where are the lines between school matters and criminal cases? right now our children are  subject to being punished twice for one incident-once by
the school system and then again by the criminal justice system. the way things are now the "school officers" are able to interrogate and file criminal reports without notifying the parents until their investigations are finished at the school. being minors- why dont our children have the same rights in school as they have outside of it? putting children in jail for playing ---what happened to my rights as a parent? iam going through same thing with my kid and am really upset that they are not required to notify me when my child was being interrogated by police on a criminal matter ..

Listen with all the little would be hoodlums I can see why they are toughened up..however I have to say IT IS VERY SAD..that kids are being criminally charged WHILE THE REAL CRIMINALS.....THE ADULTS COMMITTING HORRID CRIMES...are bonded and walking our streets. That's another matter......COULD YOU BELIEVE THERE'S NO BONDS AVAILABLE FOR JUVENILES that commit ok stupidity but the hard core criminals and the repeated offenders of DUI..are getting away.......SAD INDEED

Hello and wake up. No offense but police are allowed and still do go into schools talk to your child regarding all types of stuff and never inform you. ALSO, the child doesn't inform you either have the time because the child IS at fault or partly to blame. Bully rules- school police talk to students all the time but the parents are NOT informed by the school or the police. Wow, what a bunch of BS from our law makers and that school. I'd hold the school accountable then the police since the school have the police there.
Welcome to a new world view.
