Universal crossed the line with its most recent billboards on the I-4 corridor. I believe in freedom of speech and freedom of expression, but there is also such a thing as moral decency. If people want to look at garbage, Universal can invite them to come over to its own private garbage dump. Don't scatter garbage down the I-4 corridor.
If you want hold Universal accountable for their visual pollution, here is the contact information that you need:

I'm concerned about alarmist reports regarding Oprah Winfrey's new brand of spirituality. I know, you can't believe everything that you hear, or everything that you read on a news blog! So what is going on with Oprah? Can anyone give me an accurate description of her current spiritual journey?

With all of the turmoil in our world, I've been reflecting on the topic of forgiveness. As a Christian, I want to listen attentively to the words of Jesus from the cross: "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."
I realize that forgiveness sets a person free by letting go of the right to be angry. That decision is not based on the emotions of the moment but on the principle that we should forgive others as we have also been forgiven. But I have a lingering question in my mind: Is it ever appropriate to refuse to forgive?

I'm convinced that we should demonstrate love and respect to others who hold perspectives that differ from our own.
On what basis, then, do we determine that certain actions are "intolerable behavior"? Are people upset with Senator Craig just because they perceive that he violated a law? Or do people describe his supposed actions as "intolerable behavior" because he violated their trust?

Why do some Christians blow up abortion clinics and some Moslems blow themselves up in crowded markets? I know that there are many wonderful Christians and many wonderful Moslems, but why is there still so much intolerance in the world?
