we're likely a couple weeks away from hearing who McCain and Obama will pick as runningmates.

anyone want to place odds. I just read how Mitt Romney's stock is rising on the GOP side...or what about Charlie? (I think Mitt's summer tan may out-bronze our Governor) or will Crist's wedding plans help him get on the ticket?

as for Obama, I really don't think he'll pick Hillary, because then he'd have to deal with Bill. One name now being vetted is Senator Chris Dodd. I think I'd still put my bet on soneone like Biden or Warner from Virgina.

I have no clue about the republican pick , if its a money thing Charley is the pick but Mitt could pull the age thing back into line.
As far as Obama's pick I don't think Hillary will even consider the position she is already running for 2012 and knows that Obama would/will destroy her plans , she will start distancing herself from him as soon as she can. Warner ? Did you hit your head ? Obama and the closes thing to a moderate democrat left in this country ....not in this life time ! Dobb sounds likely he is just as nuts as Obama.

I am hoping McCain picks Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal, or Duncan Hunter.

I will settled for SARAH....BUT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE RUDY GUILIANI...I think Rudy is head strong on war and foreign affairs and IMO...THAT'S WHAT WE NEED......not gender....

Obama should pick my English Bulldog so that at least there would be some "intelligence" on the Dems. side!

McCain needs a true Rep. like Romney on his side so that Republicans will want to even vote. Romney can help this economy. His business background of turning large companies around will be a great asset to this country.

Let's see....

Hillary for VP? No, Bill's a problem. If Hillary is smart, she should begin distancing herself as RNC08 has suggested.

Dodd for VP? No, his numbers are down due to a "questionable" real estate deal. Obama has a "questionable" real estate deal as well. Maybe if Obama doesn't win (GOD willing), he and Dodd could form their own real estate agency. (that is if the Senate Ethics Committee investigating Obama doesn't ruin his real estate career)

English Bulldog for VP? toddt's got it right.
The dog would give them some "intelligence" on the Dem's side--probably too much for any Democrat to handle, however.

Mitt or Charlie for VP? Mitt's got the business experience and money--excellent combination. Charlie? Maybe, but, in my opinion, not enough national exposure.

Bobby Jindal would scare the daylights out of the Dems--this man means business! Go Bobby!

We need a candidate for VP who will stand up and be noticed. It is time for Republicans to be heard LOUD AND CLEAR throughout America.
