OVERVIEW OF CINDY ANTHONY INTERVIEW TAKEN 8/4/08-by Cappuccino

Cindy began the interview talking on phone with FBI, she’s complaining she needs someone to pay attention & look for Caylee. Talked about a sighting of a couple that she insists sat across from Caylee in a restaurant on the 21st (she called local authorities). Discusses Georgia tips & Cindy is steering the conversation. She accuses investigators of being unprofessional because they met a lady & her son at a McDonald’s to do a sketch (airport sighting-turned out to be false). She then says she got an email from someone that they saw Caylee in PA at a park and called park security and 911. Cindy claims the dispatcher said they “had reason to believe this child is dead“ and then told investigators “This is BLEEP, and I‘m gonna say BLEEP that the public has out there and you wonder why we are so frustrated.” She then proceeds to tongue lash the investigators. She said this was last Sat (the interview was 8/4).

Investigator tries to get her back on timeline discussion, reminding her that he was frustrated with the Tampa story knowing it was a lie but there has to be some truth somewhere in what Casey is saying. They pick up on the timeline & Cindy states that they stayed over one more night until Zani got out of hospital. Cindy didn’t know what make the car was that reportedly got totaled but Casey was very specific to say the replacement was a silver 2008 Ford Focus (yea right). Casey didn’t tell Cindy anything about running out of gas. Investigator asks about car being abandoned at Amscot, Cindy asks if there was anything left on the car because Casey said she put a note on the car.

Casey told her that she stayed with Jeff Hopkins the 27th thru the 30th. Cindy says that Casey had Jeff on her phone as her current boyfriend. Cindy said that Casey told her that Zani was with her and Jeff on the 28th despite her concussion so they could all reminisce (you cant write this stuff!). The 30th Jennifer was watching Caylee, took her to the park while Casey was working. Cindy admits that Casey seemed to have difficulty talking to her about Caylee so she started texting Cindy more. Cindy went to Universal to search for Casey & Caylee. Cindy talked to Casey a few times on the 4th of July because Cindy wanted to know if she was going to be able to take Caylee to go see fireworks. Casey gave her the run around & said that she was staying with Jeff because “they were trying to work out things out to be family”. Casey told her mother that Jeff may have been moving back to Orlando and that they would be living together. Cindy added that she wasn’t sure Jeff was “an actual person.” Jeff was supposed to follow Casey back to Orlando. His mother was reportedly getting married on the 13th. No, excuse why she didn’t talk to her on the 14th.

NOTE:

Cindy for the first time tells investigators that she & George parked Casey’s car in the garage, opened everything up, took the battery out of Casey’s car stating “just in case someone came home and tried to get the car, ya never know”. Investigator asked her what she meant and she said she didn’t want to speculate but that was their thought. Cindy said when she got home from work approx 5:30-6PM she found Amy’s phone number up front with her keys and purse (conflicts with original story that she found it on a resume in the glove box). O Cindy said at first Amy and her were going to meet somewhere but she offered to pick her up “at the airport, I mean, the mall’ but after Amy made a phone call she called back to tell Cindy to pick her up at the mall.

Cindy eludes Amy & Ricardo are being dishonest. Ricardo told her Casey stayed with them until the 8th - Ricardo went to Baltimore but it is her “understanding” that Amy, Ricardo & Troy all took different flights to Puerto Rico (corey voice message?). They were all booked by Casey on her computer. Casey never booked a flight. Cindy then tries to implicate Ricardo, Amy & Troy of having a odd reason for taking different flights “I find it odd”. Detectives tell Cindy Ricardo took another flight due to coming in from Baltimore, Amy tried to coordinate but Troy had a work conflict.

Detectives tell Cindy that when Lee found the laptop at Tony’s everything was wiped clean from the 15th of June on. Cindy then eludes “well all that stuff was sitting at that apartment” from the time she picked up Casey until Lee picked up Casey’s stuff, yet again trying to pin the laptop being tampered with by anyone but Casey. Lee picked up two bags of clothes, no Caylee clothes. Caylee’s backpack in the car only had diapers, a toothbrush, maybe a few wipes.

Cindy said her JC Penny and Sears card were in Casey’s belongings, receipts and cash.

Cindy said she told the female officer “Do you mind if I keep the cash (laughs) it might pay for something back….” Cindy claims she doesn’t know how much cash it was, Lee said it was $160 and $220. Cindy said she didn’t think it was more than $200. Casey’s work bag was in the car, pair of pants, boots & shoes in the backseat. She claims she asked the female officers if they wanted any of the clothes but they were smoky so she wanted to wash them. She already had washed the gray pants because they were nasty. Cindy said “everything took the smell of the car.” Caylee’s baby doll was left in the car and taken with a few other items. Detectives asked her for the pants. Cindy talks about a media circus when they came for the cans, insinuates they could have brought them to avoid that.

Cindy then states that the Saturday the 19th “after all of this happened someone went thru all of her stuff and there was only one person that I know that could have done that” and the detectives ask her who, she says “Jesse, went on my computer to access phone records and he happened to walk by Casey’s room to get to where the computer’s at.” Cindy tells detective that she went to pick up flyers, she came back and Annie (Casey’s friend) was at the house & it was Cindy’s idea to get some of Casey’s friends together at the house to talk. When they came back Jesse & Lee were at the house so she discussed getting people together to do a timeline, mentions Sean Daly’s friend did Casey’s tattoo. Cindy claims that Jesse said “Mrs Anthony I want to be in charge of the timeline” and Cindy told him no but he could interject his information. She states that he pushed it further to say “Well, I really want to participate.” She said that she spent two hours with Jesse.

NOTE:   She is trying to pin something on Jesse.

She is questioning that he said he was “losing” his job with OPD versus that he quit & questioned an 18 min call he had with Casey. Jesse told her he asked about Caylee. Casey told him she was with the nanny at the beach. Cindy keeps pushing that he made an error with the date he talked to Casey. Cindy clearly states again that she was suspicious. She said he got upset when she “shot him down about the time line” and that it was “very strange behavior.” Cindy says that Jesse from the 21st on went to Georgia.

Cindy mentions Melina and that they should talk to her. Reportedly Jesse & Melina got together for awhile. Cindy accuses Jesse of “really reaching out” to Annie & Melina and accused Cindy & George of “turning his name into the police” and having words with him about it. Cindy then mentions Lauren Gibbs used to babysit Caylee but there is another Lauren that reportedly introduced Ricardo and Amy to Casey about a year ago. Cindy seems to rely on Annie a lot and discusses again that Annie knows about “Caylee’s dad was killed in a car crash.”

The detective discuss her frustrations with people having preconceived notions but that they take their time. Cindy tries to vent & then states “yea you were off do other things trying to build a case against Casey, Casey may be a liar but she did not murder her daughter.” One of the detectives says “well we are taking the facts where they lead us.” Cindy continues to complain that they are doing Caylee an injustice.

Cindy once again points to Ricardo & Amy asking the detectives “why do you think Casey took you to Glenwood, who lives in that complex, Ricardo & Amy live there in that complex.” Cindy continues, “if she was stepping back enough, you know everyone can speculate or whatever, I think Casey got mixed up with some bad people, Ricardo, Amy and Tony. So let’s just learn they’re all intertwined, they’re all into drugs, we’ve talked to another agency, they’re all into drugs, they all know each other very well. And for Amy telling me that she’s only been to Tony’s once has to be a lie because she knows them. Amy is the one who introduced, and Tony and Ricardo go way back, there’s some dealings there. So Casey’s mixed up somehow, so and they have the money and means and Casey’s been maintaining all along that they’re a physical threat against the family or harm to if she comes clean if she tells where Caylee’s at so…” She then states, “I don’t know if they’re, my understanding is these folks have some connections, with some people that have money, have way of having people disappear, has means to threaten and Casey’s scared I can see it in her face, she’s scared. She’s been trying to give us clues, I’ve been saying it since day one, for us to figure it out without coming right out… “ Cindy then states that she could have “Casey out of jail today I want you to know, that the bail money is not an issue, I’m telling you that right now I have people that can help me. I think it’s a safety issue for both Casey and Caylee by keeping her ass there for right now until we figure some stuff out, because if the media and everyone are still pointing fingers at Casey everybody else is okay. SO if we get off our butt and we keep looking for these people, I’m just saying me, Lee or whoever I’m not saying just you guys., start looking at some of these issues, other possibilities we’re gonna find who these people are & we‘re gonna find Caylee.”

NOTE:  Is this retilation becasue Amy filed charges against Casey?

The detectives tell Cindy they have invited other people to look at other case scenarios, looking at phone records, possible drug connections anything that has bells and whistles. Cindy keeps bringing up that she is working with “another agency”. Detectives warn her that the agency should be contacting them so they are on the same page basically, she didn’t have much to say to that. They ask her again to bring in the gray pants & anything else that she removed from the car. She accusing someone of taking an ID of Casey’s the evening of the 15th.

Cindy volunteers to speak for Jose Baez, Casey’s attorney about obtaining the tape of the airport regarding if Caylee was seen. The detective tells her he needs to speak to Yuri Melich, Cindy claims he did. She confronts them as to why they wont give it to him saying he was told it is evidence…well duh! Cindy said “what’s the deal with that?” Detectives are trying to conclude the interview. Cindy questions if they are releasing evidence because its on TV, she asks that she not hear stuff on TV and they tell her (in other words she’s trying to control what is put out there). Cindy then confronts them about the cadaver dogs, she is questioning them trying to gain information to defend Casey. Cindy is then asked to raise her right hand, and she says “I didn’t know I was swearing in, to the best of my ability this is what I remember I didn’t know this was a deposition. I didn’t do this Friday, I‘m just putting it out there guys.” ...overview done by capp 9/7/08

How are they dismissing Tony Lazarro from this case scenario?

Well, I just watched the new bond hearing and the bail is set at $1250, the Penguin is working on getting her out.  That isnt even the news, Baez held a presser after he left the hearing OMG OMG   I am FUMING!  I watched it on Fox livestream.   I have the whole thing in my head but in fragments, hopefully one of the local newscast will air a video of it in its entirety  These are statements he made:
 
Police are intimidating his client, he is not intimidated
State wants to play these games, people need to stand up and complain about it
When cops have evidence of a murder their not fooling around with check charges
I implore you as journalists to ask the hard questions what evidence they have, they wont confirm it
What's with this chloroform, they say my client bought it where's the transfer, where's the receipts
Its not evidence till it comes to court, why havent they turned it over to the defense
They questioned her for hours alone without giving her her rights (yea good luck w that, they covered every which way what they were doing & she at each juncture said she was willing to talk)
The body farm, I called Tennessee the tests are not even complete
What are we puppets?
I have my client focused, Im not intimidated
They have searched, a group came across the country they found nothing
What is going on with LE, is this professional police work?
They are using scare tactics, its not working, it is a lack of evidence
Why havent they turned over anything to the defense, why are they grandstanding
She's under house arrest for crying out loud
You ask why she is at my office, if you had what they are doing to her, Im preparing her
If you havent noticed we have a missing child here
Courts arent being fooled, courts not buying it they issued standard bond
You prepare your client for the worst, unless they're gonna take her beind my back and beat her up they arent going to get to her
Tips have been turned over to LE, they aren't doing anything with it
If they think the evidence will pass the rigors of independent testing why havent they given it to the defense
This is not what justice is
This is poisoning the jury pool
If the police did this to her, they can do it to you
They could easily use your money on the streets
Why can people go in front of her home and yell, cause violence, stalk and bring kids that CFS is coming into it, if it were any of you you'd be arrested for certain
Everyone needs to take a stand, this is not responsible journalism, if they can do this to her they can do it to you.
 
WOW JUST WOW   This man has some nerve, I have no idea what the Penguin thought he would accomplish by making these strong accusations, IMHO it wasnt impressive, in fafact Baez is the one grandstanding!    He can spew away its not going to overshadow the truth.

MY TIMELINE & DISCOVERY RELEASED - CASEY ANTHONY CASE updated, 9/23 further updates pending

Mid to late June: Cindy calls Ryan & discovers Casey had never worked at Sports Authority; tells him Casey's a sociopath.  At this time Cindy also is contacting folks telling them Casey was a liar, etc..
6/2 Tony Lazarro reports seeing Caylee for the last time
6/9 Amy said she last saw Caylee approx this date. She also told police in her sworn statement of 7/16 about Casey saying she had $15K in savings and that she was "going to get" her parents' house.  Casey said they could be roommates after she got the house.  Casey reportedly spent the night with Ricardo and Amy with Caylee

I’m still at Ricardo and JPs… hopefully everything works out soon! Hey, so I forwarded my mail a little late… any idea how to get my insurance stuff that got mailed to the Oviedo house?

 NOTE:   counting back 9 days she left her house the evening of 6/15 after the heated argument the neighbor heard OR came back for Caylee on 6/16

6/9 to 6/25 Casey contacts Brittany Schieber many times about going to nightclubs
6/10 Ricards sees Caylee that morning at his home
6/12 to 6/14 Kristina tells police that Caylee was w Casey & they went for a walk at the park one day in this time frame.
6/13 Roy House sees Caylee
6/13 - 6/15 Casey is supposed to visit Ryan Pasley at his aunt's house for a party; doesn't show
6/15 Cindy and Caylee visit great-grandfather 6/15  Cindy returns home w Caylee & her mother; a loud argument ensues that the neighbor reports later occurred.  Cindy's brother Rick reports that the argument was Cindy trying to convince her mother not to press charges against Casey for stealing under $400 out of her grandfather's retirement account - Casey argues w her mother
6/16 George states that this is the last time he saw Caylee w Casey as they left w backpacks approx 1PM that day w Casey saying that she was "going to work".  (no way to verifiy if this indeed took place yet) 6/16-mid July   Casey is in constant contact w Mark Hawkins via her cell phone 6/16 A "flurry" of phone calls are made by Casey; to her mother, father, Lee & one call to Jesse (recent interview he states that Casey told him that she needed a place to live that she had to move out of her home)
6/17 Zenaida visits Sawgrass Apartments w her boyfriend & 2 children (Z later reports she doesnt know Casey & has suffered being connected to that name-Casey later is shown a picture of the woman by police in jail Casey states she doesnt know her) 6/18 Casey backs her car into the Anthony driveway; she borrows a shovel from their next door neighbor 6/18 Another "flurry" of phone calls from Casey to mother, father, etc.
6/19 Casey and Tony Lazarro meet Matt about an apt w/o Caylee; later that week Casey invites Matt to Fusion
6/20 Maria Kissh sees Casey at Tony's without Caylee
Sometime betwen 6/22 to 7/6 Casey uses Jesse Grund's  shower w/o Caylee
6/24 George files incident report that gas cans stolen from his shed
6/24 Casey goes home w/o Caylee; George asks for a wedge that they argued for her to get out of the car; she was stalling but he went to retrieve it anyways; he reports seeing the gas cans in the car 6/26 Casey contacts Mark Hawkins on phone several times up until 11:30PM

6/25  Casey texts Amy H and tells her that the her car smells like something died in it and blames it on a dead squirrel
6/27 Casey calls Jessie, asks him if he wants go out partying 6/27 Casey's car is spotted at Amscot next to a dumpster approx 7AM backed into a space near their dumpster 6/28 Casey's phone activity is nil; later found out by phone records that her phone was disconnected; had to pay reconnection fee - the phone records show very heavy phone use during the period of 6/9 thru mid July; mostly to guys & her family

6/28 Casey shows up at Amy's door & asks if they can go to Target to get a gas can; she said Caylee was at the beach & that she was "in a good place & not involved with all this other stuff"
6/30 Car towed  & impounded
6/30 to 7/5 Tony Lazarro was reported to be in New York Late June to Mid July: Casey was in touch w Marine in CA Mark Hawkins on myspace.   She said she wanted to visit him in CA soon to tell him something, she had another relationship w a Marine in 2006-2007 (Brandon-see his myspace I posted).  My theory is she was planning to flee to CA & what she had to tell him either regarding Caylee's father OR a ruse to mooch off of him while she found a way to disappear or create a way to get away with what she did to Caylee (i.e. she was abducted in Cali)
7/2 Casey gets Bella Vida tattoo  (Meaning in Italian, Beautiful Life)  She told the tattoo people that she was supposed to go to PR w the gang but couldn't b/c of $-plans on coming back later that month for another tattoo.   Troy also reported that Casey spoke of Caylee's father being someone she had a one night stand w that was in the military.
7/2 to 7/6 Amy says Casey w her almost nonstop w/o Caylee unless Amy was at work
7/3 Casey tells Jesse not to talk to her parents if they call & to "stay out of it". 7/3 Pictures of Casey emerge of her at a 4th of July party at Tony's house, shes naked draped in an American flag having a good ole time

my caylee is missing

This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don’t know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother’s love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?

7/7 Matt Crisp sees Casey at Subway w/o Caylee around noon 7/8 Amy, Ricardo, and JP leave for Puerto Rico "the week of the 12th" 7/9 Kios' she said Casey wanted to borrow money on July 9th
7/10 Ann Chase sees Casey at Target w/o Caylee
7/10 Casey calls Ann Chase's son Mark Hawkins in CA to say that she has something to tell him that she had already told her mother and plans on coming to California
7/15 Casey returns to tattoo parlor alone 7/15 Amy, JP, and Ricardo return from Puerto Rico; Casey went to pick them up
7/15 George & Cindy find out about car being towed. They pick it up & Cindy argues about the cost & wants a discount.  George volunteers that he's had difficulty w his daughter & she won't let him see his granddaughter (odd that he felt he had to mention that).   Car was noted to smell like a dead body. Flies & maggots were reported to be present when the trunk was opened.  Mr. Birch throws the white garbage bag over a fence but the police later recover the garbage bag (note I think Mr. Birch should have called the police upon this discovery)
7/15 Amy takes Cindy to Lazarro's 7/15 Tony confronted Casey via phone about all her lies, stealing from Amy (he found Amy's checkbook at his house in Casey's thing) Casey was NOT happy about that...it seems that may be why she wanted to call him from jail.
Tony Lazzaro reports that Casey told him that she stole Amy's money because she needed it for a 'back up plan'. 7/15 George reportedly didn't answer Cindy's first call on the evening of the 15th, nor does he return home on Cindy's first request, he tries to send Lee to go deal with it
7/15 Cindy calls 911 three times
7/15 Police arrive, separate the family members, conduct interviews; Cindy mentions the foul odor in the car to the police again 7/16 late Casey removed over 200 photos and almost 4 months worth of messages from her myspace and facebook-reported by Jessie Grund, if memory serves. 7/16 Casey texts friends to say Caylee is missing; Cindy later testifies that she & Casey made Casey's myspace, contacted friends to report Caylee missing before her arrest later that day
7/16 Jeff Hopkins reports seeing Casey Anthony at Orlando Ale House w/o Caylee in early July.  He tells investigators who Casey claims introduced her to Zenaida 4 years ago  that he doesn't spend time with her, doesnt know a Zanny; has never had a nanny beause he doesn't even have kids!  Casey called his folks approx 3 am on the 16th asking for him. no one answered and his parents have no clue who she is; Cindy later testifies at the bond hearing that Zeneida was Jeffrey Hopkins girlfriend that watched the kids  for 1 1/2 years (obvious lie)
7/16 Police go to Sawgrass Apartments with Casey where she reports that she dropped Caylee off to Zanny at the stairs of apt 210.
7/16 Police and Casey go on a wild goose chase to several locations where Zanny according to Casey lived previous to Sawgrass; as well as Universal Studios where she finally admits she doesnt work there-they find out not since April 2006
7/16 Casey is arrested 7/16 Police interview Amy
7/16 Police take car into evidence
7/17 Police take Casey's laptop computer and a digital camera into evidence
7/17 Police meet with Amanda Macklin at Sawgrass who said that a friend of Casey's lived there, Dante Salah (actually I think a few friends reporteldy live in the complex) 7/17 Police interview the next door neighbor, Brian Burner about the shovel  NOTE: dirt, hair, a stain & presence of chloroform later found as evidence in trunk of Casey's car)
7/17 Cadaver dog alerts on trunk of Casey's car
7/18 Police search Anthony back yard;  cadaver dog hits on area
7/21 Casey gives DNA samples
7/22 Anne Lenington, facility employee confirms Caylee was at the nursing home on 6/15
7/22 Police interview Zenaida Rosado 7/22 Casey's first bond hearing is held

Last night I listened to the entire bond hearing again because I remember saying its amazing how much Cindy Anthony lied on the witness stand, well after seeing the discovery documents it is very clear just how much she lied thru her teeth!   As a result I picked up on so much, I don't even know where to begin!        My thoughts in doing so was a belief that I've learned, sometimes you must go to the beginning to get to the end.   Cindy was snagged with saying she would not cooperate with police any longer if they pursued talking to her father.  Now, I denoted the day of the hearing her reaction but when listening back Det Yuri Melich literally testified that she said she would not cooperate with LE (law enforcement) from the evening before the bond hearing which means she had to be combative with LE all along.  Cindy was also snagged about talking on national TV criticizing the investigation - keep in mind how early in the case this was, days after Casey's arrest (you can bet TV coverage of interviews will be used by the prosecution at time of trial).  What is also very noteworthy is even from here you can hear her willing to protect her daughter & that she feels "she did not commit a crime" and will do anything to get her out of jail despite that she was frantic enough to call 911 because Casey could not produce Caylee to her.  She testified that she communicated with Casey every day pretty much during this "31 days" and that they were "best friends" and classified her not talking to Caylee as a "misopporunity" YET she told LE on the 911 call that she had not seen her daughter in a month!   Cindy weaved thru questions about Casey's work history.  Listen to how upset she gets when the DA begins to touch on her family's financial sorted mess (its not recent either, they've had a long history going back to when they lived in Ohio-foreclosures & family disputes with George's family, etc.).  This is even before anything has come out "publicly" about Casey tapping out her parents credit cards or stealing from her grandfather's retirement account or all the statements by people that know the Anthonys about Casey being a pathological liar, theft, and in her mother's words a sociopath.   In her testimony she also talks about 7/16 very early morning when the detectives where there, they took Casey to Sawgrass & other places, they returned her home BUT on 7/16 in the morning she and Casey set up Casey's myspace & started making calls then to all her friends to inform them that Caylee was missing, asking for help....hmmmmm.  The detectives showed up at noon to take her to Universal where she kept insisted she worked, and she was arrested from there.  In her testimony she talks about Zanny the Nanny as if she was completely aware of her existence & states that Casey had talked about her for 3 years - that is a boldface lie!   The DA then questioned if she ever met Zanny, she said no, there was no reason to.  The girl that used to sit for Caylee when Casey actually worked was Lauren Gibbs (see discovery).  Interestingly, Cindy also mentions Jeffrey Hopkins as if she was totally aware of him.  She states that Zanny was his girlfriend who watched his son & Caylee!!  (first time around millions must have missed that she called Zanny his girlfriend-I did & havent seen it mentioned but caught it this time)  BUT then has to admit she never met him (the guy that supposedly introduced Zanny 4 years ago to Casey & had a son that Zanny watched, we now know that he never knew a Zeneida & he doesnt have a son!  Cindy lies about Jesse Grund as well.  Watch Cindy's demeanor and drama, its amazing!  She became combative with the DA and you can readily see the difference of how she was when she answered questions from the Penguin as opposed to the DA.   My biggest observation is about Cindy, IMHO she is willing to lie & cover up for Casey right from the beginning.   It is extremely obvious that Cindy & Casey had plenty of time to talk & literally get their stories straight to "Casey's script".   Her argumentative & combative behavior is NOT as a result of people speculating or judging what happened, she has guilt she is dealing with & is very upset that their attempts to fool LE and the public are failing.  I truly do believe that George & Cindy brought the car home after that discovery & were more than willing to conceal the findings in that car - Cindy washed the clothes, kitchen knife, etc.   I now have serious questions about George's story about finding the gas tanks in Casey's car on the 24th.   Lee's testimony was very interesting because he was over the top in how he explained his relationship to his sister.  That they were extremely close, could talk to each other about anything...listening back to him I noticed that he too is very willing to protect his sister at all costs.  He states how minimally he got to talk to Casey, it is my opinion that  he and Cindy are lying about how much time they had an opportunity to talk to Casey.   I found it absolutely compelling that the DA chose not to question George too much - my thoughts are there was a definite reason for it to be saved for a later time.   Observations about Jose Baez aka "The Penguin"  Everything he argued worked against his client given the circumstances, he sounded like an amateur & the judge put him in his place several times.  He put Casey's family on the stand to prove that they would be vehicles to get to the truth from Casey & that they were trustworthy/cooperative....it totally blew up in his face!  He attempted to say that the detectives arrested her too soon & that had they not she would have provided the truth via willingly or by being surveilled - hello, did he not get that she had already ran them around on a wild goose chase and admitted she lied several times!!  He tried to elude to the fact that the detectives were questioning Casey without her invoking her right to talk to an attorney, this was his first attempt to insinuate that the detectives were not handling the case properly & later to get her statements thrown out - Yuri confidently answered him honestly with no worries because the fact is that pea for brains argued about his client being questioned BEFORE her arrest & she clearly made those statements starting at the Anthony home willing....tsk tsk tsk .  Several times with the written statement and the recorded statements Casey was asked if she was willing to go forward, if what she said is what she wants to stick to - When "The Penguin" talks to reporters he is caught having to answer to how the judge told him no to immunity that very day, not weeks after as he portrayed in the press & makes excuses as to what he tried to get the judge to do as far as Casey's release.  What he basically argued was that if the police didnt arrest her they could have surveilled her & the family would have had a chance to talk to her to find out what happened since she claimed not to trust the police.  Obviously, Judge Strickland knows bullcrap when its slung, lol!
