NIFONG IS ALL WRONG!

Former Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong,  appears in superior court for a motions hearing in Durham, N.C., Thursday, July 26, 2007. Nifong acknowledged Thursday there is "no credible evidence" that three Duke lacrosse players committed any of the crimes he accused them of more than a year ago, offering for the first time a complete and unqualified apology. 

 Looks like disbarred former D.A. Mike Nifong has changed his looks, (colors?) and although this is clearly a face of contrition, frankly, “I’m saw-wee boyz” just doesn’t seem to cut-it!  Even O. J. Simpson was afforded the presumption of innocence!  From the beginning, the case was dubious at best, but Nifong used this travesty of justice to gain political capital in the Black community in his successful re-election campaign.  Remember the pompous, bathrobe-clad arrogance Nifong exhibited in the face of significant exculpatory evidence?  Where do the Duke Lacrosse players go to “get their good names back?”  I say in addition to disbarment, he joins the ranks of other criminals....behind bars!

Far as I'm concerned,,He's NO worse then Fitzgerald who kept an Investegation alive for THREE YEARS past the time when HE KNEW there was NOTHING to Investegate JUST so HE could PRODUCE a Process crime by tripping Libby up..

I STILL say that ANYBODY who knows EXACTLY Everybody that they talked to THREE YEARS AGO and remembers EXACTLY everything they said TO EACH PERSON is a better person then ANYBODY that I ever knew...

D.A.s in this country are out of control. The entire Justice system is broken. I'll add Johnny Sutton to the list along with Nifong and Fitzgerald. Let me submit this to you. The only reason Nifong apologized is because some political advisor told him that if he ever wanted to get his political career back on track he'd better act like he's sorry. Americans seem to be willing to forgive anyone of anything as long as they say they're sorry.

It has a PROFOUND effect in the Courtroom too...Appearances are EVERYTHING..ANY lawyer will tell you it's Better to be remorseful when the evidence is THAT strong then it is to be Defiant..Well,, They'll either tell you THAT or they'll give YOU a coloring book to play with during the trial.,..

In my opinion, he can never undo the wrong he has caused those three boys. He also cast a very black mark on the university which cannot be errased. All of his possessions should be auctiond off with 100% of the proceeds going equally to the three victims. Then, he should be made to spend eternity in a 6 x 8 cell with the stripper that caused all of this problem by lying. Neither of them should ever see the light of day again. I guess I will never be elected as a judge but I wish more judges would take my attitude.

oldvamp,I pretty much agree with one exception. I wouldn't keep Nifong in a cell all day long. I would let him do 8-10 hrs. a day hard labour, outside,and in the sun. Lawyers fear hard labor and sweat more than almost anything else !

Why shouldn't KNIFE-LONG get away with it??? Al Sharpton did in the Tawana Brawley case!!! And Sharpton still runs his mouth like he's saying anything anybody wants to hear!! :/

I think that Mr. Wilfong will enjoy prison life, and who knows? maybe he'll meet someone real SPECIAL or maybe he'll be lucky enough to meet ALOT of new friends he can wash socks for, and OTHER things!
