Started out as only 3 voting prescincts, people receiving only one page, finding some votes already entered when they got their "sheets" as they checked in, then went to include a problem with USF not receiving enough ballots, then spread to absentee votes, then some early votes.  What part of "record turnout" did Buddy not understand a few months ago.  Blame the soft ware.  Odd that the only position left hanging (sorry about that) was the one between Buddy and Phyllis.

What is even harder to understand is why Buddy got so many votes after all that came out in the news about him.  I've known Phyllis for years, before either one of us worked for the county.  Hadn't seen her for many years and was happy to see that she was running.  My only fault to find was that she didn't campaign hard enough... but Buddy was messing up his campaign without help from anyone.

This country put men on the moon.

One would think we'd be able to get a streamlined voting system down pat. Where all the votes are counted and tallied accurately w/a fool-proof audit trail and that there are plenty of supplies on hand to handle every voter that decides to vote.

Especially when we 'lecture' other countries about their election systems.

There has got to be a better way. Unless it's by design?

Seems like the number of uncounted votes has risen. Now 2 people, Joyner and ?, have filed with Crist to investigate, and now it looks like the FEDS are going to be called in. Every election under Buddy has had problems. Okay, blame the computer program... but Buddy ordered it. And, it seems they are the same company, different name, that supplied the softeware that caused problems a few years ago. I do not recall problems like this when Pam was in charge. I don't remember employees complaining when Pam was in charge.

Crist needs to get involved. If Buddy wins... then he should be "fired" by Crist.

HURRAY!!!! BUDDY CONCEDED! PHYLLIS IS IN! He should have stepped out gracefully, before the news came out... so he can go back to cheating the government out of taxes.

During the Apollo program, my Dad SOLELY AUTHORED a program that computes the life-time of a satellite while working under the NASA co-op program for junior engineers. All they had back then was a GE-625 computer. On the GE-625, the entire program ran in 1/100th of a second. Xavier, you can look this all up and verify it for everyone, if you wish. Applying my Father's program to manned space flight, the U.S. Navy had to alter the placement of their recovery carrier to one of the four surrounding quadrants, instead of right in the center of the recovery zone as a result. Project Mercury flights, often being manually-controlled, tended to end up a bit off-course. Russia killed several good Cosmonauts through re-entry failures, most notably Komarov on Soyuz-I. The worst experience of my life was when I learned NASA was experimenting with a new atmospheric re-entry program the day before a space shuttle burned-up in the atmosphere, killing all seven astronauts.

I don't know why it wasn't in the CAIB report beyond a discounting mention or two. Probably they wouldn't have made it, anyway with an entire panel on the leading edge of the wing missing. I read the article about the new program in the newspaper just the day before- and never heard a word about it since- (beyond the CAIB report.)

"PEA BRAIN" That was a mean comment by mmustangg. Um, is he trying to chase us all off. I think times have changed a little-bit, it might be time to, oops, oh never mind- he's probably a plant. I get it, now. There will be no mention of this again.

I am an Environmental Specialist with Hills. Cty. Basically, I am a "dumpster diver". I also do a lot of educational graphics design about the proper disposal of household chemical & electronics, litter, etc. My hobbies are very diverse... golf and reading, with sci-fi, forensic mysteries, and history being my favorites. My other passion is photography, mostly nature. Ever since experiencing my first hurricane in Florida, Cleo in 1964 when I was 15, when the eye went over my house, I have been fascinated with weather. I have a 99% accuracy... including predicting Charley's turn away from Tampa the night before he hit down south.
