Is anyone else outraged over the cop who pulled-over the step-son of an internal affairs employee the other day?

Should cops & admin who abuse their “Authorit-Eye” receive punishment that strongly discourages this behavior? . . . or love slaps that let them all know they can do whatever they want?  TASE people for getting out of their cars too slowly (She was RESISTING!!!), kneel on people’s throats nearly crushing their esophagus until they pass out (or die) (They were RESISTING being suffocated!!!), kicking their doors for no apparent reason, release the HOUNDS (sheps) just for fun even though the guy had his arms up in the air and was turning around slowly as instructed, dump a paralyzed guy out of his wheelchair for refusing to stand-up (IDIOTS!), pushing a girl down the stairs for not moving fast enough, roughing-up a girl who was just sitting in a chair not knowing what exactly they wanted her to do as they SCREAMED commands at her, etc., etc., etc. . . . and stand back and laugh as they all gasp for air, writhe in pain, shake like a squashed insect.  When are we going to say, “Enough’s Enough Idiots!”?!

I’m sure there are some great cops out there . . . somewhere.  I haven’t met one yet although I’ve only met a handful and in the field never for anything more than a speeding ticket.  Even though I was only going 7MPH over which happened because the zone changed and I didn’t slow down fast enough, they were still insolent cocky a-holes reveling in their Authorit-Eye!  (Sure, I was speeding, I’m human, wasn’t scanning the roadsides in the dark foggy night at the right moment.  No problem, I admit it & pay when I’m wrong and if I say anything, it’s in the most polite tone possible.).  Do they HAVE to be rude, sarcastic jerks in response, daring you to say another word?  They’re perfect and if we get caught in their speed traps, we’re Filth!)  I have 2 cops in my family and another who’s a good friend, and I can tell you that they too are meat-heads on ego-trips (I don’t pull punches even for family when deserved).  They LOVE telling their violent cop stories and you should see their eyes light-up when they get to the part that they unleashed hell on some guy who didn’t follow the EXACT sequence quickly enough of, “Hands up, no, Hands locked behind head, Turn around, OTHER WAY, OTHER WAY, Right Foot Blue, NO GREEN! GREEN!  TAAAAASE!  TASE-TASE-TAAAAAAASE!!! . . . is he DEAD?  KICK him and find out!  Lets see if a dead guy can jump.  TAAAAAASE!!!”  Is it an exaggeration???  Forgot the cameras were rolling I guess – or aren’t afraid of the cameras.  My family/friend cops (and all their cop colleagues) can’t WAIT until the next time they have an “excuse” to use their TASERs, Batons (“hickory shampoos”), Dogs, Guns.  Can’t WAIT!  ABUSE their Authority? . . . they LAUGH about it!  One of the meat-head cops in my family curses at his mother like you wouldn’t believe and picked a fist-fight with the groom’s best-man at a family wedding (he’s on the “in-law” side I’m quick to point-out).  He LOVEs that story and laughs about it.  Not a redneck, city cop from & in a large progressive city.

Remember the scene in Die Hard II in which the terrorists compelled Bruce Willis’ character to walk through Harlem wearing a body-ad board with racial slurs written on it?  It gives me an idea for a more appropriate punishment for the cop who acted like an animal kicking, screaming, swearing as if he didn’t have the correct words in his vocabulary, yanking the cooperating kid on the ground head-first then kneeling on his throat until he passed out, yelling at him to “WAKE UP, WAKE UP”, then later deciding to behave professionally only after learning the kid’s Step-Father works for internal affairs.  How about a nice long walk around the dark streets of Orlando where sentiment for cops is the lowest with a body-ad quoting him and a BIG picture of him dragging the kid to the cement head-first out of the car BECAUSE HE SLOWLY MOVED FORWARD 4 FEET SO HE COULD PULL OVER AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE INTERSECTION – as anyone would do – he was stopped at a light!  THEN he gets to go to prison with a BIG badge on his striped-shirt.  I think that’ll work.

ENOUGH’S ENOUGH!  No more criminal cops!  Background-check them, TRAIN them, monitor them, PUNISH them for unethical/unprofessional/criminal behavior.  And hire Chiefs who would just-as-soon personally beat the @#$% out of any cop who acts like these than prosecute them.  Talking about who’s “ABOVE THE LAW”!

I'm so glad to see a few smart people out here that are not afraid to speak out..and the tell the facts & truth....on all...family or not.......

i also have many cops in my family , friends and they are people just like us all......they make mistakes....but most bad things are done because of a little badge and a gun/taser or what ever means of punishment they see fit at the time...And as the other guy ....these guys love to talk about all the things they do and....how they have the right do do most anything......man they so do not know the law......and if we as americans would stand up for our rights and not let these 20 year old cops push us around this might stop one day.....

I love to listen to them talk about people they arrest while getting ...wasted...on beer...whiskey and pain pills...one of them is a air bird/ pilot the others are all high ranking officers....please dont get me wrong they do put a lot of scum in jail and not all are like this but it only takes one to turn a 100....think...

And whats really good is to here them talk about taking people to jail knowing the state would not pick up the case...just because the person may have said something that the cop did not like!!!!!!the sad thing is the person pleds guilty because they use all types of interagation tactics....threating them with long prision time/////while knowing the judge would never give them that much time///////

or better than that... bye law ...if a crime happens and let say the person that did the crime or did not do the crime gets caught...and our good cops are telling this guy

It wouldn't matter to me if those cops had been my husband, boyfriend, son or best friend! What's wrong is wrong, and I would have let them know "what for," when they came a walkin' back through my door! BTW, my husband WAS a Deputy Sheriff for 30 years, and was in plenty of fights, came home covered with blood on more than one occasion,
and HE put more than one criminal in the hospital on their way to jail; however, he never, ever threw the first punch, and he never, ever yanked someone out of their vehicle, without provocation, the way those cops did! THAT was totally uncalled for! I had a Trooper do something similar to me once.
He "mistook" my Camaro, "SugarBB" tag and all for a stolen car, and forced me out at gunpoint, screaming and cussing the whole time. Luckily for me, a Deputy who was a supervisor was driving by, stopped to "back him up," recognized me, and it ended, right there. The Trooper couldn't apologize fast enough! Over zealous? Hell yeah, he was!

What's the difference between Cop's and Official's that abuse their authorities? NOTHING! There are more and more bad apples that seem to be popping up more and we are the ones that pay for their political gains and abuses! It's become more and more as a KISS BUTT world because of people like this that abuse authority! Where is the true justice, since the judicial system is also corrupted? Dam if we do...Dam if we don't!

This just goes along with my factual view that any cop who stands by and does nothing while the bad cops do their dirty work is just as guilty. Very few, very few in law enforcement go into the field for the benefit of the public. They go into the field because they are bullies, or they were bullied as child and this is their vengeance.

There is not enough psychological evaluation done in the field, and too many "THUGS" are given a badge.

I've also said this before, but it makes you wonder if everytime a cop gets killed, is it karma? What goes around comes around, and law enforcement does not have good name in our communities.

I have this discussion with my pastor who is also one of the chaplains with the Sheriff here, and he also agrees.

For the ones in LE that DO stand up to the crooked cops, they are ganged upon and either succumb to the dirt, or they end up leaving their job. I would call it a profession, but it has become such a power struggle, that I hesitate to use that word to describe most in law enforcement.

Like you, if I speed or commit any traffic violation, I fess up and pay the ticket. Thank goodness I haven't had that problem in many years.

We have one crooked FHP here, trooper Williams, who I saw repeatedly lie in court. The judge knew it. I was a witness for a friend I was riding with. As I left the courtroom, I looked the trooper in the eye and said, loud enough for the judge to here "Revelation 21:8 says that ALL LIARS will have their place in the Lake of Fire. " The ticket was dismissed.

They get a badge and a gun and the pea brain springs to life where they think they are a god of some type. I know someone who is in prison due to a Seminole County Deputy lieing on the witness stand.

In my opinion (and I believe that of any rational human), these actions by cops that we’ve all seen on video are CRIMES! Crimes that the cops involved all got away with. Our society puts them in charge to protect us, not to crush our esophagus for trying to pull over out of the intersection (He was trying to ESCAPE!!! . . . at ONE MPH with cars in front of him!!! Yeah, that’s why I almost murdered him! Punk had it coming!). Our society appoints them, our society can and should do something about these abuses.

Don’t give me this B.S. “excuse” that they can’t control themselves because they’re all pumped-up with adrenaline and in dangerous situations. In every one of these cases, these people were completely cooperating. Banging their heads down on the car when their hands are handcuffed! It’s shocking! And all on video. How is it that our society allows them to get away with it. YOU USE FORCE ONLY WHEN NECESSARY! It’s your JOB, not a boxing match. If you can’t control your anger due to “adrenaline”, then find another job – like boxing.

ISLANDCHEF, good points. If we as society continue to allow cops like these think they are Above the Law, the abuse will continue. Most people look the other way, until they’re on the receiving end. That kid who DID NOTHING WRONG – just tried to pull over. That could be ANY ONE OF US NEXT!

DEB, I’m sure your husband is a good cop. How do I know? Because you’d remove his DOOdads if he pushed a girl down cement stairs or roughed one up in a chair like these COWARDS did!

SIPEDO, I’m with you on the likely reasons

for this tendency and lust for violent behavior we’ve all seen many cops perform for the cameras. I think they should be given Psychiatric Evaluations conducted by independent Shrinks EVERY time they behave violently on the job – a PUBLIC job. And if it was unnecessary, GOODBYE! OUT THE DOOR! BENEFITS GONE! Again, if they cannot control themselves, why the hell are we handing them a gun, TASER, dogs, and a badge?! I, as a member of society, do not accept that.

Thanks for chiming-in guys. It’s an injustice that’s got to stop.

I don't think these comments are intelligent, in fact they are nothing short of arrogance. Sounds like someone isn't a law abiding citizen and is therefore looking at any opportunity to stab at a law enforcement officer and their agency. If you want to meet a good officer, get out of your house on any given night, drive through the hood, and watch as an officer gets shot at or beat up because he is trying to arrest a murderer, rapist, or drug dealer....Or is that you? Is that why you are so mad, because you are the 7mph over drug dealer that has been busted. Anyway, on the flip side, I dislike corruption and I believe that officers who are corrupt deserve a harsher penalty than all others. Those with positions of authority should be held to a higher standard and their betrayal is much more detrimental to society than anybody else. Additionally, you have to understand that ALL positions of authority, power, money have corruption problems. We have judges that are paid by lawyers, congress paid by lobbyists, mayors and presidents taking bribes.

When I was in Law Enforcement we set the example or we were out of there. Yes, cops have a hard job, but they choose it..They were not forced into it. Treat people with respect and you will get respect back even from the real hard A$$'s... To many think that Badge makes them above the LAW...

And the first Irrational human chimes in. Case in point: SETHW. For absolutely no reason, he imagines that I’m not actually outraged that cops throw people out of wheelchairs, down stairs, and kneel on people’s throats until they pass out or die (in at least 3 high profile cases we’ve all heard about), . . . no, in his dim irrational mind, he assumes that I’m actually just a drug dealer, and that’s why I’m outraged at cops in general. Yeah genius, I just used the examples of people being TASED for getting out of cars too slowly, or nearly suffocated for trying to pull over to avoid stopping in the middle of an intersection, or BEING THROWN OUT OF A WHEELCHAIR FOR NOT STANDING UP as excuses to complain about cops in general. Because, who would be upset at those things??? Brilliant SETHW!

Not intelligent, but arrogant? Yes, because those are mutually exclusive, right? You’re not even in the ballpark of making sense. And maybe by “arrogance”, you mean “outrage”. A little rusty using dem learnin books huh SETHW?

Hmmm, go to the “hood” on a given night and meet a cop who’s getting shot at, trying to catch a rapist, etc. and that makes him a Good Cop you say. No SETHW, that makes him a cop who’s doing the job he signed up to do; Good or Bad. Are you saying that the Bad Cops don’t ever do those things? That’s a pretty irrational statement, a pattern for you. See, if that same cop I see in the hood turns around and beats up a little girly who’s sitting in a chair trying to understand what he wants her to do as 3 cops SCREAM commands in her fa

face, or throws one down the stairs for walking too slowly, then he’s not a Good Cop, is he SETHW? THEN, HE’S A PUNK AND A COWARD. Those are the cops I’m talking about genius. Seeing a cop doing his job one dark dreary night doesn’t mean he’s a Good Cop. And I’m sure they DO get shot at. Doesn’t make them good cops and doesn’t justify nearly suffocating someone for doing nothing more than trying to pull over.

Speaking of lacking intelligence, you’ve just given us all a brilliant demonstration of it SETHW. Are you sure that it’s not YOU who is involved with DRUGS? That could explain your difficulty with rational thought.

and then theirs good trusting loyal people who wont act like that and abuse their authority who desprately need a job that has a family to support. and they wont even give him a shot cos he smoked pot 2 times in high school.all the money and time he wasted going to school and going through the academy. this state blows
