I dont care what it says on it, I just wont ever use a 1$ coin when I can use a light weight peice of paper instead.
What is wrong with our stupid governement? Didnt they learn the first 5 times that the 1$ coin wont work?

As long as it works, I don't care what it says, or doesn't say, for the most part. It's only money. I'm not going to get into a snit over it.

The problem with the last dollar coin (the gold one with Sacagawea on the front) was that it was TOO popular. Too many people were collecting them instead of actually using them. I rarely ever saw them. Some stores wouldn't even take them because they didn't believe it was real money!

I will start using the Dollar coin when politicians tell the truth.

I would say when pigs fly, but that will happen before a politician will ever even think about telling the truth.

Yes , render unto Caesar what is Caesar's AND render unto God what is his! In this “one nation under god” we have always printed this on our money, what change this ? What message are we to send and receive from this action....we have become the world greatest consumer and producer with God on our curacy I say stay the coarse. ...changing anything that “works” is always a bad idea!

Glad we agree dida , in some ways even with out the “Christianity” we should honor tradition (witch is based on a Christian foundation) Because of all the successes that this country has enjoyed and for all the true GOOD this country (and it fuddy duddy old Christian foundation) has done in and for the World ! God I love this country ! I really do!

Yea that sounds like our government , SSI crisis , war on two fronts , Illegal immigrants , security issues...etc so what do they do , make up a new “coin” that no one will use !
Hey if the print is on the side can you roll it in an ink pad and then roll it on a piece of paper to print ? Or is it like playing an LP back wards ...you get a satanic chant ?

I love them, and here is why. I don't like placing cash down on the counter only to be told thank you for your business but I don't trust you. (Thats what I think when they pull out the magic stick to insure your money is real),,, I'll ask to use theirs to make the bills they pass back you know thank you but I don't trust you. And I always use race track gas, it use to be you could pump your gas, move your car, then go in and pay. NOW it's thank you for your business, but you have to pay before you pump. Again they don't trust me. My way of protesting their sudden distrust I pay for my gas now with singles and coin dollar bills. No sweat off my back, I'm not the one counting them at the end of the day. besides they need something to place in that empty slot besides paperclips.

The entire point of a dollar coin is the extra long usable life.

The dollar bill lasts aprox 1 year. If we shifted to using the dollar coin
foe most transactions the US Mint would save Literrally Millions of dollars a year.

A secondary benefit goes to vending machine companies a dollar coin machine is far easier to build and service then the present bill machine.Te savings there are also substantial.

Getting away from the bill also means certain jobs are no longer needed either and value last longer....It's also washable, wink wink! (Sorry, just had to through that in)
