I can now buy gas under $3.00 a gallon again. I never thought I'd be happy about seeing $2.95 gas.

I can still remember paying 79 cents a gallon once. some of you probably remember it much cheaper.

how long does it have to stay above $3 for that to be the new normal?

I remember when it was 39 cents a gallon...
Fox left the following message in my blog, is this still a possibility?

"Yes, prices have dropped a bit..but just wait. A cyclone is hitting the persian gulf. Check our business and news tab for the full article:

"Oil traders tracked the course of the storm as it veered northward toward Iran and the Strait of Hormuz — the world's most important crude oil tanker route.

the storm could cause disruptions in oil shipments through the strait. About one fifth of the world's oil passes through the narrow waterway at the southeastern entrance to the Persian Gulf."

I think the media is really blowing up the whole gas price thing. If you think about it everytime you fill up it costs you 10-15 or even 20 bucks more to fill up. So if you fill up once a week we are talking 60-80 bucks extra a month. I don't think that is what kills people. I think if you have been grocery shopping lately...that is what adds up. Lemons were 75 cents each....not long ago they were 4,5 & 6 for a dollar??? Add that up with all the groceries you have to buy to feed 2,3,4,5, even 6 people in a household and that is where the gas prices HIT HARD!!!!

I would not get to comfortable with the under $3.00 price... it's going to be short lived and may last through the month... however we have raising tensions with Iran and hurricane season is aproaching prime.

Just keep in mind - Al Gore in his book 'Earth in the Balance' demanded that gas had to be $5/gallon in order to encourage alternative energy exploration.

And the Dem's seem to want him to run again.

I paid $2.79 per gallon 6/13/2007 at the Wal-Mart on 535.

I want to see Al Gore RUN, too. Just as long as he keeps on running until he is out of the country!!
