Another theme attraction pulling out

Well this thing about the Dixie Stampede shows how these money makers can just all of a sudden pull out leaving people without  jobs or knowledge of the event.

I remember when Circus World closed all of a sufden the employees got to work to find the gates locked without any forewarning..

The article on this site indicated the offer was too good to turn down regardless of how many would be affected right after the Holidays too.

My son works In Tennessee and mentioned that the one in Pigeon Forge is closed for renovation maybe something here is in the making.

Probably some rich foriegn in vestor  wants the land for their plans which so far are not being made public as to who is the purchaser and what is planned for the 13 acres of land.

The mention of a rebuilding was lightly indicated but not in Orlando which I think isnt much for this country atracation although Dolly Parton said it was her guarantee the attrraction would satisfy visitors."I guarantee" was her words.

i wonder what the employees are going to do now having not been told about this.

The greed in this country has so many suffering because of money as this offer indicates too good to turn down.

Its true Money talks ___   walks!!

I think if all those employees would ban together and have a class action suit...they may just get some results and some benefits and money rightly theirs. That's the problem people are not educated enough to do these things...I would think Florida has to have statutes and laws regarding such actions from employers...but people wont go out of the way to find out or do anything because they are just to darn lazy or they just not educated to know they have been wrong!!! if your blog is true and Dolly used those phrases...there you go ...you have a basis to recoup money loss by filing a major worker's compensation....

I heard that the employees all got 2 weeks severance pay after I posted this blog.
I work at the mouse so we hear things there from other parks occasionaly.
Disney has Unions ;dollywood and Dixie Stampede didn't as are Seaworld and Universal.
Also my son works around pigeon forge tenn and said that dixie stampede there was down for rehab maybe somehting else is in the works here.

Concerned person who feels like expressing my opinion while I still can. I have been in Florida since 1973 when things were less hectic crime was not a problem. I enjoy writing to the editor,emailing to higher ups when things seem out of control like the current crime wave. I believe in free speech and it seems people are letting that slip away as they are told what to say at certain seasonal times. I think our media is our biggest threat using their liberal viewpoints and if wrong they are not responsible for errors I cant understand the Supreme's courts power we do not elect this group but we are at their mercy if you can call it that on issues that have an effect how we behave. People in power we dont electt that are backed by special interst groups or maybe some appointments are not acceptable to certain parties and therefore some well qualified individuals never get the appoiintment. The supreme court opens their sessions with a prayer and the ten commandments are on their very building. When will the media think before addressing dangerous things that are picked up by the media and sort of become a fad for copycats like the Campus massacares occurring senselessly. I have raised 5 sons and one daughetr 4 of my sons were in the military submariners. Enjoy this site lots of controversy and also informative!!
