APROPO - Thankfulness

Minutes after wishing everyone a Happy 4th and to be thankful my father called to tell me their house caught on fire.  Everyone is safe, including the kitty.  Just goes to show us that we never know what may happen in this life and to be grateful and thankful.  I do think they will skip the frieworks tonight though, they've seen enough for one day! 

Happy 4th, let's celebrate not only our independence but also the ability to depend on those that gaurd our safety in all avenues of our lives!

OMG, Michelle, that is terrible news. I wish them well and hope they can get back on track soon.

Thank you Randyloo! The main thing is that they are okay. My brother pulled my mother out through the bedroom window. The house can be repaired, most of the damage is from smoke and water.

I hope you have a great weekend and were able to enjoy the fireworks with family and friends!

So why am I finding out about this here? Are they able to live there? I bet your Mom is hurting today. All is well here, back to editing.

You mean the you have't heard about it on the coconut telegraph? They are fine, the house will need quite a bit of work.

Wow Michelle, I am happy your family is fine, and that the kitty survived, and very sorry about all the damage.
