Governor Crist is in Arizona this weekend at a friendly BBQ at John McCain's place. Other possible V.P. candidates are also there.

Do you think having our Governor running for the #2 job will be good for FL? What shot does he have of landing on the ticket? Is there a better choice? Does McCain even need Crist as VP to win Florida?

and while we're at it...assuming Obama wraps up the nomination, who should he pick?

I watched Foxs News Sunday this morning and caught the discussion. Jindal,Romney, and I believe Rudy were present as well. I've heard good comments about Jindal here in the blogs. I myself would lean towards Romney. Whatever comes of the weekend meeting McCain is reported to be expected as being closed lip about the whole affair. I'd kinda like to see him tip his hand. I'm neither impressed or fond of McCain, but I believe him the best choice that we now have. I wish the primaries would have gone differently. Oh-well.

If McCain is elected, the VP is crucial and must be evaluated as if he were a Presidential candidate, simply because of McCain's age and the visible wear and tear of even this mild run for the Oval Office.
Crist should prove himself capable of doing something for the state before being consider for the nation.
Most Floridians are not pleased with the results here.
Romney was the worst governor.
He is also the biggest liar and grossly misrepresents himself to the public.
First he ran an AMNESTY STATE FOR ILLEGAL INVADERS!
He changed his tune when it was politically expedient!
When he ran businesses, profits suffered and layoffs were astoundingly high.
He claims victories where there was abject failure!
He promised Detroit to increase corporate aid from $4 billion to $20 billion, then didn't even wait to get elected to break that promise--later in the week, he said that the $20 billion was for all green stuff or something.
McCain needs someone wonderful.

Oh, Romney, as governor of MA, businesses left, unemployment increased, revenue went down.
He was a disaster as a governor and just reinvents history and FOOLS people!
Check it out before you back this one!

All Red Herrings...I'd bet a paycheck it won't be any of them. I'm still pulling for the govenor of Alaska.

As for Obama...why not Rev Wright??? He continues to be his advisor anyway, just below the radar.

Alaska?

I still think Condi Rice might be in the mix for VP...even if she says she doesn't want the job.

you could also make a case for Sen. Lieberman.

Best thing that could happen to us. Charlie for Veep? Great. Get him out of Florida, he's a liberal in republican clothing anyway.

Of those being talked about, I like Jindal the best. I also like Sarah Palin (gov. of Alaska), too. She's got her head screwed on straight and is an actual conservative.

Crist's tan will keep him from being taken seriously. He has been trying real hard and maybe he can overcome the handicap with some make-up.

It is interesting that he would like to leave Florida, the land of his dreams. Maybe he knows how screwed-up things are as a result of politics.

Well, I don't see Charlie Crist as a good candidate for that position sorry..for what I've seen here..HE REALLY DOESN'T belong over there. I would have loved Condi, as you so sweetly named her..and I am shocked I thought people would be more open to Rommney...guess we will have to see.

Crist has done well as a big fish in a small pond, but he would not do well as a small fish in a big pond.
