I know this blog is dedicated to all things cute, but I'd just like to stray for one post and talk about music. I was watching Garden State, a cute albeit overhyped movie, and I thought about how much the soundtrack fits so perfectly to each scene. It's the same with a bunch of other movies, as well. Have you ever just sat down and thought about what songs would go to the soundtrack to your life... like, if your life was a movie, which songs would for sure go on the album, no questions asked? I'll post my list here, but I want to hear from y'all! What would go on youuuur soundtrack?
I put links to the bands' Myspaces pages, but most of the songs are also on iTunes, so that'd probably be the better route to go if you like what's on Myspace.

Alright, now comment with yours! :) Stay cute!

Well, I've been on the go recently, so it's good to finally be home relaxin'. I just made some Organic Apple Spice tea from The Path of Tea, Texas' only all organic tea shop, on W. Alabama right off of Kirby. Although I don't live in Houston, I visited this treasure recently and I can't wait to go and buy more tea. The atmosphere inside is so peaceful! Earlier today I travelled to Brenham, north-east of Houston, and ate at a new stop called Der Weiner Haus. It's a walk up restaurant with outdoor seating and a very happy-go-lucky staff. It was a delight. I had a beef hotdog on a homemade bun and their special hot German potato salad... both were excellent, I will definitely be going back! Anyway, now for what y'all are really here for: CUTE!
As I was perusing some shops on my e-hit list I kept coming across numbered carafes from Three Potato Four! I think they're perfect for flowers or morning juice or even loose change. They're $32 on the website, but I'm sure after hitting a thrift store or two and then buying the stick-on letters you could put something similar together for under $15!
In between gathering supplies for craft projects or running errands you're bound to get a little hungry, so stop into Sugarbaby's Cupcake Boutique, on S. Shepherd between Richmond and W. Alabama, and treat yourself to a tasty cupcake while you relax in their back room. They even have a sprinkle bar!
There's a fine line between too trendy and too cozy, and Thomas Paul rugs from Design Public add a subtle touch of color and class to any room without overdoing it. Although I can't afford one (college students for the win!), they come in a range of prices and sizes for various rooms and houses.
Want to surprise your kid? Look no further! Plush creations from My Paper Crane are cute, soft and made with love. They come shaped as leaves, donuts, burnt toast, bananas and even cartons of milk! They're a must have when it comes to cute.
Last but not least is the Bluebird of Happiness, made by Terra Studios in the Ozark Mountains (in Arkansas). I had the pleasure of touring the little plant on a family vacation a few years ago and found the atmosphere quite eclectic and cute. The original birds come in three sizes (all below $10 each) and are a pleasant addition to any desk, counter or china cabinet.
Alright, this post's super cute band is Tegan and Sara! Two sisters, these girls are relatable and meet at a perfect, calming point between catchy riffs and down home pretty lyrics. They're not too loud and every song has a sense of order and cleanliness. Check them out! That's all for today, stay cute!
