That bastion of liberal thinking, Lou Dobbs is calling for Bush's head over the recent salmonella outbreak. What do you think?

“You know, I have heard a lot of reasons over the years as to why George W. Bush should be impeached,” Dobbs said. “For them to leave the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in this state, its leadership in this sorry condition and to have no capacity apparently or will to protect the American consumer – that is alone to me sufficient reason to impeach a president who has made this agency possible and has ripped its guts out in its ability to protect the American consumer.”

“It’s insane what’s going on here,” said a visibly angry Dobbs. “Is there any sense of embarrassment on the part of the leadership of that agency?”

On June 18, Dobbs called the FDA “excessively intellectually challenged.” The night before he called the FDA “moronic.”

“The FDA, led by complete moronic, unengaged incompetents,” Dobbs said on his June 17 broadcast. “The idea that they would sit there and say that they’re not going to reveal where a cluster of this outbreak occurred, this is arrogant beyond belief. Who in the world do these idiots think they are? Who do they think they’re working for?”

He also implicated Bush in that tirade: “As for this administration, were a responsible president at the helm of this country, I would wonder why he is not taking action, but then again, this is of course his FDA and his legacy.”

His FEMA responded wonderfully well also, as did his CIA and FBI. His energy department has been right on top of the oil crisis and this FAA has allowed the airlines to use and abuse passengers with impunity.

Not to mention the non-regulation of the lending industry and of the big brokerage houses.

We don't even need to talk about Iraq, do we?

The "bucks stops" on Dumbo's desk.

I agree with Lou, one of the "straight thinking" voices on the tube.

You're right! It's ALL his fault, all by his wrinkled-foreheaded-self, that 9/11 happened, too; because after-all IT WAS an inside job! He also mixed up Katrina in a gigantic Kitchen Aid Mixer in the sky, and directed it exactly toward "Nawlins"! He also created, all by his "wittle" self, AIDS, Salmonella, and Herpes! (ssshhh, don't tell anyone!)

Come on now YD!!! Everyone knows the democrats in congress are to blame for all our problems. Harry Reid & Nancy Pelosi had to have a hand in those rotten tomatoes.

It's NO coincidence that the problems have been magnified geometrically SINCE the Democrats came into Power..

King George III = American Revolution
Pres. George II = American ??????????

In all fairness the only thing he hasn't screwed up is Military Defense. Of course thats enough for me to support him, but you do kinda wish he'd get on the right side of Illegal Immigration and a few other issues.

I never cated much for Him or his Old Man both of them seem elitist to me and I dispise the type.

Great idea, Todd! We could start a new trend,
the "Blame Everything on George" trend! My kid got an "F" in Algebra, oh hell, that was George's fault! My washing machine took a dump, well, that was George's fault, too...

I blame both federal and state. The states along the borders aren't doing their jobs, the feds are doing their jobs...they must be named Courious George! It would seem that imports are going unsensored and inspected...but of course how would George know unless he was told?

All to funny , but would it not be wise to find a way in witch George W actually changed the FDA before pointing the finger ? Or is this yet another “we like the way it sounds so we are going to go on saying it without foundation” ...just like the “popular” fiction about the FEAM response to Katrina , it was not the federal team that demanded no one enter NO to help! And for this administration to be guilty of something they would have to have changed the regulations or cut the budget...that did not happen...so its just another baseless lark ...

I was waiting for someone to bring up the hamburger out break under Clinton , or show me an action taken by Bush that weakened the FDA ?
Hey Hawk do you have a link to that blog about Bush being responsible for our moral decay ...should be good for a laugh ...I mean really , in the last administration we shifted to the point where our teens don't consider oral sex sex and anal sex does not count against virginity...and add to that the statement by Obama in Michigan that people who cling to religion are stupid...so who is wagging a war on morality ? LOL

Moral decay is BS and its one of those non-issues used to distract us from what really matters. BJ's by overweight interns in the Oval Office do not concern me in the slightest. I know there was plenty of blame to go around with Katrina. Contary to what Bush says Brownie did not do a hell of a job. I also know the FDA has put the well being of Big Pharma over our best interest time after time. This is nothing new though. Is the Prez a really bad CEO that deserves an early golden parachute or does Dobbs just have a hard-on for him?

Dobbs has had a "Hard on for Bush",, as you put it,, ever since the Issue of the Illegal Invaders and the efforts to Legalized them came into play..THIS was exacerbated by the arrest and prosecution of those two border Patrol Agents for only doing their job at the time..

I happen to be on DOBBS side on THAT one..I have ALWAYS said that THIS was the ONLY legitimate reason for Impeaching Bush in his two terms as President..The Problem IS that IF that should have come to pass you'd have to do the SAME thing with at LEAST 3/4 of our Leadership in Washington on BOTH sides of the aisle,,INCLUDING those who would have been tasked to sit in Judgement in this matter..

You'd almost HAVE to be older then 30 to fully appreciate the Moral Decline and decay that has wracked this country in just MY Lifetime..
If you were born on the day Clinton came into office you'd be about 16 now..add another ten to twelve years of childhood where you don't pay all that much attention to such things and there you have it..

Hawk,
One mans idea of moral decay is another mans idea of fun! Clinton is not the only Prez to have a little oval office hanky panky. He should have just owned up to it. "I did not have sex with that women" what a crock! And don't think for a second that the dems have a lock on moral decay. Mark Foley, Rev Ted Haggard, Larry Craig, Bob Allen, Glenn Murphy...this is just the outed gay repubs, not to mention the straight up pervs in the GOP ranks. You certainly are right though about 3/4 (at least) of the turds we have in DC deserving the boot.

The contamination of tomatoes is probably due to the increasing number of illegals that are employed to drive trucks containing tomato shipments.

Those trucks are filled with green tomatoes and methane gas is used to turn them red when they need to be red. The trucks then should be cleaned before the next shipment. Notice that the warnings said that tomatoes still on the vine were safe. Tomatoes being shipped to market have been picked and are not on the vine.

Like me, Lou Dobbs is frustrated with the impotence and squandering of this WHitehouse. We saw it with Clinton and I never dreamed Bush would be as bad in that. THe FDA and other departments stink.

One of the most difficult things that ANY President faces when taking office comes NOT so much from the Congress as from the CARREER people in Government..

The President may appoint the HEADS of these Departments but those appointees are MERELY extentions of the Presidency..NOT a Truly Funtioning part of the Department itself..In fact,, Often,,such appointees amount to little more then fulfilling the role of a spy for the President..Sure,,THEY give orders and those orders are received with a hearty “Yessir” but they are promptly ignored if they run contrary to Department Policy or tradition..

There are essentially TWO schools of thought going on in Washington..
The ELECTED officials who believe that THEY have control by virtue of the Electorate and the CARREER officials who believe that THEY have control by virtue of their longevity..

It is Common to hear the Carreer official say that they have worked under X number of administrations,, that they come and go and that Washington runs NOT upon the Shoulders of the Politician but upon the dedication of it’s CARREER Employees..SOME have EVEN expressed a belief that the President works for THEM..ADD to that the dichotomy often encountered in political philosophies and one can readilly see why it often seems that Government Departments OFTEN appear to work AGAINST an elected Administration..

SUCH is Life in the POLITICAL City of Washington DC…

BTW Jim

FIRST of all,,Despite ALL investegations, Mark Foley was NEVER charged with a SEX crime..HIS despicable situation involved someone of LEGAL age and there was NO Physical Contact with the person of interrest..
And he was STILL run out of Office..
NOT so with Studds who,,despite the COMMON knowledge of HIS ILLEGAL activities involving multiple PHYSHICAL contacts with UNDERAGED victims and who then went on to complete an uninterrupted CARREER in politics until the DAY of his Death.

Craig,,who faced charges for tapping his foot in a bathroom never pled guilty to ANYTHING more serious then “Disorderly Conduct”,, the SAME charge faced by the “French Fry Grandma” here in Tampa and can result from MERELY protesting his innocence to the police..HE gets criticized by Barny Frank,, an individual who slid out from under charges of running a house of prostitution involving MINORS out of his townhouse..

The SAME Barny Frank,, I might add,, who as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee,, refuses even to entertain the possibility of opening an investigation into this newest of Scandals coming out of the Democrat Congress and being BURIED by the MSM..The Country Wide Scandal..

There’s a REASON why you hear so much about Republicans being involved in these things,,

It IS,, as I have ALWAYS said,, THAT which gets a Republican thrown out of oiffice and OFTEN behind BARS,, gets a DEMOCRAT PROMOTED..

Yes that is the wonderful Mrs. TavaresJim featured on my avatar. I am truly blessed with a wonderful life. Lived in Tavares since 1975. It was a great place to grow up...now there are just too many people!!! 44yrs old, married for 23 years. 21yr old son & 14 yr old daughter. Business owner trying to live the American Dream. Kinda tough though with the idiots we have running things. My current favorite bumper sticker saying: "George Bush & Congress, bringing the 3rd world to your neighborhood". I follow no party lines when it comes to issues and I don't trust those that do. I like to make up my own mind about things.
