Why are terminally ill patients refused medical treatment by experimental drugs?  The FDA did not protect us from contaminated products from China but will not allow most drugs in the experimental stage to be tested on people that have a terminal illness.  When did the FDA become so powerful that they can truly decide who lives and dies but also allows by it's own power to expose us to harmful carcinogins?

Good post, Michelle! And how about all of those medications that ARE approved by the FDA only to be found after-the-fact to cause some sort of horrible side effect?

In my opinion, it is the same mentality that allowed Dr. Jack Kevorkian to spend, what was it, eight years in prison.

If a person is diagnosed as terminal, he or she should be allowed to take ANY medication that he or she chooses.

FF I couldn't agree with you more. I wish that Dr. Jack Kevorkian could be there if I am ever suffering. But we are not allowed to make such decisions with our lives. Scary!

Really makes me scratch my head.... The idiots poison us, kill us with side effects, then have the nerve to tell us we can't try something NEW, cause it may kill us....

I have to ask, who is the real mass murderer here????? Do I hear FDA!!

FDA - Stands for - **FATAL - DUMB - A_ _ E _**

p.s. the pastor can use the word A$$e$ in this type of situation..

For those who disagree, don't worry, I have already repented! lol :+)

No money in it. (If it is experimental, the insurance won't cover it and the average bear cannot afford it on his or herown.)

Too much liability. (If something goes wrong, waivers or not, we are a sue-happy country;potentially even MROE money out their door.)

I can tell you I am on a prescription that is no longer available via common market; it USED to be. Now it is available only through a compound pharmacy. It AIN'T covered by insurance. But it works, so I keep paying...

Having recently accepted the nomination of a fellow blogger to run for President I felt it was appropriate to update my profile. I have lived in Florida for a long time, but have lived in 13 States in total. I feel that having lived in a quarter of the states I am qualifed to be President. I do have a political affilialtion, however that is not important, I will do what is best. If you contribute to my campaign I promise to make promises that you want to hear!!!! If you don't vote for me, don't vote for anyone, no sense in wasting your time!
