McCain or Obama? I’m torn.  The last eight years have been tumultuous, to say the least, and I have seen enough fear mongering to last a lifetime.  Still, I want to hear McCain and Obama tonight.  Perhaps this won’t be as boring as the last two debates.  Perhaps McCain will actually talk about issues, perhaps Obama will say something awful and ruin my confidence in him.  Trust is the problem. I trust Obama and McCain both as men, but men are human.  I think they’re decent men, but I don’t really “trust” either of them.  Perhaps it’s the cynic in me, or maybe the genius!  LOL Okay… what I’m saying is that I feel they both missed their big chance to prove to us that they are Mavericks for Change!

Everywhere I looked, people were saying “no” to the bailout, all the while Obama and McCain were holding hands and skipping along with Bush toward the treasury to print up some fresh cash.  Enough dollars to go around the equator 2,924 times, when laid end to end.  This whole thing reeks of a conspiracy to gain political power.  But I digress.  (I always wanted to say that)

There seemed to be a conspiracy in the stock market.  The day the deal is dropped, stocks take a nosedive but somehow quickly come back up.  A lot of people bought low and sold high.  And, somewhere in this “matrix” electronic world of money, some folks sent America a message.  They told us what they would do if they didn’t get their way.  They scared people into doing their bidding.

Back to the campaign... Two parties were negotiating their way through a maze of subtleties, trying to pass a bill while winning the next election.  Watch out for little children.  They have been armed with wooden arrows.  The pigs are running the farm, the pork is flying.  Why did people say “no” to a bailout one day, then ball up like schoolyard sissies for Puerto Rican rum the next?  Why did the President, the Senate, and The House, all go against us?  Is there anyone on our side?

I have already decided to vote NO to those that voted YES on the bailout, but it seems the only viable candidates have both done just that.  So I am selling my soul and picking one of them.  I’m only human.  I will be watching the debate tonight with a critical eye on both candidates.  That’s all I have to say about that.

How important is this debate to you?

How important is this election to you?

Do you really trust either of these men or their VP picks?

How will their vote on the bailout affect your vote?

I have no trust in Obama or any other communist, lawyer, or combination of the two whatsoever. McCain wouldn't be my first choice either, but his VP pick helps. They differ on some issues and that should bring some balance. Norty if you're in the 8th district, Keller - Rep., House of Representatives, voted no on the bailout. There should be criminal investigations and in the event of any conspiracies, the RICO ACT should be used to recover assets from the guilty parties. There is some consensous that no action would cause a further slide in the market, problem is no one really knows till after the fact. Coulda, shoulda, would ? Martinez- Rep. won't be getting my vote again, but for a few different reasons. Keller- Rep. will and for a number of excellant reasons !

(How important is this debate to you?)
It was important to me and turned out to be a huge let down.

(How important is this election to you?)
It is very important and I am afraid it will be a huge let down

(Do you really trust either of these men or their VP picks?)

I don't trust Obama at all because it seems as though he is in this just for himself and Biden give me the creeps.

McCain seems like he cares about America but I wonder if he can do anything, plus he is a liberal republican (RINO), I think if Palin has a little bit more grooming I think she would do a lot better of a job as president and think she will do fine has VP.

(How will their vote on the bailout affect your vote?)

Mccain blew it! he had a chance to say NO! to all this special intrest BS and he didn't. Obama didn't surprise me at all, he loves earmarks/special interest.
It won't effect my vote at all, because I would never vote for Obama.

ditto on Zip's post....despite imperfections on both sides...I believe McCain is the only "American," running, so by default, you need to vote for him. C'mon Norty, you can see that one a mile away....don't let the charisma fool you.

The debates would be great if they were real debates, you know where the two principals actually talk directly to each other about issues and not just answer questions, that is NOT a debate! As sad as all you republicans must be that John is getting his butt kicked, try to think of it this way, at least Palin can NEVER be president, that lets me sleep a lot better at night.

I never ever put trust in a lawyer and that tells you which side I will lean toward. The democrats are all lawyers, the republicans are all businessman. I am talking about large percentages and not all, but I think you know where I am going with this fact. The republican candidates have bared their soles and were investigated to the hilt. The democratic candidates have been hiding behind the msm as best they could. However, there are very serious infractions on the democratic side which need to be explained. Is Obama a citizen of the United States? If so, prove it. Is Obama tied into a terrorist group? From what I see and read, he is. If not, prove it. Let us all know the true agenda behind some of his promisses. Cut taxes? How? There is soooo much smoke and mirrors on the democratic side of this election, the writing is very clear on the wall who you can and cannot trust.

ramkrm, you must've been watching Spongebob; McCain handed Obama his butt; the first hour Obama was on life support, and the second he died. It's amazing how brainwashed you liberals are that you cannot even see the faults present in this idiot obama when they're quite obvious...blinded by love I guess.....still going to love him when you're paying higher taxes to support "entitlements," for illegals and minorities....and felons?

Going to blame George Bush for that too?

oldvamp - they'll sweep any ties Obama has, to anything questionable, under the carpet as they always have. They refuse, to answer, and are backed by the liberal media and judges; claims about his citizenship, his association with Bill Ayers, his muslim faith admission, his ties to Raines and the FM&FM scandals....
none of it will stick..and they'll realize it too late...as they're all be disappointed when out goes the pledge of Allegience, the flag in public places, etc...

WHEN DO YOU THINK "OBAMA" WILL BE VETTED SO FAR NO ONE LOOKED INTO HIS PAST, AND WHEN HES ASKED QUESTION HE DOES THE SIDE STEP VERY WELL.
LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE ENDORSED HIM OR HAVE SAID THAT THEY WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HIM AS PRESIDENT.
WHERE DID THIS 3MILLION FROM OVER SEA COME FROM HIS PEOPLE WILL NOT TELL YOU.
IRAN, PRESIDENT LOVES HIM, HAMAS LOVES HIM, AND SO ON.
IF YOU LOVE YOUR CONSTITUTION, FREEDOM, GUNS, AND RELIGION, YOU NEED TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN / PALIN NOV.
LOOK INTO OBAMAS EYES WHEN TALKS HE IS EVIL AND HE WILL DESTORY THIS COUNTRY.

I think with one more debate to go and the official polls all putting Obama Ahead - that McCain has got a whole lot of work to do, and HE has to do it not Palin the lap dog.

I like John McCain-always have (check my posts from a couple years ago)
but last night he looked old, he looked tired, and for pete's sake stop keep calling everyone "My Friends" !!

I know Im going to get slammed as this is a right wing republican dominated board, but I'll take my chances :-)

All this who -ha about Obama is a muslim, Obama is not American, Obama this Obama that- give it up. we got 2 choices come Nov 4 and thats how it is !

I dont care about Bill Ayres or Rev Wright, like I dont care about the savings and loan scandel john McC was involved with or how he ditched his crippled wife for a trophy wife and all his shady dealings-truth is-all our politicians are crooked !

Enjoy the show....

PS-kick out(im only running for 2 terms) Ric Keller and (I love a free golfing trip) Tom Feeney while we are at it !

Zippy, I think Palin is groomed just fine! Sheesh! What are you a pro hairstylist or something?

Yeah Norty, Keller should leave the House, he'd make an excellant replacement for Senator Martinez. Senator Keller, I like it, come to think of it ex-Senator Mr. Martinez sounds better too ! Nelson still seems to get the senior vote, guess they're spending more time dozing than watching him these days.

Interesting reading straight from Obama's books...

From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

From Dreams of My Father:'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father:'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'

And FINALLY the Most Damning one of ALL of them!!!

From Audacity of Hope:'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

No one can force you to vote for either of them. But in the end, you need to choose who feel is best...I'm not going to give you reasons not to vote for McCain. In the end, it's your choice, don't let people outside your mind choose for you. In the end, you have to be happy about your vote, whether the guy you vote for wins or looses.

By the way...if you're not multiracial (I'm mostly black, however I'm 1/4 white, so people can always tell just by looking at me) you wouldn't understand Senator Obama's book. It's harder than you think, nobshere.

Nobby, that garbage is a lie intended to fool the foolish like yourself. This chain email not only changes Obama's words, but takes them out of context as well. You are very lazy to print things without checking them, and stupid to think that a statement like that has been allowed to go unnoticed by our leaders and press.

I should ask you to find the correct quote and explain it to us, but I doubt you have the nerve to do it, so I will do it for you.

According to: politifact.com Obama was referring, not to muslims but, to Middle Eastern Immigrants who might be facing racial retaliation for 911.

"(T)he stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

You should be ashamed of yourself, Nobster. The issue of who will become our next president is not to be taken lightly or by fools such as yourself.

I'm just kidding.

No I'm not.

Sort of.

I mean not really, cause I think you're a jackass for defaming a man's character with lies, but I understand. We all get lazy. But then I wonder if you really knew and posted it anyway, which would make you a co

I like sharing ideas and ideals in an open forum. I may not like what you have to say but you can still say it here. I try to be fair. I'll often admit that the positions I support have flaws. I detest bloggers who always base their opinions on their political party's rhetoric and never have an original thought. I am neither a Republican or a Democrat. I vote for whoever I think will do the best job of running things. I may be wrong but at least I think with my own brain. I think Rush Limbaugh is the biggest and most dishonest jerk that ever lived. John "New Orleans Deserved It" Hagee is somewhere right alongside him. If you like Limbaugh or Hagee then you're ignorant and you suck. Whatever you think, join the blog! Come and debate! Let the politicians know what the public really thinks on an open forum like mine where free speech cannot be denied!
