My granddaughter came to me posing a very interesting question today.  Why is it - on the Nickelodeon Channel - are McCain adds shown only and never Obama.  I thought that to be a really good question!  I do know that Obama is paying for his own channel - a channel that is - a paid advertisement.  How many times are we - forced to watch paid advertising channels - segments if you will - that we can't stand?  Products offered - that maybe 8 out of 10 times don't work and are not worth the money?!!

The only other places I do see Obama commercials from time to time are on the regular standard channels - ABC - NBC - and CBS and that's about it.

After thinking about this - I have come to the conclusion that Obama is not targeting the - family - structure and that his adds are only about himself - Obama.  Is it that Obama loves to hear himself just talk and talk and talk all about the same thing which is - empty promises?  Why might you ask that I say that?  I call them empty promises - it's because every four years the Presidential Campaign always promises the same thing every time.  We need to ask ourselves why?  Why - it's because once in office - it's determined that the empty promises are just that - empty promises to get us all pumped up because they cannot be fulfilled.  How many times are we going to keep falling for the same speeches?  How long has Obama been in office - and what laws has he helped to pass that really tried to help the U.S. - none - just like the rest of the Democratic office that's been sitting up there for a couple of years - earning money for absolutely doing nothing at all!

So my ending thoughts on this excellent question brought to me by a young girl - leaves me with the thinking that McCain is for the American Family of all walks of life  - and - Obama is not and does not care about the children of the U.S nor the family structure.

What are your thoughts about this interesting question from a 10 year old child who does ask questions about politics and what it will mean to her now and in the future?

And if you have children - do you discuss politics with them and if so - how do you describe what's going on in our World Today?

Funny how a 10 yearold can see this but so called (grown adults) can be blinded by the pretty lights of nothing more than a empty suit celeberty.

The president is only a figurehead. The true power lies with congress. A very good friend told me once that the only job requirement to become a politician is the ability to lie to the publics face and be able to smile at the same time.
My teen daughter asked some interesting questions the other day about the up comming elections. It is totally amazing that when I really think about it, some of the kids today might be able to do a better job running the country than the so called educated adults that do.

Obama wants to be an emperor, not president....he's so in love with himself...well, just look at his photos; always gazing off, with a finger pointed, as if he's pointing to a new world from the bow of a ship (only with him, it will be the Titanic II).

I saw the same garage on Nickeloden with my son. It has no business on there; however, they do the same commerical for McCain, as Obamnuts. Neither should be on a young child's channel.

I thought they were both on there yesterday answering questions from kids?

I don't have kids, but my parents started teaching me about polictics when they felt I was old enough to understand (age 11). And since, they've told me more and more about the system really works. Things only those in D.C. know...it's actually a bit scary.

Nightmare I agree with you. I believe our system is a little more complex than people give it credit for. There is a lot more however underneath the surface than we will ever be allowed to know. That in itself I suppose could be a good thing.

Cynpro - you're right they were - however all of the commericals other than to announce they would be answering questions from the children - is only adds that had to do with McCain. My thoughts on that - which my granddaughter pointed out - were thoughts of hmmm - that's interesting. And even though the question segment is over - still the only paid adds on this station that I see are from McCain only.

Obama's campaign may have noticed how politics
(when brought to schools) can be disruptive.

I don't know CynPro if I completely agree with that or if that could be a cop out - if both sides are willing to put on a "question and answer" show for them on Nickelodeon - then in high schools - there should be a time to where discussion of Politics can take place. As our high school children are graduating - it wouldn't hurt for them to learn more about the world around them especially since they are to become - as they would say - responsible voters.

Maybe in an honors class, but not in general classes.
Too many students are too immature to debate in a civil manner.
Children are in school to learn necessary skills,
not to fight with classmates about politics.
Immature/unbalanced children might kill a child
who held opposing views. Not safe a safe subject.

Truly annoyed - well I need to update this as I have found some really good people to debate with on this site - so to correct myself - it's not so annoying after all. :)
