Worth reading since 90% of voters do not understand.

Worthy of your time and attention regardless of your party affiliation...

  545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who can create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, why do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, why do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does -- all he can do is propose. The House of Representatives initiates all spending bills.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault...they cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall.

No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.   The president can only propose a budget.   He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving all appropriations and taxes.    Who is the speaker of the House?   She is the leader of the majority party.   She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want.   If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility.   I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.   When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair,  it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in  IRAQ, it's because they want them in  IRAQ .

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.   Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation,' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people
-- who are their bosses...

provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees!

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Angry over a hard-nosed interview during which Barbara West of Orlando’s WFTV peppered Sen. Joe Biden with the kind of probing questions the pro-Obama mainstream media refuses to ask, the Obama campaign has completely banned the television station from future access and interviews.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Biden was so disturbed by West's searching questions that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.

"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best, for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

McGinnis said the Jill Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."

During the interview, West asked Biden: "Aren't you embarrassed by the blatant attempts to register phony voters by ACORN, an organization that Barack Obama has been tied to in the past?"

Biden appeared flustered by the question, but quickly gained his composure and denied that Obama had been close to ACORN.

Biden claimed that the campaign had not paid ACORN any money to register voters.

West did not challenge Obama on this point, though during the Democratic primary in Ohio, the Obama campaign had, in fact, paid more than $800,000 to an ACORN-backed group. West did note that Obama has worked with this group in the past. [See: Obama and ACORN: You Can Run But You Can't Hide].

West again stung Biden, asking him about Obama's statement to Joe the plumber that he planned to "spread the wealth around."

West queried: "A Gallup poll showed 84 percent of Americans prefer the government focus on improving economic conditions and creating more jobs in the U.S., as opposed to taking steps that distribute wealth. Isn't Senator Obama's comment a potentially crushing political blunder?"

Dodging the question, Biden attacked the Bush economic and tax policies and Sen. John McCain's tax program.

West bored in, quoting Karl Marx's "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs," and asked Biden, "How is Senator Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?"

Biden appeared stunned and asked, "Are you joking? Is this a joke?"

He then insisted that despite Obama's declaration that he would spread the wealth around, Obama "is not spreading the wealth around."

West then asked Biden about his now-famous statement that Obama would be tested and would not be able to stand up to the challenge without help.

"Are you forewarning Americans that nothing will be done and that America's days as the world's leading power are over?" West asked.

An obviously annoyed Biden responded by asking West who was writing her questions. West is a veteran TV news journalist who had worked as Peter Jennings' producer at ABC News.

Biden responded that whoever is elected will be tested, and then attacked McCain's record.

West returned to the “spreading the wealth” question, asking Biden what he'd "say to the people who are concerned that Barack Obama will want to turn America into a socialist country much like Sweden?"

Biden again ducked the question, saying only that he didn't know anybody who thinks that, "except the far-right wing of the Republican Party."

WFTV news director Bob Jordan told the Sentinel: "When you get a shot to ask these candidates, you want to make the most of it. They usually give you five minutes."

He added that political campaigns in general pick and choose the stations they like. And stations often pose softball questions during the satellite interviews.

"Mr. Biden didn't like the questions," Jordan said. "We choose not to ask softball questions. "

Change ?   But what kind ? My Grandpa used to say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make ‘em drink.  Hopefully, this will make you think a little bit..... if not, then keep your blinders on and we'll all pay the price. George Bush has been in office for 8 years. The first 6 years, the economy was fine.    A little over two years ago: 1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high; 2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon; 3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%. 4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 + 5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations o'seas,  living large!... But American's wanted 'CHANGE'!

So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress & yep--- we got 'CHANGE'  all right.

The new congress froze the president, creating a lame duck and here's what followed

In the PAST TWO YEARS: 1) Consumer confidence hasplummeted ; 2) The price of Gasoline soared; 3) Unemployment went up to 5% (a 10% increase); 4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS & prices still dropping; 5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure. 6) THE DOW is probing another low $2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS  HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!

YEP , IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE!... AND WE SURE AS Hell GOT IT!!!.... NOW  OBAMA, the DEMOCRAT'S CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT AND THE  POLLS SAY HE'S GONNA BE 'THE MAN' CLAIMS HE'S GONNA REALLY GIVE US CHANGE!!.... DEMOCRATS ARE DEMOCRATS……. JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YA THINK WE CAN STAND???  Ladies & Gentlemen are you aware we have had only two democratic presidents since 1963.  Jimmy Carter and William Jefferson Clinton.!!!!!!! I Rest My Case

I received an email from my ‘mentor’ and wanted to share it with you:

God is doing awesome things in the earth realm.  I know that things look dim on television, but Jesus is still next to the Father on the throne!  We are living in a time that we do not have to be an expert on the economy, the oil or the real estate market, we just need to be abreast on how to draw closer to God.   When you draw closer to Him, He will give you the mysteries of the things you need to know to make it in the world we live in today.   There are no mistakes, flaws or mishaps in the kingdom.   God's laws do not change like man's laws!

If you are confused about what is going on in the upcoming election, apply this simple principle:  Pray for God’s will to be done for the good of all; for common sense and wisdom for yourself and for others.    Also, beware of the strange voice.  God's sheep WILL NOT follow strange voices!  The word, 'follow' (in the Greek - John 10th chapter) means to be on the same road with.  It also means to come into agreement with.  Be watchful who you are walking with and who you AMEN!

It amazes me that people base their vote on who can debate the best.  Just because someone has smooth words, it does not mean they can lead a nation.  I know smooth talkers on the street that can debate better than both presidential candidates!  Paul was not a man of eloquent speech, but he wrote a large part of the greatest book ever published – the Bible!  Moses stood before Pharaoh and led the nation of Israel out of Egypt with a speech impediment.  Impressive preachers that can expound on the word of God, to put crowds in awe, have fallen and bit their tongues.  I am not surprised of these things because the word of the Lord states:  Men that flatter with their tongues have no faithfulness in their mouths.   Their inward parts are wicked and their throats are like open graves (Psalms 5:9).

I am not impressed with men that are eloquent in speech but declare that there is more than one way to God.  Words like these only come from strange voices.   BREAK ALL AGREEMENT WITH MOCKERS!  Words of intellectual, political and religious notoriety should hold no weight in your heart when they promote the passing of laws that break the covenant laws of God.  The good news is that God is not a man that He should be mocked.  Men even make movies to intentionally mock God!   But since God's laws do not change, whatever these men sow, THEY SHALL ALSO REAP --- the wicked will get  their reward (Psalms 91).

There is no fear of God in America (Psalms 55:19) by too many people who influence our daily lives.  The change we need in America is for men to allow God to change their hearts.

This is the scariest election that we, as Christians, have ever faced.   From the looks of the polls, many Christians aren't voting Christian values.   We all need to be on our knees.  Do you believe we can take God at His word? Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders to behold.  His scripture gives us, as Christians, ownership of this land and the ability to call upon God to heal it.   I challenge you to do so.  We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land.

2 Chronicles  7:14 :
If my people, which are called by my name shall  humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the  safety of England, its people and peace.  This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped.
There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America.  The United States of America and our citizens need prayer more than ever!!!
If you would like to participate:   each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time, 8:00 PM Central , 7:00 PM  Mountain, 6:00 PM  Pacific, stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, for wisdom, courage, and truthfulness from our leaders, for the up-coming election, and for the Bible to remain the basis for the laws governing our land and for Christianity to grow in the U.S.
If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass  this along.   Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless.  Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have, so let's utilize them and unite in prayer.
Please pass this onto anyone who you think will want to join us.  God Bless You and God Bless America!!!

I posted blogs on Oct. 5 and Oct. 8 about the book THE PLANNED DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA and want to thank those of you who provided information.

In my attempts to find the book (bookstores and sites), I was told that it was no longer available except for used copies.

The retail of the book was $13.95, but the cheapest used book price was $50 (there were higher prices).

I couldn’t believe it.   I guess those people would rather have it sit there instead of making it available for more people to read.  I do recommend that you check out the feedback posted about it on amazon.com I found an earlier book written by the same author and basically it said that our country was being infiltrated with communists in every walk of life and that it’s just a matter of time before Christianity is abolished and socialists take over our country.

Please read my next blog (Faith category), as we need to pray fervently!

Now isn't this something to think about!

If Barack Obama would apply for a job with the FBI or with the Secret Service, he would be
disqualified because of his past association with William Ayers, a known terrorist.

If he was elected President, he would
not qualify to be his own body guard!

(and the majority of the people don't even care!)

Has anybody ever read the book THE PLANNED DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA by Dr. James W. Wardner?

I'd like to know if anybody has actually READ it cover to cover.   The reason I ask is because a lady at the library told me she wished they had 50 copies of it because there is such a long waiting list for it.  I had never even heard of the book so am really curious.  If it's that good, I just might have to buy it to read, then donate it to the library so they'll have another copy.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.  THANKS!

Regulation: As the financial crisis spreads, denials on Capitol Hill
grow more shrill. Blame an aloof President Bush, greedy Wall Street,
risky capitalism — anybody but those in Congress who wrote the banking
rules.
Such denials won't hold against the angry facts banging on their
doors. The only question is whether the guilty party can keep up the
barricade until Election Day.

A visibly annoyed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rejected suggestions that Democrats share blame for the meltdown. "No," she snapped at reporters who dared ask.
Stick to our narrative, she scolded: The bursting of the housing
bubble was another story of market failure and deregulation.
"The American people are not protected from the risk-taking and the
greed of these financial institutions," she said, while calling for
investigations of the industry.

Only, the risk-taking was her idea — and the idea of all the other
Democrats, along with a handful of Republicans, who over the past 30
years have demonized lenders as racist and passed regulation after
regulation pressuring them to make more loans to unqualified borrowers in the name of diversity.

They were the ones who screamed — "REDLINING!" — and sent banks scurrying for cover in low-income neighborhoods, where they have been forced to lower long-held industry standards for judging
creditworthiness to make the subprime loans.

If they don't comply, they are threatened with stiff penalties under
the Community Reinvestment Act, or CRA, a law that forces banks to
make home loans to people with poor credit risks.

No fewer than four federal banking regulatory agencies are responsible for enforcing the law. They subject lenders to racial litmus tests and issue regular report cards, the industry's dreaded "CRA rating."

The more branches that lenders put in poor neighborhoods, and the more loans they make there, the better their rating. Those lenders with low ratings can not only be fined, but also blocked from mergers and other business transactions needed to expand.

The regulation grew to monstrous proportions during the Clinton
administration, obsessed as it was with multiculturalism. Amendments
to the CRA in the mid-1990s dramatically raised the amount of home
loans to otherwise unqualified low-income borrowers.

The revisions also allowed for the first time the securitization of
CRA-regulated loans containing subprime mortgages. The changes came as radical "housing rights" groups led by ACORN lobbied for such loans. ACORN at the time was represented by a young public-interest lawyer in Chicago by the name of Barack Obama.

HUD, in turn, pressured Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to purchase more subprime mortgages, and Fannie and Freddie, in turn, donated to the campaigns of leading Democrats like Barney Frank and Pelosi who throttled investigations into fraud at the agencies.

Soon, investment banks such as Bear Stearns were aggressively hawking the securities as "guaranteed." Wall Street's pitch was that MBSs were as safe as Treasuries, but with a higher yield.

But they weren't safe. Everyone in the subprime business — from
brokers to lenders to banks to investment houses — absolved themselves of responsibility for ensuring the high-risk loans were good.

The mortgage lenders didn't care, because they were going to sell the
loans to other banks. The banks didn't care, because they were going
to repackage the loans as MBSs. The investors and traders didn't care, because the MBSs were backed by Fannie and Freddie and their implicit government guarantees.

In other words, nobody up and down the line — from the branch office
on main street to the high-rise on Wall Street — analyzed the risk of
such ill-advised loans. But why should they? Everybody was just doing
what the regulators in Washington wanted them to do.

So everybody won until everybody lost, including the minorities the
government originally mandated the banks to serve.

The original culprits in all this were the social engineers who
compelled banks to make the bad loans. The private sector has no
business conducting social experiments on behalf of government. Its
business is making profit. Period. So it did what it naturally does
and turned the subprime social mandate into a lucrative industry.

Of course, it was a Ponzi scheme, because they weren't allowed to play by their rules. The government changed the rules for risk.

In order to put low-income minorities into home loans, they were
ordered to suspend lending standards that had served the banking
industry well for centuries. No one wants to talk about it, so they
just scapegoat Wall Street. Even John McCain has joined the Democrat chorus on this.

The FBI is now investigating 24 large mortgage lenders for alleged
abuses. But who will investigate the pols and the lobbyists and the
community agitators who made the bad decisions that ultimately forced businesses to make their bad decisions?

You couldn't get a job at McDonald's and become District Manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't become Chief of Surgery after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as a teacher and be the Superintendent after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't join the military and become a General after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't get a job as a reporter and become the Nightly News Anchor after 143 days of experience.

IF YOU NEEDED A HEART OPERATION, WOULD YOU USE A STUDENT DOCTOR THAT ONLY HAD 143 DAYS IN MEDICAL SCHOOL?

BUT....

'From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World .... 143 days.

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start, and strangely, a large sector of the American public is OK with this and campaigning for him.

We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet many are OK with this for the President of the United States of America.

Come on folks, we're not voting for the next American Idol!

You might want to pass this along...a lot of folks need to do some honest and serious thinking!
