I just bought my wife a Flexfuel vehicle. I'd like to buy Ethanol if I can but I can't seem to find anywhere to get it. Anyone seen it in Orlando, Altamonte, Sanford?

Not till next year, you will get lower gas mileage, less HP useing Ethanol...Should have bought one that runs on LP gas..MUCH BETTER MILEAGE and very easy to find...

You can always buy your gas at those Wal-Mart gas stations... they cut the gas with 10% Ethanol and charge the same price as regular gasoline.. minus a couple of pennies to get you to buy their gas mixture.

LP gas runs cleaner too.

Ethanol is worthwile, as its cheaper than gas by a dollar or two.. But no one in the us is selling straight etanol.. We are behind the times on this one..

I would be ashamed to be seen at Wal-Mart. I wouldn't care if they were giving stuff away.

Signal it's only cheaper because of tax incentives and it's heavily subsidized. You've also been able to get E85 in farming states such as ND and IL for a while. Someone told me there was a station on the coast offering ethanol fuel, I don't know if it's just the oxygenated stuff with 10% or the E85 stuff your flex fuel vehicle can run on. I'll track him down and ask him. Ive also found mileage isn't that bad after a few driving cycles.

The 10% ethanol mixture isn't anything new it's a replacement for MTBE which was a replacement for Lead. Ethanol just replaces MTBE as safer non-carcinogenic oxygenator. According to federal law if they oxygenator the fuel with anything any more it has to be ethanol, although I don't see why they still need to put the stupid 10% stickers up still.

Wow, I truly appreciate all the debate about why ethanol is cheaper and how much better LP would be. But that Doesn't really help much with my hunt for ethanol.
