I've been watching the progress of this bill that looks to be another one
of those "must pass" bills, and they even went so far as to include a "Myths
and Facts" explanation at some point, contradicting the contents of the
law, much like the Myths and Facts page of the SPP contradict the wording and
goals of the North American Union.

5Right
below this horrific bill is a section called "Votes on Passage" and is
why I
love this site for what it offers. When you view votes, you can see
who in
your state voted for it, and those who voted against it, and those
not
present because they were either campaigning or not available.
What makes this bill truly dangerous, besides the
obvious, to be identified
and targeted for what we think about doing and
standing for, is the broad
based blanket statement on the reasoning for this
bill right under the
title. "To prevent homegrown terrorism, and for other
purposes." The last
four of those words in that statement would literally
give the Department of
Homeland Security unlimited power over the American
population even more so
than they have even now, which I thought wasn't
possible.
"and for other purposes" shouldn't be allowed in ANY law what
so ever, as
each law should have a clear and binding definition over what it
does, and
not left to subjective determination by whomever sees fit to bend
the law to
their own agenda.
Here is an article written in January of
2008 in response to this bill, and
by the way, is 100 percent spot
on.

This bill targets people like us, and if it gets passed into law, the final
nail
in the coffin for our Freedoms will be hammered in. Spread the word, I
would reccomend opposing this bill to your represenatives in letters or
calls to their offices in your respective states. While I feel
that
opposing it wouldn't matter much, it would get shoved down our throats
anyways like they did the renewing of the Patriot Act, we might as well get
our say in while we can, before we get put on the TALON (Threat And Local
Observation List) ourselves.
