A 5th grade kid in a Colorado school was suspended for wearing a homemade anti Obama shirt.  The school had said to wear red, white and blue to show patriotism.  The kid was told to either change his shirt, wear it in side out or be suspended.  He choose suspension.  Luckily his parents are standing behind him on this.

I've seen a blog on the subject with some liberal touting that since the kid is not old enough to vote, it is not a problem.  I beg to differ since I've grown up knowing that I am a conservative.  I remember being in the 4th grade and knowing why I wanted Regan to win.  Not just that I wanted Regan to win, but I knew the issues.  My kids know they are conservative and why.  I'd bet this kid does too.

I'd be willing to bet they'll find a line of Lawyers willing to stand behind them, too! How ludicrous, and I'd be willing to bet illegal!

You know I think the school acted wrong.. This would have been a great opportunity to get the kids into politics and teach them that we don't have to like others views, just respect their rights to do so.. Rather they went for the if you don't agree with us your out of here view.. And people really wonder whats wrong with the school system..

Oh.. When I lived in Boulder the Highschool used to let the kids out of class and off school grounds to assemble for political protests! Teachers of course continue to get a full days pay, but the kids were showing up at pro-pot ralleys, and anti-republican/anti-war protests!!

I can see how an anti-Obama shirt would get a kid suspended.... That thin air out there seriously effects people.. from Ward Churchill, to the latest teacher forcing his students to write anti-Palin papers and smear Republicans!

Evidently after the hippys were done at Woodstock in the 60s they climbed onto two different busses and passed out. One bus didn't make it over the mountains and ended up in Boulder.. the other made it over and ended up at the waters edge in Berkley!

This is a great story, It shows the true nature of our public school system nation wide and the indoctrination that is going on with our youth, Just like being forced to watch Al Gores global warming bs movie, C'mon people aren't you glad florida "Stole" the election in 2000, Think where we would be right now if that elitist clown got in office we would be worse off than we are now and still be forced to buy toilets that you HAVE to flush twice to save water! LOL!

Aurora fifth-grader suspended for home made t-shirt reading
"Obama is a terrorist's best friend." 9/22/08

In my opinion, this is not appropriate in school.

It doesn't matter which candidate the shirt was about. Hate is not good.
That type of verbiage does not belong in an elementary school.
All it can do is foster discontent, arguments, fights and such.
Children are supposed to go to school to learn reading, writing,
and arithmetic, not to argue politics, and learn hatred.

LOL hway! White flags will replace the American Flag if Obama is elected!

It is a wonder how any Republican can win with schools teaching this rhetoric. And the media with thier tongue up the Democratic party backside.

Fortunately, people can still think for themselves, and say NO! THIS IS WRONG!

We are not all sheep, that can be led around by morons. We do have a mind of our own.

It's no wonder there is so much violence today.
My how things change. Children should be learning
the skills they will need in this highly technical
world to make a good living for them selves and
their families. They need to be able to succeed
in a culture where not everyone has identical
opinions. Fostering prejudice in children does them
a great injustice because it greatly limits their
potential to excel and find enjoyment in life.

It sets them up to become a person who's only joy
is to see people who fail at a task, because it
makes them feel better about failures they have,
and with that attitude, they will have many.

Why do parents do such hateful things to their children?
It seems that ignorance is passed down like a
flaming torch that consumes its carrier.

This has nothing to do with prejudice. This has to do with continuing the culture of a family and that family's values. We conservatives do enjoy life. We probably have different interests then you, but we do enjoy our lives none-the-less. It is such liberal dribble to say that for parents to teach their children to be conservative is to teach hatred. That child and his parents have obviously done their homework on Obama. That is not the liberal catch-all "hatred", that's just being informed.

Please forgive him. He has not a mind of his own.
