We're running the entire speech from Denver right now. what do you think of the prose? did he accomplish what he set out to do? was it all just rhetoric, or did he give enough specifics?

BTW, what did you think of the set now that you've seen it in full glory?

He was very good to his point on how he would fix our problems. He had some great lines and I think his plan is the right one after hearing it. Maybe McCain will stop running attack ads and say what he plans, I still haven't heard one of his plans. My favorite lines were "In 10 years, i will see to it that our country is no longer depindent of mid-east oil." "Eight years is enough", "I will go after the real terrorist" and "John McCain said he would follow Osama Bin Laden to the gates of hell. John McCain won't even follow Osama Bin Laden to the cave he lives in!"

He appeals to people who want form over substance, who don't care what he does, because they are satisfied with the promises.

Keep in mind that this guy is a VERY close friend of some VERY radical left wingers, like William Ayers, who believe that the American people are stupid sheep who need to be lied to.

If you look at his speech, Obama doesn't actually say how he'll DO anything, he just promises that it will be done.

I thought he was one of the best speakers I've ever heard in my life. The words and the message were brilliantly presented. He left you feeling like you got the answers you were looking for. But when you go back and listen again you see you were given many great ideas cloaked as if they were actual plans. He will cut taxes by 95% and at the same time add program after program to help the people. How does one pay for these programs?

What I saw was more of the same. Where is this "change" I was promised?

The Speech was written FOR him and read off a teleprompter..

The ONLY thing the man ever said that was the truth was that HE doesn;t LOOK like the guys on the Dollar Bills..HIS words ,, NOT mine..

EVERYTHING else about him is Regurgitated Liberal Socialism...

The last half of Obama's speech presented ways in which he was going to accomplish the goals outlined in the 1st half of his speech. Just a few of his many examples: stop sending jobs/money overseas, create new jobs w/what's called the "green economy". Green economy relates to jobs/industries developed to produce, design, etc. alternative energy. Stop giving the oil industries tax breaks. End the war in Iraq responsibly. That alone would save $10 billion a month. As I said, this is just a few of the many ideas he outlined in his speech.

ROF!! Yea.. we can't drill out way out of our energy crisis, but we can legislate our way out? I am DYING to hear the details on this one! If Obama has a plan via his crystal ball or whatever, then he should win this election hands down!

But exactly how do you plan on legislating us away from Oil it you intend on DOUBLING the taxes on business?

Those folks in small business that earn 250K or more do it by working alot more than 8 hour days! THIS is EXACTLY why Socialism fails! Eventually people just won't work for free! Business will just close because it cheaper, instead of beign penalized for hard work they will just sit at home and watch the mailbox for the check from the Govt.

Abunai...You're like your father, John McCain...you don't get it. Obama's greatest feat was acknowledging the obsolete trickle down affect theory. How this theory can't work when big oil keeps all the money. I understand the fear of change because I'm a therapist. I teach people how there is a choice between change and continued destruction. However, many of them fight with tooth and nails to stay the same. They don’t any difference and they’re very fearful that they’ll not get there needs met. Subsequently, I’ve learned over the years that I can’t help everybody.

Abunai…you might be one of those people who is fearful of change and can’t be help.

Anyone can read a speech. Let's see how "Chatty Cathy" does in the debates without a teleprompter.

yeah, he'll have to memorize all the "...uh...um....er...I think that..."

That's why he's avoided debates; he'd have to use his own brain.
