...monitor what she writes and to who...and as long as I could get away with it...screen ALL information before it was turned over.

Do I like what he is doing...no...I think she is guilty and they are not going to find that baby alive.
