That's right.

Actor George Takei, better known as Mr. Sulu in Star Trek, is marrying his long-time lover, Brad.

That's right, I said, Brad. It's not a typo. I didn't mean to say, Barb.

If you haven't heard, gay marriage is legal now in California. I know the gay bashers and homophobes are going nuts. To them, I say, it's none of your business, frankly.

I mean, really, why should any of us give a rat's rump what two people in love do. Even if they happen to be of the same sex.

I didn't say raise children together. That's another blog.

What say you?

Ok lets start off with me saying I am not gay. NOW I think it is wonderful that Captian Sulu is tying the knot. 21 years is a very long time to be together and NOT be MARRIED. It is about time that this country casts off their ignorance and says if these people wish to be married and be *itched at by their spouse then by all means let them enjoy marrage. I am happy for George. I hope he has a HAPPY AND LONG MARRIAGE!

I am soooo sorry.. (chuckling) but I still crenge and laugh when I see them hug and kiss when the "Priest" ( and I use Priest word sparringly). It is gross when the guys go at with the mustashs and worse when the chicks consist of one hot one and one Fat and Man looking one with the short butch haircut. I am sorry, I will get over that, but it is funny. I dare not go to Disney Gay day.. or I will bust a gut. It is funny. Being as shallow as I am.. it is hot when it is 2 hot girls.... HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA

I think they do themselves injustice in those flaming gay parades in San Fran and other places with sick sick behavior and dress. (Isnt Sodomy against the Law? just asking) THat is why TOm.

Well there goes Star Trek

The reason alot of people are against gays and gay marriage is due to their religious beliefs. As stated in the bible "Man shall take a Woman to be his wife" and being gay is against Gods word.
Another old saying" God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve".
But ok I agree to each their own but in MY opinion its wrong.

"i'm firing the torpedoes"
"Damn it Jim, I told you he was gay!!"

How did I guess that Tom would support homosexual "marriage"? Notice he immediately labels anyone who supports traditional marriage as a gay basher or a homophobe.

Women and men have destroyed traditional marriage anyways. Hows a few gay people going to make it worse. Myself I probably lean twords more civil unions rather than marriage itself.

Sailor:
Don you know how to read?
I didn't say I support anything. I merely said I could care less what two adults do as long as they're not hurting anybody.

Sailor, you never have an opinion. All you do is come in this room and tear me apart. At least I have the guts to say what's on my mind. Time for this sailor to go to sea and come back with something original.

If you are gay, and you marry in a state where it is legal, and you live in a state where it is not, are you still going to have the privileges of the marriage or not? I'm only asking, because I noticed two of the men getting married live in Texas. If this isn't law in Texas, then Texas isn't going to support the marriage. Right?

Gammies61~

Its not really a marriage like we know it, its a Civil Union. Same-sex couples be granted marriage licenses under the "common benefits" clause.

Tom, it's because all you do is bob and weave, denying over and over you are political, yet blogging the vehement left wing, anti Christian/traditional values mantra. Calling people who oppose traditional marriage gay bashers and homophobes makes your position very, very clear to anyone reading. You advocate support for homosexual marrige- it's so transparent. Just making sure people reading your missives see your agenda. I do have opinions- strong ones- just ask some of the law enforcement or motorcyclist members here......

I try not to inject my opinion too much because I'm more concerned about what the people are saying. Really, who gives a rat's rump about my opinion, sailor?

...the roast was good but the gay jokes fell kind of flat, I think the biggest lose with all the acceptance of “gays” is the comedy factor...wonder who we will find to pick on now ?

Tom says- "Really, who gives a rat's rump about my opinion, sailor?"
Actually, a lot of people. You are a highly visible on air personality. Admit it or not, that gives your words extra credence with this audience. Most of the other on air staff at Fox35 understand that, and are (mostly) neutral on here. I may not like you (is it obvious?), others may grovel at your feet, doesn't matter. At the end of the day it is your (ie Fox35's) board, so you can do as you please. That's the way it works.

The best Part? Twenty-seven states have passed constitutional amendments banning same-sex marriages and next November, Florida could become the 28th.

But backers of the amendment shouldn’t expect Florida voters, most of whom do not approve of gay marriage, to be exercised about this issue during an election year in which there are so many other important matters to talk about.

Gay marriage is last season’s politics.

Besides, Florida already has a law outlawing marriage between people of the same sex, so formalizing a ban in the state constitution hardly merits front-burner status.

Florida law says a marriage made somewhere else between persons of the same sex is “not recognized for any purpose in this state.” The language is clear.

Plus, there’s the Defense of Marriage Act, the federal law that says states don’t have to recognize gay marriages from other states. That law protects Florida, if the state needs protection, just as it does the other 49.

Remember, my friend, this is just a blog. Not an aired TV report. This is my blog. We share opinions. That's it. They're my opinions. Not WOFL or FOX NEWS. And, I don't expect everyone to like my opinions. We share. We agrue. We tolerate. That's what makes the world go round.
At ease, sailor.
