When we post something that is against the grain of the person posting a blog, they simply delete it without sharing the view of others. Understanding Obama: The Making of a Fuehrer

 I must confess, I was not impressed by Senator Barack Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident, a wholesome presidential package. I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. Obama’s speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history. Never a politician in this land had such a quasi “religious” impact on so many people. The fact that Obama is a total incognito with zero accomplishment makes this inexplicable infatuation alarming. Obama is not an ordinary man. He is not a genius. In fact, he is quite ignorant on most important subjects. Barack Obama is a narcissist. Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of “Malignant Self Love,” also believes, “Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist.”

 

 Vaknin is a world authority on narcissism. He understands it and describes the inner mind of a narcissist like no other person. When he talks about narcissism everyone listens. Vaknin says that Obama’s language, posture and demeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, nearest and dearest suggest that the Senator is either a narcissist or he may have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).

 

 Narcissists project a grandiose but false image of themselves. Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of People’s Temple, the man who led over 900 of his followers to cheerfully commit mass suicide and even murder their own children was also a narcissist. Charles Manson, Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Joseph Stalin, Saddam, Mao Zedong, Kim Jong IL, and Adolph Hitler are a few examples of narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous influence over their fanciers and followers. They created a personality cult around themselves, and with their blazing speeches elevated their admirer’s souls, filled their hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in their minds a new zest for life. Those men gave their followers hope! They promised them the moon, but alas, they invariably brought them to their doom. When you are a victim of a cult of personality, you don’t know it until it is too late.

 

 One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse. “Obama’s early life was decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally bruising dislocations,” says Vaknin. “Mixed-race marriages were even less common then. His parents went through a divorce when he was an infant (two years old). Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. His mother re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia, a foreign land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a stepfather. He was raised as an only child, full of himself and no others. He never had to share the spotlight with any siblings. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal (white) grandparents. He saw his mother only intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished from his life in 1979. She died of cancer in 1995.”

 

 One must never underestimate the manipulative genius of pathological narcissists.  They project such an imposing personality that it overwhelms those around them. Charmed by the charisma of the narcissist, people become like clay in his hands. They cheerfully do his bidding and delight to be at his service. The narcissist shapes the world around him and reduces others in his own inverted image. He creates a cult of personality; his admirers become his co-dependents.

 

 Narcissists have no interest in things that do not help them to reach their personal objectives. They are focused on one thing alone, and that is power. All other issues are meaningless to them and they do not want to waste their precious time on trivialities. Anything that does not help them is beneath them and does not deserve their attention. If an issue raised in the Senate does not help Obama in one way or another, he has no interest in it. The  “Present” vote is a safe vote; he used the “Present” all the time as a member of the Illinois legislature. No one can criticize him if things go wrong. Why should he implicate himself in issues that may become controversial when they don’t help him personally? Those issues are unworthy by their very nature because they are not about him.

 

 Obama’s election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review led to a contract and an advance to write a book about race relations. The University of Chicago Law School provided him with a fellowship and an office to work on his book. The book took him a lot longer than expected and at the end it devolved into…, guess what? His own autobiography! Instead of writing a scholarly paper focusing on race relations, for which he had been paid, Obama could not resist writing about his most sublime self. He entitled the book “Dreams from My Father.”

 

 Not surprisingly, Adolph Hitler also wrote his own autobiography when he was still nobody. So did Stalin. For a narcissist no subject is as important as his own self. Why would he waste his precious time and genius writing about insignificant things when he can write about such an august being as himself? Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless. As the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama’s lack of interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per month. A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in Hawaii, and who has raised nearly a half billion dollars for his campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in the plight of his own brother. Why? His brother cannot be used for his ascent to power. Just recently an elderly aunt has been found living in poverty in the slums of Boston. A narcissist cares for no one but himself.

 

 This election is like no other election in the history of America. The issues are insignificant compared to what is at stake. What can be more dangerous than having a man bereft of a conscience, a serial liar, and one who cannot distinguish his fantasies from reality as the leader of the free world?

 

 I hate to sound alarmist, but one must be a fool if one is not alarmed. Many politicians are narcissists. They pose no threat to others. They are simply self-serving and selfish. [Witness Al Gore’s Income Tax; it reveals that he gave away NO MONEY to charities, not even to a church!] Obama evinces symptoms of pathological narcissism, which is different from the run-of-the-mill narcissism of a Richard Nixon or Bill Clinton, for example. To him reality and fantasy are intertwined. This is a mental health issue, not just a character flaw. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look normal and even intelligent. It is this disguise that makes them treacherous. [Look up the word ‘treachery.’]

 

 Today the Democrats have placed all their hopes in Obama. But this man could put an end to their party [and to this great nation]. The great majority of blacks have also decided to vote for Obama. Only a fool does not know that their support for him is racially driven.

 

 Let us call a spade a spade [No pun intended]. This is racism, pure and simple. The truth is that, while everyone carries a misconceived collective guilt towards blacks for wrongs done centuries ago by a bygone people to a bygone people, the blacks carry a collective rancor, enmity or vendetta towards non-blacks, and to this day want to “stand up” to the white man. They seem to be stuck in 19th century [encouraged by race baiters like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and others].

 

 The downside of this is, that if Obama turns out to be the disaster I predict, he will cause widespread resentment among the whites. The blacks are unlikely to give up their support of their man. Cultic mentality is pernicious and unrelenting. They will dig their heads deeper in the sand and blame Obama’s detractors of racism. This will cause a backlash among the whites. The white supremacists will take advantage of the discontent and they will receive widespread support. I predict that in less than four years, racial tensions will increase to levels not seen since the turbulent 1960s. Obama will set the clock back decades. America is the bastion of freedom. The peace of the world depends on the strength of America, and its weakness translates into the triumph of terrorism and victory of rogue nations. It is no wonder that Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, the Maoist Castroists, the Hezbollah, the Hamas, the lawyers of the Guantanamo terrorists, and virtually all sworn enemies of America are so thrilled by the prospect of “their man” in the White House. America is on the verge of destruction. There is no insanity greater than electing a pathological narcissist as president.

Here is an essay I wrote - under a pseudonym - on a conservative website: feel free to pass it on.  It may seem depressing at first, but there is some hope at the end!
"The Age of Ausonius Beckons America
"Like many, I hoped McCain would win, but intellectually knew he would lose. We were asking America to do one recently uncharacteristic thing in this election: choose age, experience, self-sacrifice, and competence over perpetual adolescence, indulgence, inexperience, and the appearance of energy.
We were asking Baby Boomers - let me emphasize BABY here - and their younger minions to hand power backward to an older generation, and specifically to a member of that generation who represented individualism and self-sacrifice, two things not found - as a general statement - among those under 60.
And so America has chosen to become France West: choosing spoon-feeding and the envy of the nursery school over feeding yourself and being satisfied with what you earn on your own, rather than worrying about what somebody else happens to have.
No doubt you are wondering about the title here: The Age Of Ausonius.
Ausonius lived throughout most of the 300's A.D. and can be considered a kind of Renaissance man 1200 years before the Renaissance: he founded schools, was a renowned intellectual, wrote some famous poetry, was a general and succesfully defeated a Germanic invasion, became involved in Imperial politics, and was also the private tutor for the heir to the Roman Empire, Gratian.
The Age of Ausonius was an age of decay, when the Roman Empire failed to find solutions to its problems outside of the purest expediency (bribery of enemies, raising taxes to confiscatory levels, allowing Germanic tribes into the empire as "immigrants" when they were actually invaders).
Ausonius lived to see his student Gratian assassinated, and lived to see the empire eat itself, with the eastern co-emperor willing to bribe Germanic barbarians and treat them as erstwhile "allies" to stop hassling the east and attack the west.
Ausonius died in 395A.D., and did not live to see the Romans negotiate with and bribe Alaric and the Goths several times to avoid a sack of the city: eventually the bribery simply encouraged the Goths to return again, and in 410 A.D. Alaric and the Goths entered Rome and sacked it.
Does any of this sound familiar? Ironic "immigration," bribing enemies with "foreign aid," pretending that your enemies are "allies" and hoping that they will just go away if you negotiate and bribe them enough?
After Gratian died, Ausonius left Rome and stayed on his estates in France, writing nature poetry. Nothing in his poems betrays the chaos and decay around him! Was his poetry an escape? Or did he simply not see, or not want to admit, what was happening around him?

We do not know.
William F. Buckley about 40 years ago asked in an essay: if you lived in a declining age, would you be able to know it? Or would you - perhaps - accept everything around you as normal, and not see it as part of a long-term trend downward?
Future historians might trace the decline of America to the rise of the self-indulgent "bread and circuses" generations born after World War II, the generations who refused to sacrifice for a decisive win in Vietnam, who demanded ever more "freedom" from morals while shackling themselves to drugs and immorality, the generations who refused to continue the epic of space exploration (the first astronauts were part of the WW II generation) in favor of an easier, cozy "save the planet" and "help the poor" mentality.
The Reagan/Bush I years - the last gasp of the WWII generation - could not stop the coming wave.
Semiotics is a branch of social studies which looks at the "signals" a society sends out and then tries to determine what these signals might mean.
I look at the failure of our society to stand united behind the effort in Iraq for even 18 months!
I look at Ground Zero in NYC - still empty after 7 years!!! - and contrast that with the construction of the Empire State Building in that same city - done in 13 months - DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION!!!
I look at our failure to build a space station on our own, to have a moon base, to have a manned Mars expedition, nearly 40 years after the WWII generation took us to the moon.
And now I look at the monstrosity of a President Obama, a modern day cultural Alaric, a barbarian who wants to control our modern Rome in order to sack it, elected by a self-centered society of perpetual teenagers, and I remember William F. Buckley's rhetorical question:
"If you lived in a declining age, would you be able to know it?"
That Obama was even nominated and taken seriously - despite his many defects and latent hatred of the country he wants to lead - puts him at the gates of Rome, so to speak, like Alaric around 408 A.D.  Two years later Alaric and his Germanic tribe basically walked into Rome unopposed to loot and pillage for 3 days.
The unlikely election of McCain would not have stopped the coming wave: the solipsistic nature of too many Americans, and their ignorance, meant that an Alaric of some sort would break through the gates.
We have a choice: do we retire to our estates and try to escape the nonsense around us, like Ausonius?
Or do we live as well as possible, as morally as possible, as creatively as possible, opposing - with all our hearts, all our minds, and all our souls - every speck of Leftist nonsense assaulting us, even though we know that such a war can be wearing and depressing?
I think the answer is obvious! Because only by doing so can our lives become the basis for the next rise of our society, even though it might take over 1000 years, as was the case with the few good Romans of The Age of Ausonius!"
 

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a dog in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
And saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give it to the others

He snatched up my money

Jumped back on his bandwagon

He then rallied his henchmen

I could tell they were out

He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause

On this one final note-
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!

I have already painted up a sign which I will be promantly placing in my front yard. Just in case B. Hussein Obama should happen to buy this election and with all the dead voters and ficticious charictures, I want the world to know that I voted for McCain. The sign reads

"Don't blame me, I didn't vote him in"

I think that will get the message across. BTW one of my neighbors now has a large sign in his yard that states   "My pastor says God Bless America".

p.s. I will be attending the Sarah Palin appearance in Ocala Saturday. I will be attending as Jerry the retiree!!!

OK, if B. Hussein Obama is incouraging all the weak minded to vote early and even skip school or call in sick to get his vote, I would like to begin early impeachment process just in case he slips through the cracks (no pun intended) and gets elected. Why wait until it is too late to save the nation from his lies and surrendering to our enemies.

I have an idea I'd like to throw out there for your reply. How about now, before this election is decided, we all publicly state our support for the candidate of your choice. This can be done simply by placing a permenant sign on your house or in your yard. This way when the country goes down the tubes because some of you voted for B. Hussein Obama, the rest of us will know it was because of your vote. I have two signs in my yard and in my neighborhood the ratio of McCain vs. Obama is roughly 4 to 1. What that indicates to me is that 1/4 of my neighborhood will be shamed into moving into another neighborhood where they can conceal their ignorance. Just a thought!

We want Biden back on the campaign trail. Please, dems, put him back on live tv. I can't wait to hear what else he has to say.

Senator Obama Live on Sunday states, 'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides, Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.'We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails. Perhaps a state or period of mutual concord between our governments. What my comment was, Come on now, are you trying to tell me that B. Hussein Obama has NOTHING to hide??? How about Biden? I'm sure he has nothing to hide either. These are two of the most straight up people in the world. Must be, the msm would like you to beleive that. During his NAACP speech earlier this month, Sen. Obama repeated the term at least four times. "I've been working my entire adult life to help build an America where economic justice is being served," he said at the group's 99th annual convention in Cincinnati.

 

And as president, "we'll ensure that economic justice is served," he asserted. "That's what this election is about." Obama never spelled out the meaning of the term, but he didn't have to. His audience knew what he meant, judging from its thumping approval.

 

It's the rest of the public that remains in the dark, which is why we're launching this special educational series.

 

"Economic justice" simply means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It's a euphemism for socialism.

 

In the past, such rhetoric was just that — rhetoric. But Obama's positioning himself with alarming stealth to put that rhetoric into action on a scale not seen since the birth of the welfare state.

 

In his latest memoir he shares that he'd like to "recast" the welfare net that FDR and LBJ cast while rolling back what he derisively calls the "winner-take-all" market economy that Ronald Reagan reignited (with record gains in living standards for all).

 

Obama also talks about "restoring fairness to the economy," code for soaking the "rich" — a segment of society he fails to understand that includes mom-and-pop businesses filing individual tax returns.

 

It's clear from a close reading of his two books that he's a firm believer in class envy. He assumes the economy is a fixed pie, whereby the successful only get rich at the expense of the poor.

 

Following this discredited Marxist model, he believes government must step in and redistribute pieces of the pie. That requires massive transfers of wealth through government taxing and spending, a return to the entitlement days of old.

 

Of course, Obama is too smart to try to smuggle such hoary collectivist garbage through the front door. He's disguising the wealth transfers as "investments" — "to make America more competitive," he says, or "that give us a fighting chance," whatever that means.

 

Among his proposed "investments":

 

• "Universal," "guaranteed" health care.

 

• "Free" college tuition.

 

• "Universal national service" (a la Havana).

 

• "Universal 401(k)s" (in which the government would match contributions made by "low- and moderate-income families").

 

• "Free" job training (even for criminals).

 

• "Wage insurance" (to supplement dislocated union workers' old income levels).

 

• "Free" child care and "universal" preschool.

 

• More subsidized public housing.

 

• A fatter earned income tax credit for "working poor."

 

• And even a Global Poverty Act that amounts to a Marshall Plan for the Third World, first and foremost Africa.

 

His new New Deal also guarantees a "living wage," with a $10 minimum wage indexed to inflation; and "fair trade" and "fair labor practices," with breaks for "patriot employers" who cow-tow to unions, and sticks for "nonpatriot" companies that don't.

 

That's just for starters — first-term stuff.

 

Obama doesn't stop with socialized health care. He wants to socialize your entire human resources department — from payrolls to pensions. His social-microengineering even extends to mandating all employers provide seven paid sick days per year to salary and hourly workers alike.

 

You can see why Obama was ranked, hands-down, the most liberal member of the Senate by the National Journal. Some, including colleague and presidential challenger John McCain, think he's the most liberal member in Congress.

 

But could he really be "more left," as McCain recently remarked, than self-described socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (for whom Obama has openly campaigned, even making a special trip to Vermont to rally voters)?

 

Obama's voting record, going back to his days in the Illinois statehouse, says yes. His career path — and those who guided it — leads to the same unsettling conclusion.

 

The seeds of his far-left ideology were planted in his formative years as a teenager in Hawaii — and they were far more radical than any biography or profile in the media has portrayed.

 

A careful reading of Obama's first memoir, "Dreams From My Father," reveals that his childhood mentor up to age 18 — a man he cryptically refers to as "Frank" — was none other than the late communist Frank Marshall Davis, who fled Chicago after the FBI and Congress opened investigations into his "subversive," "un-American activities."

 

As Obama was preparing to head off to college, he sat at Davis' feet in his Waikiki bungalow for nightly bull sessions. Davis plied his impressionable guest with liberal doses of whiskey and advice, including: Never trust the white establishment.

 

"They'll train you so good," he said, "you'll start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that sh**."

 

After college, where he palled around with Marxist professors and took in socialist conferences "for inspiration," Obama followed in Davis' footsteps, becoming a "community organizer" in Chicago.

 

His boss there was Gerald Kellman, whose identity Obama also tries to hide in his book. Turns out Kellman's a disciple of the late Saul "The Red" Alinsky, a hard-boiled Chicago socialist who wrote the "Rules for Radicals" and agitated for social revolution in America.

 

The Chicago-based Woods Fund provided Kellman with his original $25,000 to hire Obama. In turn, Obama would later serve on the Woods board with terrorist Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground. Ayers was one of Obama's early political supporters.

 

After three years agitating with marginal success for more welfare programs in South Side Chicago, Obama decided he would need to study law to "bring about real change" — on a large scale.

 

While at Harvard Law School, he still found time to hone his organizing skills. For example, he spent eight days in Los Angeles taking a national training course taught by Alinsky's Industrial Areas Foundation. With his newly minted law degree, he returned to Chicago to reapply — as well as teach — Alinsky's "agitation" tactics.

 

(A video-streamed bio on Obama's Web site includes a photo of him teaching in a University of Chicago classroom. If you freeze the frame and look closely at the blackboard Obama is writing on, you can make out the words "Power Analysis" and "Relationships Built on Self Interest" — terms right out of Alinsky's rule book.)

 

Amid all this, Obama reunited with his late father's communist tribe in Kenya, the Luo, during trips to Africa.

 

As a Nairobi bureaucrat, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., a Harvard-educated economist, grew to challenge the ruling pro-Western government for not being socialist enough. In an eight-page scholarly paper published in 1965, he argued for eliminating private farming and nationalizing businesses "owned by Asians and Europeans."

 

His ideas for communist-style expropriation didn't stop there. He also proposed massive taxes on the rich to "redistribute our economic gains to the benefit of all."

 

"Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed," Obama Sr. wrote. "I do not see why the government cannot tax those who have more and syphon some of these revenues into savings which can be utilized in investment for future development."

 

Taxes and "investment" . . . the fruit truly does not fall far from the vine.

 

(Voters might also be interested to know that Obama, the supposed straight shooter, does not once mention his father's communist leanings in an entire book dedicated to his memory.)

 

In Kenya's recent civil unrest, Obama privately phoned the leader of the opposition Luo tribe, Raila Odinga, to voice his support. Odinga is so committed to communism he named his oldest son after Fidel Castro.

 

With his African identity sewn up, Obama returned to Chicago and fell under the spell of an Afrocentric pastor. It was a natural attraction. The Rev. Jeremiah Wright preaches a Marxist version of Christianity called "black liberation theology" and has supported the communists in Cuba, Nicaragua and elsewhere.

 

Obama joined Wright's militant church, pledging allegiance to a system of "black values" that demonizes white "middle classness" and other mainstream pursuits.

 

(Obama in his first book, published in 1995, calls such values "sensible." There's no mention of them in his new book.)

 

With the large church behind him, Obama decided to run for political office, where he could organize for "change" more effectively. "As an elected official," he said, "I could bring church and community leaders together easier than I could as a community organizer or lawyer."

 

He could also exercise real, top-down power, the kind that grass-roots activists lack. Alinsky would be proud.

 

Throughout his career, Obama has worked closely with a network of stone-cold socialists and full-blown communists striving for "economic justice."

 

He's been traveling in an orbit of collectivism that runs from Nairobi to Honolulu, and on through Chicago to Washington.

 

Yet a recent AP poll found that only 6% of Americans would describe Obama as "liberal," let alone socialist.

 

Public opinion polls usually reflect media opinion, and the media by and large have portrayed Obama as a moderate "outsider" (the No. 1 term survey respondents associate him with) who will bring a "breath of fresh air" to Washington.

 

The few who have drilled down on his radical roots have tended to downplay or pooh-pooh them. Even skeptics have failed to connect the dots for fear of being called the dreaded "r" word.

 

But too much is at stake in this election to continue mincing words.

 

Both a historic banking crisis and 1970s-style stagflation loom over the economy. Democrats, who already control Congress, now threaten to filibuster-proof the Senate in what could be a watershed election for them — at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue.

 

A perfect storm of statism is forming, and our economic freedoms are at serious risk.

 

Those who care less about looking politically correct than preserving the free-market individualism that's made this country great have to start calling things by their proper name to avert long-term disaster.

I am begining to become very concerned about the future of this wonderful country. I am watching the news on tv and I am continually seeing the MSM promoting their one sided views. I consider myself as being average or slightly above in intellegence and make a consorted effort before making a decision. I am concerned over the fact that the MSM is telling the truth but not the whole truth. They, and the democratic and liberal parties are twisting facts to make themselves shine and at the same time cast shadows on the republicans. There are many facts about Mr. Obama that have been "swept under the carpet" such as his Muslim upbringing and support. The fact that a genuine certificate of live birth has never been produce. Instead, he produced two forged documents and from different hospitals at that. He is now and has always been against our military. His wife has openly admitted that she dispises America. It is only because her husband was nominated for office that she declared that for the "first time in my adult life, I am proud to be an American". The man has severe ties to corruption and his top three advisors are the very ones that have brought this country to its knees. Yet these facts are hushed over and quietly sent into oblivion never to be mentioned or hinted to again by the MSM. Because of the promotion of their one sided views, the MSM has taken control of the weak minded and lazy voters in this country. Because of their leaning in one direction, those voters will blindly follow their lead and thereby begin the demise of our country. These voters are not permitted to see the entire picture and learn what the end result will turn out to be. Even the vice presidential debate was misleading through the use of a moderator who is a steadfast Obama supporter while in the midst of writing a book about her choice for the office of president. I truly beleive that something as important as the legality of a candidates citizenship is newsworthy, however this in just another "bump in the road" that the MSM has swept under the carpet.

If I am wrong or way off base here, I am sorry and will quietly place my tail between my legs and go away in shame. However, I've done my homework and listened intently to all sides before making my decision. I feel very confident that I am making the right decision not only for myself but for the entire country as a whole. As usual, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer but why emphasize the problem and bring it to the extreme?
