After watching the story about SC police using their cars to apprehend bad guys I started to wonder about alternatives. I like the car idea because it works but here goes with 3 ideas I have.
One is shoot 'em. That's right Shoot Them! If you run from a cop it is generally, and this is a proven statement, because you have an outstanding warrant, have just committed a crime or you are a moron.
Two is release the dogs. I love watching K-9 dogs take down a bad guy. If I was a cop I would want a K-9 dog and let him eat.
Three is the Taser. Many of my friends are Sheriff's Deputies and they have said even when they use the Taser most bad guys/girls try to get away. Imagine being zapped with 60,000 volts and wanting to run.
So here we go with the ultimate solution. Use the Taser and zap them 3 times. If they still resist release the dogs and let them eat and lastly shoot the dumb b******d.
This morning there was a segment on junk mail and what people are doing to stop it. I want to take the side of the junk mail company.
Recently the United States Postal Service raised your postage rates to 41 cents for a 1st class letter and many of you complained. In fact almost everyone complained. The USPS's reason for the rate increase was a decrease in profits partly due to the increased use of Internet E-mail. I think they are partly right. I use e-mail instead of the USPS because it is so much easier and faster.
Now think about this. Almost everyday you receive at least one piece of junk mail. On some days I receive 10 or more pieces but I do not complain. The reason I don't is the junk mail companies are responsible for one very important issue. They generate billions of dollars of revenue for the USPS. Now take away the junk mail companies and watch the price of a 1st class stamp immediately go to $1.00 or more. Every time you mail a bil, birthday card, Christmas card or anything you pay a buck. How high do you think postage will get in 5 years? I will guess it will go to at least $2.00 or maybe more.
Do what I do with junk mail. Shred anything with information you want kept from strangers and throw the rest away. Better yet I read about a man that saved it and burned it in his fireplace for heat in the winter.
FYI: I sell junk mail and it is selling faster than ever because more people respond to it than any other form of advertising. In other words IT WORKS!
