I got my first taste of watching MMA, or Mixed Martial Arts, this weekend. I watched a little of the Saturday night fights on another network. I've never been a big boxing fan or seen much UFC or other MMA fights. but there were some ver y good athletes and a couple great matches that I saw. It wasn't the bloody, all-out brawl I've always heard of....although there were some good shots landed and some blood.

Any other MMA fans out there? Why do you like it and which league/fighters are your favorite?

I've been watching World Extreme Cagefighting(WEC) on VS(Verses). They had a live showing this past Sunday Night with 3 title matches on the card. There is a encore airing on this Wednesday Night at 10pm. Urijah Faber, Featherwight Champion is a buzz saw. This ain't your Dad's pro wrestling or boxing. I haven't seen one in person yet, but what I've seen on tv, it's not fake.

I love the UFC and WEC.
I heard there is a new league starting on NBC. Is that true?
I cant belive Urijah Faber was able to beat Jens Pulver.
Little Evil didnt look so evil. He totally looked like he was throwing the fight. Not to take away anything from the California Kid.

He got lucky and popped dudes cauliflower ear...
He was rocked the round before and if he got caught on the ground again he wouldn't be undefeated anymore!!!

Fedor Emelianenko snubbed the UFC and went to the Russian owned M-1 fight league.
Sure hope it works out for him there.
Dana White needs to be careful on how he is conducting business with his star and draw fighters. They are leaving to other organizations when the contratcs are up.
I still like the UFC best.
A few of us are going to BWW to watch UFC fight tomorrow.
