Hello ,

Here are three words that your political buddies and the news media cannot Broadcast.

BACK  YARD ETHANOL. First it is under Federal law to produce.  Second it is a renewable resource. Third the landfills do not need all of the excesss material to fire the fire boxes in your back yard that make ethanol. Fourth you do not need wheat and corn to produce ethanol. Brazil uses sugar beets. Brazil has been off oil dependence since 1979. Cars can run on ethanol. Ethanol does not destroy the atmosphere. you can make ETHANOL with WATER,SUGAR and YEAST

Lets get the stills working in our back yards and reduce the price of gas to .99 cents a gallon.

Pass the word to everyone you know and why wait for oil!

Sincerely,

BobTonk

Great idea. A few of our friends have put those hydrogen kits on their vehicles and they are increasing their milage 50%. The gizmos only costs about 150-200 or you can build them yourself with items from the hardware store. What do you think about that?

You building HHO as well RL ? I am on my third prototype (trying to get the cost of my electrodes down but all stainless is still giving me the best results) ...I have been looking at “Backyard Ethanol” but can't afford a still yet , looking on the net it seams that a “20 gallon* “ unit is going to run me over $3,000 ...and at a 8 to 1 reduction that means only 2 gallons (or less) each pass...I am still looking for something like a commercial boiler to build my own with at around 100 gallons capacity.
What interests me most is the idea of using grass clippings and Oranges as a mash base (requires enzymes) but your idea of using paper trash for heat is a good one I plant to use a “open” burn chamber and scrap wood/tree limbs/paper etc
*a 20 gallon still can not be filled to 20 gallons it only holds a bit over 18 gallons of liquid.

LOL why not do both , we can get “tanked up” along with the car...actually federal law dos say we have to “de-nature” our home brew to be legal and I am still trying to get clarification on the allowable quantity you can produce with out having to get an EPA permit...but if you will take a shift with the shotgun to keep the revenuers away we can make all we want.
Speaking of witch I wonder what the IRS will have to say about all this....

And there was thunder, thunder over "Thunder Road",
Thunder was his engine and white lightening was his load.
And there was moonshine, moonshine to quench the devil's thirst.
The law they never got him 'cause the devil got him first.
