Florida is waging war against ATV riders.

I began riding ATVs about 2 years ago. Since that time I have seen place after place after place shut down to ATV use. Ocala National Forest is supposed to be "public land". the majority of people who use this are ATV riders. The forestry service claims that ATVs are destroying this area and are closing off more and more areas almost monthly. I have a hard time understanding why it is ok for a logging company to come in and clear cut thousands of acres at a time leaving nothing but flat destroyed land  but my 8" wide ATV tracks are unacceptable.

Move to Deltona, we seem to have one idiot after another riding them down the street flying and crashing into parked cars.

The problems are that so many riders are irresponsible and some people want to control their entire block. My kids ride ATVs and if they behave as poorly as many adults I've seen riding, they won't be riding anymore. We've also had a problem with the guy down the street commonly known as "Kevin the jerk" calling the police on the kids saying they were on his property. He looked pretty stupid when the officer looked at his property which was squishy with all the rain and there were no tire marks.

You bring up a tough question , fact is that when people ride in an area extensively it does lead to irreparable damage (erosion ) and many of the riders are not “safe” by placing children that are to small on a machine they are not able to handle you are risking all of us getting sued ! Child gets hurt or killed on public land the city / county / state gets sued for allowing you / them to ride on the land in the first place! Its crazy but it is how things go now days.

Hey you speak English and vote correctly but do you pay taxes ? LOL You can have the raw fish it tastes like ...well nothing !
