was that a plan the execs were hatching up on their $400,000 spa vacation?? "hey, they gave us this much...let's see if we can get a little more?"

i don't talk about this much on the air, because it is very personal for one, and secondly...i am sure no one wants a big "downer" when trying to watch a morning newscast.

this week will forever be one of the hardest weeks of the year that i go through, year after year, after year.

today is the 5th anniversary of my mother's untimely passing at the very young age of 49 years old. it will forever fall right around mother's day weekend so it is typical that i go a little "crazy" for a few days this week each year ( well more so than usual for those who know me personally )

however there are so many thing i appreciate in my time with my mother who was also my best friend and it made me think of many memories with her that make me feel really good about having her as my mom.

she told me many times when we were having heart to heart talk's back in oklahoma that quote "son, you are my greatest accomplishment".

man, if there is anything you could ever tell your child to sum up how you feel about them, that is it. what i loved about it was that everytime she said it, you could tell she really meant it and believed it. it is one of the greatest memories i have of my mother.

so it got me thinking about asking you about some of your favorite memories of your mother and to blog it down to get us ready for the upcoming weekend.

so blog away, and maybe we can read some of them on the air later this week on the morning show.

take care, and to all of you mother's out there....god bless you all for being one of the most important people we will ever know !!

last night i was filling up my truck and while i have long complained about the gas prices....i have still paid and NOT adjusted my driving at all to stay off the road a little more and not use as much gas.......until last night.

i finally saw an amount that made me stop and first say a few words to the gas pump...but  now i have finally got a number in my head that i REFUSE to pay and i will now for the first time make adjustments in how much i drive....i won't pay that amount...period.....especially when oil companies continue to report record breaking profits!

so what amount would take for you to make adjustments in how much you drive and how much gas you use?
