I know a lot of us are disappointed about the passing of the Bailout Bill, HR 1424, and want to make sure the people who voted for it are “rewarded” for their cave in to Big Money.  I also want to thank those few that went against the political flow and voted NO on this crime against America.

If you don't know who your House Representative is, go to www.house.gov and enter your zip code to find your Representative and get their email and phone number.  You can write or call them to tell them how you feel about their vote.

This is important, America.  Please ask your admin to post this on the front page for a few days so everyone can read and write down these names and vote for people who really do represent their constituents:

How do you feel about the bailout?

Will their votes on the Bailout affect your votes for congress?

The bailout is a stopgap. It may free up credit in the short term, but with the projections pushed by the Obama/Biden ticket to allow courts to simply do away with interest or principle owed, we will revisit this situation in the not too distant future. They passed this simply to get reelected. Wait until Americans wake up to the fact that an Obama presidency will cost them more, much more, in taxes across the board. Then, you will see the real discontent of an electorate that has been dazzled by the shine of a campaign that has bought their votes for nothing but beans.

Way to go Rep. Barton!!!!!!

I've met and spoke with him and he is a true conservative republican with some great ideas. It's a shame the House is overrun with liberal democrats. He'll get my vote for sure.

Can't say much for our Senators Cornyn and Hutchison as they sold us out and voted for this sheet sandwich. NO VOTE FOR YOU!!!

I've written a letter to my congressmen telling them how I feel about their vote. Two of the three voted no and received my sincere thanks. The other one was told he lost my vote for sure.

Thanks for the post North. I wasn't "disappointed", I was/am furious. Texas made a good point regarding a stop-gap, but it was only because of all the additional pork that made this bill fly through this time. When the leading economists in our country submitted recommendations that the bill be "dumped" and new options be reviewed, and this was ignored, well what do you think is in store for us?

My feelings are we just turned the page into true socialism.

I like sharing ideas and ideals in an open forum. I may not like what you have to say but you can still say it here. I try to be fair. I'll often admit that the positions I support have flaws. I detest bloggers who always base their opinions on their political party's rhetoric and never have an original thought. I am neither a Republican or a Democrat. I vote for whoever I think will do the best job of running things. I may be wrong but at least I think with my own brain. I think Rush Limbaugh is the biggest and most dishonest jerk that ever lived. John "New Orleans Deserved It" Hagee is somewhere right alongside him. If you like Limbaugh or Hagee then you're ignorant and you suck. Whatever you think, join the blog! Come and debate! Let the politicians know what the public really thinks on an open forum like mine where free speech cannot be denied!
