That's right, my liberal-hating friends, to a degree, we're ALL liberals. Each and every one of you. Even you staunch republicians who believe these so-called liberals are the Anti-Christ.

I'm not making this up. I can prove it. It's in the new college edition of The American Heritage Dictionary.

According to American Heritage liberal is, and I quote, "having, expressing or following social or political views or politics that favor non-revolutionary progress and reform." I don't think any of you want to start a revolution, do you?

The definition goes on to say, and I quote, "Having, expressing or following views or politics that favor the freedom to act or express themselves in a manner of their own choosing." Sound familiar? It should. It's stated in our constitution!

So, you see, all of you have a little liberal flowing through your veins. But, don't worry, it can't be passed on through sex, dirty needles or blood transfusions.

First off that is absolutely the worst redefinition of the word I have ever seen, it is so bad it actually fails to define any quality of a liberal view point in any way ! It equals the idea that if you are “human” you are a “secular humanist” ...
Further more you are making a huge assumption when you say I am among the sheep that would not could not will not ask for/ work for/ start a revolution....nationalize oil and make me stand in a line for gas (as they do in all nationalized country's) and you will be amazed at how fast the next American revolution gets started!

Stop trying to justify your faults Tom. If I am liberal your a hard leaning left wing kook!

How funny it is that your realizing your a marxist socialist that knows everything bad in America has come from a liberal. Seriously Tom if you were ever to say something like that to my face I would grab you by your little wrestling spandex and give you the wedgey of your life!

Yeah? So? Most normal people, despite which way on the political scale they claim to lean, share a few views from the opposition. The only people I've ever seen who's scales completely tip to one side, whether liberal or conservatives, are complete nutjobs.

I bet there's just a little bit of conservatism in you, Tom. I couldn't help but notice that you didn't mention that. It runs both ways.

...Candy shows the big drawback to a revolution, I would be hoping for bloodless cue but most people use it as an excuse for violence and bring underlying prejudice to the uprising.
I still say it is a bad definition of the political concept “liberal” and it even infringes on another points (falsely) in the four corner political definition chart ...it is very inconsistent to have both the liberal intrusion of government into our personal lives and freedom of expression.

JD you are right and wrong at the same time Liberal and conservative are not precisely “mortal enemies” it is Libertarian and Stateist who are enemies ...the concept of “hating” liberals or “cons” comes from how conservatism leads to and support libertarianism and liberalism supports Stateism...
You can't have a large or “liberal” expansion of government and its power into our lives and not call it stateism

Whatever Swan said. Speak for yourself,
Jag-Boy! Go back to your know-it-all-A/C-controlled office, where you, and only you truly knows the "Real American People," while "we dimwits" here at FOX are just blow-up dummies, commenting for YOUR ego, mindlessly retorting to your egotistical rhetoric.

Christ was the first unabashed social liberal. It's the command to "love your neighbor as yourself" part, that puts RWNJ's into such a tizzie.

If you consider yourself a Christian, ask "What would Christ Do?", when you talk about medical care, housing, feeding, and our obligation to care for those who are suffering. Are you a hypocrite?

Statism is a new one for me RNC. Did you just make it up like you do with most of the "facts" you quote?

What this country need is a Liberterian who is not a kook. Ron Paul is the closest I've seen but he's a little nutty at times himself.

"love your neighbor as yourself"

NO Liberal would EVER be treated in the SAME manner as the people they put into the Welfare Slavery System..They think they're too good for THAT..

Christ would TEACH a person HOW to better themselves as a CONSERVATIVE would..NOT to beg at the feet of the GOVERNMENT as the ROMAN Liberals did..We KNOW this by the examples set forth in the Cronicles of his life..

Christ PREACHED,,and LIVED by Example,, the reality of the absolute nature of right and wrong..He particularty ABHORED the concept and PRATICE of right and wrong being MERELY a Matter of Opinion..AGAIN,,We KNOW this by the Biblical accounts of HIS life..

It would SEEM to ME that Liberals know as LITTLE of the Life and times of Jesus Christ as they DO the wants and desires of the American People..

As USUAL..it seems..

Liberals can NEVER tell the difference between the way things ARE and the way that THEY want them to be..

The feeding of the 5,000 was a handout, a free meal and nothing was required in return.

Conditions are not placed on "loving your neighbor" or feeding and clothing the poor, not by Christians anyway,...if someone is hungry, you feed them..period..

Hawkeye read my blog

First of all,,the Feeding of the Multitudes had NOTHING to do with "taking Care of the Poor" anymore then catering to a Main Event is today..

"The feeding of the 5,000 was a handout, a free meal and nothing was required in return."

EXACTLY right.. ONE free meal with NO requirements,, ALREADY you have taken THAT event out of the Pervue of the Liberal..

There were NO requirements and it was NOT repeated day after day until the populace was "programmed "into becoming completely dependent on it..

THANKS for proving my point...

Here's my point:
ALL of us have liberal viewpoints. And ALL of us have conversative viewpoints. You can not paint someone with just one brush, and some of you do, beyond fault. There's plenty of conversatives I respect, and there's plenty of liberals I respect. Hate the man, don't have the party.

A "liberal" is someone who has an engaged brain, capable of reaching a logical decision without the "guidance" of a radio or tv shill, who is paid to perform the task of blabbering endless drivel in support of government censorship and oppression of the rights we have fought for for the past 225 years.

A "liberal" calls the bluff of those mental midgets who manufacture false facts or believe the deceit, lies and misinformation of the right wing Falwellians and Robertsonians.

A "liberal" has new ideas and generally does not suffer fools lightly...i.e. the inherent conflict between "clear thinking liberals" and RWNJ BBL'ers.

A "liberal" is in favor of change if it for the positive.

Summed up : being a "liberal" is a good thing.

Not being a "liberal" is akin to living in a cave and subsisting on pig fat and acorns.

The labels "conservatives," "liberals," "republicans," "democrats," and "socialists" are all very useful in controlling/manipulating the masses of people in our country and they are being spread to other parts of the world as quickly as possible. Keep the folks bickering so that they don't address the real issues very often.

That is one of the things that happened during the oil crisis in the early to mid-seventies. As a result we didn't do much to lessen the strangle hold that the Arabs had on us at that time. In fact, we have increased the strangle hold so that they may ultimately be able to influence our foreign policy as they were trying to do back at that time. The American people and politicians didn't really want to address the issues. They were too busy hammering away at the political differences and missteps by Nixon, Ford, etc.

BTW, I found the comment about loving thy neighbor as thyself interesting. I once made a concentrated effort to do that and it was working out pretty well until my "neighbor's" husband objected. I guess that no matter what you try to do, there will always be someone who objects.

Can you imagine what shape this country would be in if our leaders all shared the same morals, ethics and politics?
Bad shape.
Democracy works because checks and balances. We need the conversatives. We need the liberals. There has to be checks and balances in place. Otherwise, it'd be a dictatorship, my friends.
