This is a pretty good sales pitch for the Republican party, don’t you

>>
>>  Buffalo , NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;
>>
>>  Cincinnati , OH (3rd)...since 1984;
>>
>>  Cleveland , OH (4th)...since 1989;
>>
>>  Miami , FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;
>>
>>  St. Louis , MO (6th)....since 1949;
>>
>>  El Paso , TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;
>>
>>  Milwaukee , WI (8th)...since 1908;
>>
>>  Philadelphia , PA (9th)...since 1952;
>>
>>  Newark , NJ (10th)...since 1907.

I don't mean to be cynical, oldvamp, but couldn't their be NUMEROUS other factors that contribute to the poverty level of these cities other than the Mayors' political affiliation?

Well, when you are on the dole, you don't want that gravy train to end.

That must be why Obama has so much appeal to them.

But Obama does not realize these people are mostly inelligible to vote, because they are convicted felons, or simply to lazy to get out there and vote.

He is barking up the wrong tree.

William, I agree with your point also, but simply noted, there is a pattern here. In another opinion the old cleshea comes to mind about misery loves company. It is real easy to bring people down to a lower level but much, much more difficult to rise above and make things better.

It Should ALSO be noted that Louisiana was under DEMOCTAT rule for Katrina and Republican Control for Gustav and LOOK at the CONTRAST there..

For THOSE who question the distinction between the two terms,,RULE is used to designate COMPLETE control at ALL levels and Rule is used to designate Partial Control,,as in the State but NOT the Parrish or City..

First n' foremost, I am neither weak minded(Or weakminded, as you put it... misspelled!)nor brainwashed. The dilemma is this: All-in-all, I'd say every republican in this country is brainwashed. (Note that Republican is spelled with a lowercase 'R.' Talk garbage all you want, but you can't phase me.
