...This is a series of BBC films about the shift in the mindset of politicians that went from promising us our dreams, to promoting the idea that they can protect us from our worst nightmares.

...It follows the rise of two groups, the American neo-conservatives, and the Islamic extremists, and displays the ideologies driving each group and the course of events leading up to the present.

...It's important to see how they both play off each other and use publicity and public opinion in their strategies to attain and preserve their power.

...A must see for those interested in understanding the driving forces behind the main characters in the war on terrorism.

...A good add-on to the opening statement could be about how the shift in view has changed as well to a preventative form of law enforcement, which means no longer innocent until proven guilty, but vice versa.

Just more proof of what Ben Franklin said being true.

Those that willingly give up Liberty for a bit of temporary security deserve neither.

Now we are working on a full-blown Police State where legitimate questioning can land you in hot water.

Our Founding Fathers are rolling at what WeThePeople's abdication of responsibility has led to.

If the 'terrorists' goal is to change one's way of life through fear, ubl's goals were met. How disgusting for us.

I'm voting for Ron Paul today. The one candidate that is willing to take us back from the brink.

On a bright note, it was Dubya's last SOU speech last night. Perhaps when he retires, he'll learn how to say Nuclear correctly?

...I thought it was very interesting to see how the neo-cons and the Islamic extremists both let the feud between themselves play out to benefit both groups.

...They each used the other to gain support and power, and both with blood thirsty goals and practices. It's almost as if they needed to be enemies with each other in order for either of them to be successful.

chAng - please excuse me for responding here to another thread.

Regarding your reply to Hawkfreak on his thread complaining about posters mentioning bush (uh duh, unfortunately he is President for 356 more days but we are supposed to ignore him. Gee, wonder if Hawkfreak ignored Clinton his last year in office.) it looks like you have him figured out pretty good. Now get ready to be attacked. Then if you respond in kind, the crying & moaning will start that it's all your fault.
Then after you continuously put Hawkfreak in his place and show him over & over for what he is, Hawkfreak will then turn his blog nazi routine on you by deleting your posts (that is why I had to reply here). Of course he will claim otherwise, but real reason is he hopes to continue to fool others who haven't seen through him yet.

Again, I apologize. But if it was a normal blogger, of course this wouldn't have been necessary.

I copied the deleted response into chAng's Political Termination thread. I thought that was appropriate ;)

chAng - congratulations, you've already been deleted by the most worthless blogger on here. WOW! You hit a nerve fast. Now watch. His next childish move is to make a response thread to a thread you make because he doesn't have the guts to go on your thread.

Yeah MO, is this hilarious or what?

Yeah, but now I feel like I've sunk below my standards. But he makes it irresistible at times.

Ya know what's priceless? I just checked the SPTimes again and we have about 20k voters on each side voting for candidates that have dropped out. HELLO!!!! I posted it on For_The_People's Rudy blog on pg 1.

Geez people... There are times I can understand vote rigging. I don't like it, but obviously uninformed people actually show up and vote.

duhhhhh

chAng, I too apologize for dragging your interesting thread off topic......

FTP reminded me that those votes could be early voters. I hope so!

...Yeah, he deleted all the posts I made last night on his blogs, he's a wuss, just can't come to terms with his own psyche.

...I've been debating folks for a while in other message boards and forums and I've seen his kind, though he's not very convincing and isn't very creative in his art of B.S. speaking in debate. He probably lives in his parents basement and has a huge porn collection.

...Someone who lashes out for fun like he does definitely has some issues going on. Someone with horrible self esteem tries to prove their intellect by belittling others, and people can easily see this clearly where even at face value it comes off as infantile.

...I say to him, bring it on, actually I challenge him to reply to my next blog with the vow not to erase any of his comments and a guarantee of no slander on my part. See if he's up to the task of analyzing his world view.

chAng - he's too spineless to reply on your blog. What he does is start a reply blog instead.

You're probably right about him living in his parents basement, that way he doesn't have to go far to hide behind his mommy's skirt.

BTW - being in Florida, his basement is a hole dug under the patio slab.

hehehehehehe..... He just fixed your little red wagon. After your 4th repost, he deleted all the posts from the thread and took off the comments option.

Y'all shouldn't pick on Hawkeye. ;)

No big deal. His threads are more to laugh at then respond to anyway.
