I never shopped any of them either. Mostly "trendy" stores with a specific client.

Isn't Hollywood Video owned by Blockbuster?

5 of those companies have had poor customer service problems in the past.
If you give poor service to the public, it can put you out of business.
GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME...............come on, sing, you know the jingle.

Nah...they will come out smelling like roses...lol. Most companies are going to use our current economic distress as an excuse to, as a company would state, "re-organize." They call it bankruptcy, but the majority of larger companies will "re-organize" and either open their doors under the pretense of new management and/or merge with other companies to get rid of their debt. So the name may stay the same or be given a new name, however the owners still remain the same. By doing this, they can eliminate all of the outstanding debt and property taxes that are owed as well, putting this debt right back in our laps to be responsible for. If this happens, we should at least be able to get a free couch, movie, and bed sheets before they close and reopen their doors...lol.

I wasn't thinking about a sale...but more like "here's some free stuff to the community for you guys paying our debts for us"...lol
I was going to suggest that furniture, movies, or other tangible items be given to pay taxes that are owed, but somehow I think we would still be on the loosing end of that as well...lol.

1) Hollywood Video - The days of the video store have been taken over by the mail order dvds and pay per view.

2) Levitz - Don't have one nearby, I am thinking this is a funiture store?

3) Sharper Image - Don't they sell cheap useless stuff on informercials?

4) Performance Team Freight - ???

5) Linens n Things - We don't have one here.

6) Circuit City _ Every time I go there I get bad service and wind up buying everything at Best Buy anyway. I won't miss them when they go!

7) Bed, Bath and Beyond - Everytime I go in there, the scented things send me into an Asthma attack! I love the store to be honest, but can't handle the scents! Won't really miss them either, but I will miss them more then I will Circuit City!

I had not heard about these. IMHO, Bed, Bath & Beyond sold nothing but a bunch of overpriced, Hecho en China BLEEP!

I liked Circuit City but only because they were less crowded than you-know-where. Their service was p**s-poor which, no doubt, contributed to their p**s-poor bottom line.

Can't say I will mis any of them except circuit City , I like going to the one on Alafaya trail so I can check the prices at Best Buy across the street and get the best deal without having to run all over...as far as customer service , sorry so many of you have had problems. I just go in and look for Linda (she is the tall brunet with smoky gray eyes who got divorced last September) or Tina (she is the short girl with kinky brown hair and deep sea green eyes , she is studying business but is also thinking about opening a graphic design business of her own ) , ....don't know why I would be getting better service than others LOL

..my point about service was not so much that I flirt my way into getting good service (still not sure when I am doing that) but that if you are friendly and give people a chance to talk you can often get better service anywhere...and Ladybug better keep an eye on your “investment gas” I lost 25 gallons to thieves , my own fault the 50 gallon hurricane supply I keep was sitting where I could not see it from the house so I was asking for trouble .

Concerned person who feels like expressing my opinion while I still can. I have been in Florida since 1973 when things were less hectic crime was not a problem. I enjoy writing to the editor, emailing to higher ups when things seem out of control like the current crime wave. I believe in free speech and it seems people are letting that slip away as they are told what to say about certain seasonal times. I think our media is our biggest threat using their liberal viewpoints and if wrong they are not responsible for errors I cant understand the Supreme's courts power we do not elect this group but we are at their mercy if you can call it that on issues that have an effect how we behave. People in power we dont electt that are backed by special interst groups or maybe some appointments are not acceptable to certain parties and therefore some well qualified individuals never get the appoiintment. The supreme court opens their sessions with a prayer and the ten commandments are on their very building. When will the media think before addressing dangerous things that are picked up by the media and sort of become a fad for copycats like the Campus massacares occurring senselessly.
