Angelina Jolie Adopts again!

Angelina's at it again.  This time she's in the process of adopting a toddler from Vietnam.  She is adopting the little boy under single parent status since she and Brad Pitt are not married.

 

I applaud what she's doing.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if we we could all adopt one child and make their life better???  But does anyone think it's odd that she seems to be strategically adopting these children from different countries around the world.. some of them with Third World status?

 

Why doesn't she adopt some of the needy children here in our own country?  Think of the tens of thousands of children right here in the U.S. who are sitting in foster care or children's homes waiting for a good family to take them home.

 

Sometimes I get a little tired of celebrities trying to "Save the World", when there seems to be so much good they could be doing with their money and power right here at home.

 

What are your thoughts?

The sad thing is with most celebrities it is about being in the “Status Quo”

Adopted kids from third world countries are now the latest accessory, like a handbag or better yet a dog.

I do believe especially with Angelina that she is very sincere with her decisions and she truly has the right heart in her adopting kids.

Also, the truth is that even some of the adopted kids in foster homes in the US have it better than 90% of all kids in third world countries. However I think that because that is a factor people have forgotten about he lives of all these children in the US that need homes and families too.

I pray I will have the ability to adopt one child from the US before I pass because everyone a home.

I am with you Amy. We are in the process of adopting a 2 year old boy.....from the United States of America. I would have never considered leaving a kid here in the U.S. and going overseas. To me, it makes as much sense as sending money overseas for people to eat when we have children here in the U.S. that go to bed hungry every night!

Well said, amyk. The only way there is a waiting list to adopt in the US is if you will only take a baby. My parents waited 3 years for me.

Angelina LIED!! She purposely misrepresented herself to facilitate the adoption. This is wrong on so many levels, I can't even begin to express my outrage.
