Dog attacks Old Lady

If these dogs were so fercosious, why did a 74yr old lady have them and wasn't her family concerned that she couldn't even keep them in the same room togethor?  THey need to check the dogs befor they put them down........  Those breeds are not known for such hostility.  SOmething is fishy.......
