It's sad, folks...

Wall Street billionaires come crying to the government for a welfare check the size of Texas, we give it to them, a brilliant move I should say, and what do they do with it?

They GIVE IT AWAY!

Sure, the  could have used over $18,000,000,000 billion dollars to halt the financial crisis but, hey, "We lost billions and the economy is in serious trouble.  You deserve a bonus!"

Go Figure...

The good news is that President Obama is letting these frat-housers know that they made the wrong move.  Since all of our leaders seem to feel that we need massive corporate welfare, at least it's good to know that Barack is hounding these spoiled brats and letting the recipients know that frivolity is not okay right now.

“That is the height of irresponsibility,” Mr. Obama said. “It is shameful. And part of what we’re going to need is for the folks on Wall Street who are asking for help to show some restraint and show some discipline and show some sense of responsibility.”

 Thank you, Mr. President, for saying what we're all thinking!

I was watching Channel 9 Eyewitness News this morning.  I have one of those box thingys that lets you fast forward.  It's a good thing too, because, aside from weather and traffic the entire hour contained the following:

A wreck on I-4, the plane crash in New york, a couple of burglaries, and an arson.

That's it!  A whole hour of nothing, with commercials in between!

This is ridiculous!  That is the most pathetic news show ever!

Hustler magazine has teamed up with Girls Gone Wild, to approach Congress for the same kind of financial assistance recently approved for car manufacturers.

"Congress seems willing to help shore up our nation's most important businesses, (and) we feel we deserve the same consideration,...... everyone and their mother want to be bailed out from the banks to the big three,...."but as long as the government is handing out money, we want to be there to take it."

The porn industry has been hurt by the downturn like everyone else and they are going to ask for $5 billion in aide.

"With all this economic misery and people losing all that money, sex is the farthest thing from their mind," Hustler Magazine's Larry Flynt said in a statement. People were "too depressed to be sexually active", which was "very unhealthy as a nation. Americans can do without cars and such, but they cannot do without sex." He said the only way Congress could "rejuvenate" America's sexual appetite was "by supporting the adult industry and doing it quickly."

I was talking to a nice young lady today, a good kid, and she told me she was on a sports team at her college.  "It's a hispanic team, she said, "But they let me in 'cause I'm 1/2 hispanic."  I smiled and asked, "Do you play the white kids' teams?"  "No", said the young woman, "We just play against each other."  ( I'm still snickering 'cause I'm sure there ain't a "white" team. ;  ) 

While I got a kick out of her response, and she's a nice girl, I was saddened that she did not recognize her own racist behavior.  She felt lucky to be on the team even though membership is based on ethnicity.  So did the other kids, and at a school no less.

Before we accept or join in race based activities, clubs, groups, TV shows, etc, we should think about it first.  Think about the racism that we as Americans have fought so hard to end.  It may seem harmless to have a club or team that's race based but do we really want to be a part of the racist mindset?

Like most of you, I'm no lawyer.  To me the TOS is almost unreadable.  Worse, I don't understand copyright law, so I'm not sure what can and cannot be posted here, how to post it, whether I can at least post a snippet of an article, etc....

By the time the newsies post here, we have already read it elsewhere or seen it on TV. 

I used to enjoy grabbing new news headlines and posting them here so FOX bloggers could get the latest news fast.  I generally rewrote the articles in my own words, but I'm not sure even that is okay anymore.... 

I think it makes us a great site when we have fresh news from all over.  I would like to post hot news here for discussion, but the TOS Gods are tossing legal mumbo jumbo around that most of us can't understand clearly. 

I would like to know, in English, what we can and cannot publish here on the FOX Blog.  If you work with FOX, or you understand legalese, please give us a plain English explanation of the TOS rules on publishing and the basics of copyright law on the web, so we can write with confidence.

Can we copy articles from the Associated Press? 

Can we post snippets of an article without permission from the author or original publisher?

Can we rewrite articles, without permission, with or without reference to the original work?

What can we do here?

Now that you have read the article, let's discuss it!

This kind of outright fraud has damaged our country's economy and put thousands, or even millions of people out of work!  Businesses are dropping like flies and forclosure rates are astounding!  People are literally starving because of the government and private industry's failure to keep a reign on crooks!  There are tons of rules and no one is willing to enforce them!

Don't you think these people should go to jail for fraud?

Is it okay to commit fraud and then say, "I was just doing as I was told.", or, "I was just doing my job."?

Shouldn't the government and the regulatory agencies be audited for their complete and utter failure to do their jobs??????

I'm the first one to gripe about what's on the news.  I'm hard on the reporters because I want quality news with a real heart.  I usually have something negative to say about news coverage, but this time is different.     

Now that Caylee Anthony has been found, I would just like to say thank you to FOX 35 for not letting this story go until she was found.  Sometimes cases get lost in the multitude of other stories, but this time we got an answer and hopefully the guilty party will be brought to justice. 

You have restored public trust in the media, and in the authorities, to track down real criminals and solve real crimes.  Without your help, Caylee's fate may have gone unknown or unnoticed for some time to come.  The public response to her story has been tremendous, thanks to your coverage of the situation.

Thank You, FOX 35, for taking an active and important role, in solving this case and bringing our community together and making it a better place to live in.

How did our universe begin? 

To answer that question we must ask what it means to "begin".  If we began with a "singularity" then where did the singularity come from?  If we came from a "god" then where did the god come from?  No matter how many times we go backwards in time the question will remain, "Where did that come from?"

The alternative is that we have always been here, that our universe has always existed in some form or another.  This answer seems the most likely, because we are, in fact, here.  Still, this answer defies logic, which tells us that all things come from other things.

Aside from from time there is the question of space.  If we are made of atoms and atoms are made of still smaller parts then how can there ever be a smallest part?  Are not all things made of other things? 

Think carefully before answering the biggest and hardest question in the universe:
