How in the world is this NOT a hate crime.  Oh wait, I know, it was a bunch of scumbag blacks beating up a white woman.  Sarah did ABSOLUTELY nothing to provoke this.  She mearly wanted a seat.  Why is it that you barely, if at all heard about this in the media.  Why is it whites aren't marching and demonstrating.  Wait, I know the answer to that too...the majority of whites have jobs and can't afford to take the time off to demonstrate. I hope these scumbags get beaten to a pulp in jail.

Woman Beaten on Bus

As Sarah Kreager, 26, tried to sit down on a Baltimore City bus Tuesday, police say, a middle-schooler told her she couldn’t. When she attempted to take another seat, a middle-schooler wouldn’t let her. Finally, according to police, Kreager just sat down.

She was “immediately attacked” by nine students—three females and six males—from Robert Poole Middle School. They punched and kicked her at 2:59 p.m. at the intersection of 33rd Street and Chestnut Avenue, according to Maryland Transit Administration police.

She sustained “serious injuries” and had to be transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to a police report.

Kreager suffered two broken bones in her left eye socket, police said.

“She had eye muscles that were damaged,” a police report states. “She had deep lacerations on the top of her head and another above her neck.”

All nine suspects, ages 14 and 15, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Greene [Jawauna Greene, an MTA police spokeswoman] said the investigation into the incident was ongoing and she didn’t know whether the attack had anything to do with the victim’s race.

The suspects in the incident are black. The victim is white, according to the police report.

Baltimore resident David Briggs, who lives near the crime scene, said the incident underscores Baltimore’s pervasive crime.

You know why it's not a hate crime. Worst of all is that these 'scumbags' won't get beaten to a pulp in jail, because they won't go. They are minors and are probably fully aware that they will be released to the custody of their parents while the attack is 'investigated'. I believe someone reported earlier on another blog on this topic that a piece of information was reported, that 'they were provoked', but no specifics given. As if it suddenly becomes excuseable to do this.

fish - i heard that provoked nonsense as well.
and now the parents apparently HAVE come out with this foolishness and some other mess about their children being supposed "angels." they have their heads up their u-know-whats. angels and/or good kids dont do this kind of stuff and they know it. she "provoked" them because she wanted to sit down? thats ridiculous and they and the parents know it. btw, i havent seen this story on ANY of the local news stations, not just fox. maybe because it isnt considered national news, and it isnt really "local" either? any ideas why other than the ones that have already been offered about the racial makeup of the people involved and what end of the story they are on?
but what im really wondering is why people dont go back and find out if a blog has already been done on a subject before they post it again. we have been blogging about this all last week.

You're right I probably should have gone back and checked and probably should have assumed that there would be a blog about the subject in DC. Sorry, I'm not as good a blogger as you. Now back to the task at hand, I've heard that they have videotape from the bus that shows these scumbags starting troublw with an elderly person as well as this woman. The police now know it was unprovoked. I am trying to find the source of that info and when found I will post it.

"won't get beaten to a pulp in jail" ...he=ll "fish" they'll probably be a hit back on the block in the hood!!!! ...some ears in the neighborhood would likely reveal whether racial attitude set the stage for this to happen ...and happen again!

How about cutting out all of the PC crap, and charging them all with attempted murder? Did you see the picture of the victim??

YES IT WAS A HATE CRIME!

I think we should contact Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton to start a fund for these nine poor victims. We’ll need money for their legal fees and to grant them full tuitions in the college of their choice. I was very happy to see the money put to Gold,, oops,, I mean good use for the Jena 6.

neat...through last evening and this morning I've heard about a dam monkey and its owner about 100 times as much as this beating victim in Baltimore ...we soon learn where the media's priorities are in news event ...the is and the beating crime isn't!!

THE NINE TEENAGERS THAT COMMITTED THAT HORRIFIC CRIME SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH ATTEMPT TO MAIM, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND ALL THE ABOVE AS ADULTS. IT IS SAD THAT THIS HAPPENS AND IT IS BROADCASTED ON THE NEWS AS IF IT IS NOT A HUGE DEAL BUT IF THE TABLES WERE TURNED WE WOULD HEAR THE OUTCRYS FOR DECADES!!!!! for posting this story.Some of us do have a,
life so we can't set in front of a computer,
screen 24/7.I think the main two reasons kids,
are so out of control are 1#BABIES HAVING,
BABIES.#2WHEN YOU TRY TO DISCIPLINE YOUR,
CHILD IT'S ABUSE.I think they should get the,
max that the law allows.I notice how certain,
people comment on blogs that their are seve-
ral racist on this site.If you want to go ,
there be real about it.Blacks were beaten,
a lot worst if they did not give their seat,
to a white person.I know some of you wish ,
it was still that way.I thank God for Rosa,
Parks for taking a stand.Thanks to her I ,

poor "shukur" ...you're a gift to the black racist agenda ...enjoy your Jenna trip? ...bet you've got your bags packed for a Baltimore trip in support of those 9 mutants ...not a black racist inspired attitude that emboldened these pukes ...what was it then, an act of love for fellow mankind ...you can bet your a=ss if a black, 280#, 6'-2" man with the look of trouble written all over his face said git they would've broke the 4 minute mile puttin' some space between them and him ...but a WHITE, unthreatening female is just the challenge they were lookin' for to raise their race conciseness huh?...

...here's what happened, she took a ride on their transit system that would would bring her well within the boundaries of their turf as they saw it and it would be a safe adventure to explore the issue of race attitude and relations on her ...PERIOD!!!!

...I don't think these 9 ingrates are exactly the model of the hopes Ms Parks held...to throw her example out there as a defense & /or plausible explanation to marginalize this incident is example enough of your class and intelligence...

once defended what these youths did.And if I,
can correct you I myself was jumped by 10,
black men.I guess that was a hate crime.I also,
said that is why they have investergators.
My first sentence said how horrific the,
crime was.It could have been a elderly,
black women and they may have beaten he too.
I also said a lot of the comments made on,
this blog were racialy stated.That is when,
I spoke of how my ancestors got the sh....t-
beat out of them if they did not give up,
their seat.You can take that however you wish.

What evidence is there that the crime was motivated by any particular prejudice? It's not automatically a hate crime just because their races differ (just as it wouldn't be if the situation was reversed). Look up the definition of "hate crime."

I don't deny that the kids deserve to be locked up for assault and all that jazz, but unless there is hard evidence that the kids did it /because/ she was white (and for some reason they disagreed with her being white), they should be regarded merely as violent, irrational little f*ckers (like most teenagers [Also, I apparently love parenthesis]).
